What a lovely, tranquil place surrounded by beautiful green gardens, trees, exotic flowers and birds! Green Zion Gardens is a relaxing and welcoming spot to come and find peace and quiet and to enjoy the sights and sounds of the nature around. The place is only a few hundred meters from Butre beach which is easily accessible through the path, so you can conveniently have the best of both worlds and enjoy the beach life as well as the quiet, cool shade of the gardens.

The friendly host, Ellis, has done a wonderful job setting up the place by himself. He has a great passion for this place and a lot of improvements and decoration work have recently been done to create this colorful oasis. The rooms are very clean, cosy and functional and they come dressed in beautiful Ghanaian fabrics.

The vegetarian food is delicious with a good choice of Western, Indian inspired and traditional Ghanaian dishes on the menu - we especially loved the veggie coconut curry! Just make sure to allow a little time for your order, as everything is cooked fresh from scratch by Ellis himself. There are also lovely fresh coconuts (picked straight from the tree!) and fresh fruit and fruit juices available.

We really wish we could have spent more time in this little paradise. We made a good friend in Ellis and will hopefully return one day!

Peaceful, Friendly Oasis

Come to this place, enjoy the delicious vegetarian food and the wonderful place you can use to do a retreat. It's just perfect location for that. Ellis is a really great guy and also grows his own bananas, pineapple and different vegetables, all organic.

Peace and Silence

A small piece of paradise, hidden from but close to, the beach. Cosy, beautiful and original buildings and well kept gardens. 
Ellis, the owner and host, makes you feel very welcome, keeps the place spotless and is a good cook!

Could have stayed forever...

Ellis's garden was a paradise for me ..... I'm a French nature lover, fond of gardening and this place was a pure delight for me. the lodgings is close to a beautiful beach, you can relax in a hammock amid beautiful exotic plants and trees, cradled by the birds' songs and reggae music. You can savour excellent vegetarian meals as well as indian dhal and spinach prepared entirely by Ellis the chef. All the food is fresh and homemade. . The rooms are humble but clean and comfortable and you can taste good lemon grass tea for breakfast and any time during the day.
Ellis created this place with all his energy,  in an ethical way and with all respect for the surrounding environment. While staying in Green Zion Garden, you support this beautiful initiative. I highly recommend it !!!

wonderful place  .....

We stayed in the double room in the treehouse. It was a very nice and cosy room, which provided us with privacy, but the door could not close properly. Else our stay was great! The area was very beautiful and quiet and just a few meters from the beach. The vibe of the place was wonderful and the food a delight, it should just be informed that in order to be sure to get the dish that you want, the owner should be made aware in advance, which would have been good to be informed about opon arrival.
