After 2 years on the walking tour back to the old forge. The hotel and the rooms are very clean, the guests are very friendly and the breakfast is good and sufficient. On the balcony (south side) you have a beautiful view of the village square and over to Zwiesel. The food in the restaurant is very good and the terrace outside is very nice. From the hotel you can take some nice walks. The night was quiet and relaxing.

Walking The Glass Rise

We had a great room, very spacious, beautifully furnished and absolutely clean. Unfortunately, the wireless only worked roughly. Breakfast was very good and in the evening there was a good civic kitchen. Friendly pensioners. Very good price-performance ratio.

Very friendly and hospitable owners, good ground-standing kitchen, nice rooms, similar surroundings, good excursion opportunities in nearby and further surroundings on the outskirts of the Bavarian National Park.

A Nice Stay in the Country

The hotel and the rooms are very clean, the guests are very friendly and the breakfast is good and sufficient. We had actually only planned an overnight stay here on our motorcycle trip. But because it was so nice, we stayed one more night. Our room was big and had very comfortable beds and a private balcony. Plus a sofa and everything very clean. The breakfast and the restaurant itself are more like the 80s charm, but that doesn't break the quality. The coffee came in a slice, and it tasted very good. Hot and strong. And a plate with cut and cheese and, of course, jam. And fresh bread and a steak. We could kindly consider our bar. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a small garden, and on a hot day you had to sit there. So, in my eyes, this should not be a nice pre-prepared sauna, and you should have a good idea of what you're looking for!

Wonderfully quiet, very friendly host

The pension is located in Rabenstein, 3 kilometers from Zwiesel. The area around is very nice and very calm (however we didn't have time to explore the surroundings as we stayed only one night). The room includes everything you need and the bed is very comfy. The breakfast was very good as well.

Nice accommodation in tiny village

The rooms are very clean, the food is very good, the landlords are very friendly, we were there the first time, but we're sure to come back, the hostess prepared everything after consulting us, everything was delicious.

New Year's holiday

We came back after two years and found a management change from mother to son Martin. The boardroom is always well taken care of, the rooms are spacious and, given the small village, very quiet. Breakfast is abundant but the surprise this year was the half board I recommend to everyone. Good and abundant meats, great beer and special prices (overprice of €8 per room and breakfast).

Re-tried and better

If you want to visit the Bavarian Forest, you can look for this small guest house in Rebenstein, a suburb a few kilometers from Zwiesl (a famous glassworks centre) and 10 km from the border with the Czech Republic.
