In November 2022, the new owner opened the hotel for the first time and it was completely renovated and renovated. We had the largest room and it was really nice with a large bathroom, many windows to ventilate and a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet is good and sufficient. We found everything we wanted and could look at the canal. The house is centrally located, with the bike you can walk and eat in 10-15 minutes in stone puddles. Also the entrance to the cycle path is directly accessible. We can recommend the Land Hotel Strandallee without restriction.

Small but fine

The room was large enough for one person, there was a water boiler and a mineral water to greet. It was cleaned daily, and it was clean. The view of the canal was very nice and varied, and seals, flying wild geese, or morning mist shaped the landscape.

I stayed at the lodge for four nights, found the performance level to be fine.

Unfortunately, the vacation did not quite match our expectations, as we were to live from Sunday evening to Monday afternoon for a total of 17 hours with a non-functioning toilet washing machine - despite the information of the staff there was apparently no repair possible, a replacement room could not be offered to us (but a kitchen sink to replace the toilet sink). Until Monday afternoon, we also had to stay in the not really usable toilet, with every small movement of a loudly cluttered bed (or its latrines), the loose-fitting stitches for the hand washing machines in the late shower, a late-night lighting room, and a late-night lighting room in the hotel, and we also did not like to see anything else happen in the bathroom.

I'd rather leave...

It's a very quiet area. The rooms are a little light. The facilities have been a little old. The beds are low and a little crowded. But there's free Wi-Fi and free parking. Nice and friendly staff.

Couldn't quite live up to my expectations

The hotel is located in the entrance to Hanover Airport. Also, you can watch and hear the planes from the nearby airstrip. We had booked room No. 2 for 5 days. Direct view of the canal to the East Sea. The room is small (about 14 m2) in the cabinet with only hanging facilities. Shirts can only be dropped on the chair seat area. For house dust sufferers, the hotel is not suitable. The curtain over the bed was completely dusty. Under the bed the dust was several millimeters high. After consulting the cleaning force, the dust was removed but the full ashes (container volume) on the bathroom shower did not sit down. Unfortunately, even after three days of frost, the ashes were not always filled on the floor of the bathroom.

Living Flop - Frustrated Top

The Landhaus is a very quaint hotel in a very quiet area on the edge of the Steinhude Meer, just a few metres away from sailing clubs and the natural wetlands of the Meer. If you are looking for shops, facilities, or restaurants this hotel isn't for you, go to Steinhude. But if you appreciate the quiet surroundings, the closeness of the lake and the chance to take long walks, then Landhaus is ideal. 
Very popular with locals and visitors alike. The food is great and the menu is certainly varied. Breakfast is very good with a wide selection of cold cuts, cereal, fruit and bread. The hotel is getting on, a little bit old but clean. The WiFi works very well. 7 rooms. Room number 7 is great. Very large with an open fire place and lounge room with a mini refrigerator and large terrace to sit outside. Being next to a nature reserve you might see a spider or cobweb on the windows, but who cares? The hotel is well off the main road and it takes 35 minutes to walk to the centre of Steinhude village. Jogging 20 minutes across the wetlands and through the residential area of Steinhude. If you want quiet it's great. 5 minutes drive from Wunstorf Air force Base. 8 minutes drive from Steinhude village center. Staff are very helpful, friendly and speak English. I am going back and I recommend the hotel to anyone who is willing to be a little far from the amenities and facilities of the hotels in Steinhude Village. 

Great hotel in very quiet surroundings

On the terrace of the Paulan countryside you can enjoy some freshly brewed beer. The pig haxe offered is one of the best, outside Bavaria. The service is convenient and keeps the nerves even at high speed.:-) The rooms are friendly, clean and large enough. Only the room with the number 1 should be avoided.... the bed quiet!

Right by the sea... great!

I stayed here in November for a week for work purposes. Not that my stay was bad, but in the future I will look for other options. The location is very nice, just across the lake, but quite far from the highway, which was a drawback for me. The hotel's facilities are correct but it looks like they are old enough. In my room I found two large enough spiders in two different days... I had a bottle of courtesy water every day but the bottle was not a rosca and there was no opener. I opened them as I could, using a spoon. One day when I finished the bottle, there was a dedo of water at the bottom of the bottle that day and another day. They are insignificant, but well, everything is showing... In English, it was correct, but the price of the food in the hotel was very limited, although the quality of the food in the hotel was very good, and it is very good, and the taste of the food in the hotel is very good, but the taste of the food in the hotel is very good, and the taste of the food in the hotel is very good, and the taste of the restaurant is

Good location, normal services

We were delighted at the Strandallee country house - with a comfortable, clean room in a beautiful location (direct view of the canal to the East Sea) which exactly matched the description on the homepage - the always warm and thoughtful service of the host team, which never gave up even on stressful days or the hottest heat - with a varied, nicely-arranged breakfast buffet - the good gastronomy of the Paulan beer garden.

Real hospitality instead of artificial glamour!!!

Only a few rooms but well maintained, clean and characteristic, the hotel and nice and above all lakefront, has a good wifi and the staff is very kind and available, the restaurant is great, because there are no Italian channels between the international channels.
