We came as a group and had pre-ordered the individual dishes according to a list of the restaurant, so everything went very quickly and perfectly. The food was very tasty. I'd love to go back.

For groups, efficient premises

The food was pretty quick because the salad was so small that it could have been served in a large ashtray. Pizza and pasta were also really very small portions, none of us got enough and it never happened after Sunday's meal. The quality of the food was ok, not bad, but really nothing special and very small. Never again.

It was nothing.

...as the headline says once and never again. We were at the restaurant at 6:00 p.m. on October 16th with 4 adults and 3 children at lunch. The order was taken quite quickly, and the drinks were served relatively quickly. But then the long, long wait began. We had to wait exactly 1 hour and 19 minutes for our meal! It was also not even possible for the children to get the food in advance (spaghetti Bologna). Wait for the food with 3 hungry children for almost an hour and a half.

Once and never again

We were four and had dinner in the crown. Two calzones, one pizza and one minestrone were very delicious. The service was very friendly. We also enjoyed the ambience very much. We were satisfied all around. There is also an outdoor area. It was too cool for this visit, however.

Nice ambience and good cuisine

The restaurant is very expensive, the dishes are not very copious. For example: two small fried scalopes for 25€. You can almost count the fries, no salads, no vegetables. And when you ask for an extra plate of fries, they charge us 4.50€! Restaurant to avoid

It's very convenient.

After we had booked a day earlier for 6 people plus a stroller, we arrived at the restaurant yesterday on time. The extremely unfriendly service, if you can call this crafty, overwhelmed woman with 3 tables at all, assigned us a table for 4 people. We pointed out that we had booked for 6 people, you said we should put up two more chairs. Service desert Germany Food went, service was inadequate. Not to recommend!!!

Service Desert

I don't understand the bad reviews - service is relaxed, but that was our experience in general in the Schwarzwald. Take your time, relax, you are on holiday and not in a rush. 

We only had coffee - which was fine - but the plates being served to other tables looked really good especially the salads.

Disappointed that they did not have cake to go with the coffee.

Nice spot in Wolfach. Service is fine - ignore the bad reviews.

(Four days, two people with a dog) Really nice hotel in the middle of the village. The food (half board) for such a small price, really good! The room is quite large and exactly as you can see in the pictures. Very nice and friendly staff.

Short vacation

Old Town Hotel is centrally located in a nice town.This hotel is not suitable for the elderly because there is no elevator.A lobby with a hotel bar is unfortunately also not available.Our room No.35 on the top floor was comparable to a youth hostel.In the bathroom there was a small children's basin, a very narrow shower with a 45 cm high entrance and a 40 cm wide exit!There was a risk of falls.Here and in the room there was hardly any room for personal items.Other passengers in our group had their toilet on the ground floor, and not from the bathroom.Fresh fruit was on the breakfast table and a fresh vegetable was available for dinner in the restaurant.

Not recommended, hotel accommodation

The hotel is small but clean. Everything is a little simple, but absolutely enough for a few days. Price performance is right. We ate there too, everything fit here too! The food was very good. Parking, like in any city, is a little difficult.
