All good. We had a good sleep. Took a walk next to the farm. As we have picky kids we opted for the pizza place next to the hotel. Breakfast was good. Everyone was happy, curtious and trying their best in a professional manner. No complains. 

Really good

Stopped off here on the first night of our trip to Germany, found the hotel very good, I had a single room which was of a good size with a metal bed and a good size shower, which was all spotlessly clean.
The free wifi was good and there was a table & plug buy the bed, just the way I like it for charging my phone and setting the alarm.
In the evening I had a few beers and a Zigeunerschnitzel in a crowded bar, loads of locals in. I enjoyed the beer & food.
The breakfast cold meats & cheese's were also good.
I would definitely recommend the Alten Scheune.

Good stay at the Alten Scheune

We booked a room here as a stopover en route to Montreux. The room was very quiet, basic but SUCH comfortable beds and good wi-fi. The steak dinner we had was excellent value. Every weekday evening they serve a particular dish and we were there on a Tuesday and luckily it was steak night! A big choice of sauces to accompany the big portion of meat is offered and I chose the mushroom one. What a superb meal! A LITRE of the local Riesling was a modest €13, the meal €14.50.

But the flies around the table drove us mad! We made a gentle complaint but the reaction was 'Yes, terrible, aren't they!' There was an 'Insectocutor' behind the bar but these flies were too canny to fall for that! More flies were in evidence at the breakfast bar - I was put off the nice-looking patisserie by them and just had muesli and a yogurt. Though I was offered eggs and bacon. Shame about these flies. They cost the hotel and restaurant my fifth star, I'm afraid! Friendly staff, clean hotel, gret dinner, safe parking. All good.

Peace and quiet, good food , but oh! the flies!

The place is located not so far from the biggest towns of Saarland, it's nice and clean, with WiFi, a good place to stay. The breakfast is also typical, with a nice food selection, restaurant was closed but it seems nice too.
