Located between Agia Anna and Plaka Beach so you are close to restaurants, beaches, bus stop, supermarkets but away from the hustle and bustle of Agia Anna's nightlife (can be heard in the distance but won't interfere with your sleep). Easy check-in. Kitchen and bathroom very basic but adequate.

BEST LOCATION

Castello Azzuro is located between Agia Anna and Maragkas beach at Plaka area of Naxos island. You can walk towards both directions where you can swim in turqoise waters and enjoy the white sand or visit a restaurant/the choices are many. The owners are very kind and helpful and the rooms are traditional, very clean and spacious, with a nice balcony where you can see the sunset.Parking area is huge and the rooms include all amenities.Highly recommended!

Great location, family/couples vacation

Great location, only a few minutes away from the beach.
Very big room - with big bathroom, kitchen, big balcony with amazing view towards the sea.
Very friendly and helpful owners, although they do not speak a word of English.
Very quiet place, perfect for a romantic getaway.

The perfect place for a romantic holiday

The accommodation is close to the beach, not far from a bus stop. The dusty, pebbled "garden" around the hotel is not friendly to the wheels of your luggage. The hotel owner wanted to know when we are arriving, so we sent him a message with the time of arrival in the harbor and even the name of the vessel , but not that he was waiting for us in the harbor! He was not even there in the hotel when we arrived!!! The reception does not exist, so we have to phone him on his mobile to ask where is our apartment and the key to it. After a lot of expensive silence and exchanging a few words in pigeon English we understood that we should go to room n8 and that the key is on the inside. He claimed that we would have a WiFi, but not the instruction on the password either! Should we phoned him again to ask for this? I do not think so! Day later we got it and I do not know about the other rooms , but WiFi was not working! TV was there, but microscopic and right bellow the plafond. I did not know that ancient TVs still exist. The next day came another surprise. The kitchen was infested with ants! Out of two plates on an electrical cooker, only one worked (the small one), so forget about a proper cooking. Next day, we met the whole family of the owner under weird circumstances. After returning from a supermarket, we found the cleaning crew?  in our room : man and women with the child of 5-6 year of age that turned to be parents of  the owner with their grand daughter. I never seen this modus operandi  before! They were all very friendly and again not speaking any language except the Greek.

Pay attention: the owner speaks only greek

Hospitality at a whole new level. They made us feel as if we where staying at our grandmas house. The rooms where cleaned daily and where spotless. Great location at a short walking distance from the sea and various restaurants and shops.
