Very clean well cared for apartment.  Owner kept in touch to make sure we were ok. Free safe. Bed was very comfy. Nice balcony with sea views. Beach straight over the road the sea was really warm bar service available.  Quite a few restaurants near by. Bus to Chania is recommended €1.50 tickets available from the booth opposite the bus stop close to Kalamaki mare apartments. Would definitely return. 

Lovely studio apartment

Fantastic place near old town, with bright, spacious, clean rooms and right across the street from the beach. Manolis was helpful, courteous and genial …. the staff were exceptional, as were his coffees and breakfasts. Would definitely stay again. Ευχαριστώ

Wonderful week

Manoli and his staff were so friendly and attentive to our needs.  The room was the most spacious I have ever been in Greece.  The entire hotel and our room was very clean.  The cleaning staff did a thorough cleaning of our room daily.  You are across the street from a beautiful sandy beach with chairs that are 8€ for 2 people.  Restaurants are also near by and you are a short ride into old town Chania would highly recommend this as a place to stay and I will definitely return on my next visit to Crete

Beautiful hotel in Kalamaki near old town Chania

A great hotel with a few rooms, super friendly service, very friendly and helpful, an atmosphere to feel comfortable, the best breakfast café in the area, delicious bowls, pancakes and much more.

Nice room, a lovely breakfast.

Great location just across the road from a good beach with restaurant. We had two rooms at the rear of the hotel so no view, but much quieter as the road gets busy at night, and the advantage of a private patio garden. Nice friendly staff.

Perfect spot for a few nights

Kalamaki Mare Suites is a great place for independent travellers or families with children who want the comfort of a hotel but also like the freedom of being able to prepare a meal in the room. The suites are located very close to a beautiful, sandy beach. The rooms are spacious and clean with modern furniture. The kitchenette was equipped with basic pot and plates, enough to prepare breakfast or lunch. We had a great sea view from our balcony and could enjoy the sunsets in the company of some nice Greek wine. The bathroom was a little small compared to the rest of the room and didn’t feel as luxurious, but it was clean and decent. Our room was cleaned every two days, which was OK for us as we care about environment and don’t need a daily change of fresh towels.
One small remark regarding the room: if you are sensitive to noise and you prefer to sleep with the window open, you might want to choose a room with a different view. The beach is separated from the suites by a road which is quite busy even in the evenings. If you close the window and turn on the aircon (nice and efficient) it’s OK, no problem with sleep then.
One of the best advantages of this place are the staff (suites and the small café next door have the same staff and owner). Very friendly and super helpful at all times. They will help you with bus timetables, basic tourist information and always make sure you are enjoying every moment of you holiday! A special thank you to Mrs Eleni who made our early breakfast on the last day!!! We are looking forward to coming back :)

Perfect for independent travellers

Nice clean place right across from a really nice beach. Views from balcony waere amazing. Everyone super friendly with a cafe bar just downstairs. Everyone was lovely and accommodating. Great place and great  value for price paid. No complaints here

Great place

My wife and I had booked one hotel in this area but were disappointed in how far it was from a usable beach. We found Kalamaki Mare Suites and were quite pleased. The hotel is no more than a few rooms, but they were very modern and nice. The managers were more than accommodating with our every request. There is a small restaurant and bar downstairs and another right across the street at the beach. The view from the room was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The A/C was great. And the balcony was perfect for morning coffee or snacks. The price, especially for a spur-of-the-moment rental was great. We couldn’t have been more pleased and would easily stay there again.
Be aware that the hotel has no lift. Though the personnel at the restaurant and the housekeeper will help,you with anything you need, there is no front desk service. But if what you want is a nice, comfortable room in a good location in the Kalamaki Beach area, this a a great choice. 

Super Nice Room Directly Across from the Beach

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. It's a very noisy place! The road, down the coffee shop - until 1 o'clock at night you can hear hot tourists, glass packets with soundproofing can't handle it! Early in the morning the cleaning lady begins to ring. The doors are banging hard. We only slept in earphones, otherwise you constantly grumble from the knocking doors. I don't recommend for quiet rest.

That's a lot of noise!

Just a quick stay here but well worth it, unbelievable views of the ocean with a lovely beach below, run by a traditional Greek family with an Ozzie connection, so perfect English and ***** star service. Excellent food and great cold beer. The beach is ideal for kids as its shallow, calm,warm and very crystal clear.
