This hotel is in a great location with superb views, easy parking , immaculate cleanliness , friendly staff and reliable Wi-Fi . What’s more it’s unbelievably good value! No breakfast but easy to find local options. 

Best value ever and wonderful.

My partner and I stayed at the Victoria Hotel for 10 days, and it was the most wonderful holiday! The hotel is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, with big rooms, and the view from our balcony over the sea was absolutely magical. All the reviews are right about Stavros - he is such an amazingly friendly, lovely person, who greets you every morning with a smile, and helps you with anything you need (bus timetables, restaurant recommendations etc), whilst still being very respectful of privacy. The little treats left in our fridge for us to discover when we got back from the beach - bottle of wine, chocolates - were just so lovely! The location of the hotel is perfect - right near the gorgeous Ammoudi beach, and only 10 mins walk from Agios Nikolaos, with its beautiful lake, shops and many amazing restaurants. Agios Nikolaos has so much to see and do, while still having such an awesome laid back vibe. We were lucky to be there when the cliff diving championships were happening at the lake - such a wonderful thing to see! We loved Agios Nikolaos so much and adored the Victoria Hotel - thank you so much Stavros, we will be back! 😃

Amazing hotel!

I stayed alone for 10 days at this small owner operated hotel.It's a simple small hotel in a brill location.The room 's are spotlessly cleaned every day and are of above average size.
The owner's Victoria and Stavros are always on hand to ensure you have a happy comfortable stay. 
I was always made to feel welcome as if I was staying at their home rather than at a hotel and of course little treats left in my room helped to extend this further.

I would not hesitate in reccomending this hotel and Agios Nicholas has a lot to offer the holiday maker. 

Do go do try....you will love it as I do.


Victoria Hotel my home from home in Crete

Stavros and Victoria are the best! 
We had best week staying in Victoria hotel.
Comfy small hotel with traditional vibe,  with amasing sea view, extra clean and helpfull staff.  Fresh towels every 2 days, room gets cleaned every day. We got beach towels since we didnt have any. Also got complementary wine and deserts. Just Amasing!
Beach is 3 min walk, market 2 min walk. 
Help from Stavros about all information how to get around was really good. 
If you want piece and good service, beautifull view to wake up every morning this is the place for you. 
Highly recomend this place and will visit again for sure :)

Our eleven days in Victoria hotel were just like a fairytale! The hotel itself is typical Cretan style hotel, decorated and maintained in a traditional way, just what we want to experience during our travels - live and feel like locals. Impeccable cleanliness! The room was cleaned literally from the scratch every day, towels and sheets changed every 2nd day, sanitizers on every floor and everything, just everything about hygiene was on the highest possible level! Immaculate! The room was cosy, terrace and the view are worth every cent and much more than that, we've had beautiful mornings and evenings on the terrace, the views we'll never forget and the views that made every moment in the hotel room so special! And some complimentary candies and a bottle of wine as a surprise in the fridge, so caring! Having a parking spot in front of the hotel was something that's hard to find in Nikolaos, and a walking distance to the beautiful and always calm Amoudi beach are amazing advantages. 
What's the best part of this hotel and is impossible to pay with money, impossible to buy by no means is the kindness, cordiality, niceness and devotion to every single detail of our stay by Stavros and his family... this is something that's so hard to describe! His smile every time he sees us, his availability for any of the questions we've had, his openness and warmth, the love he has for his hotel and his job, the devotion to us tourists and a desire for every moment of ours to be perfect and nothing less than perfect is something we haven't seen anywhere, in any of the places we've been, and we've traveled a lot. Stavros is the most intense impression we bring from this holiday! :) THANK YOU! For every smile, for every suggestion, for every call you've made to help us, advice we've followed and had beautiful time in Crete, for every single drop of effort you did to make our holiday perfect! On departure we felt like we're leaving a brother there, dear brother that we will be missing a lot, until we meet again. We promise we'll be back here and nowhere else when we get back to Nikolaos, and we will, Victoria hotel felt like home. Thank you for everything, we promise to come back for that jar of honey and until then we wish you a great season and much health and love for all of your family, because you deserve it! :)

Thank you for a perfect holiday!

Have stayed here now 3 times over last few years. Stavros and Victoria are wonderfully friendly and attentive. The hotel and rooms kept spotlessly  clean and if lucky enough to have secured a room on the front, dear traveller, you will enjoy the views over the bay which are difficult  to beat. 
I am happy to recommend this hotelto anyone willing to listen and/or read....nothing to disappoint.

Great hotel, rates, views, staff!

We stayed at Victoria Hotel for a week in summer 2019. We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very clean, they contain a little fridge and the usual facilities. We decided to get a room with a rear view as we weren't planning to spend much time in the hotel, and the rear views are much cheaper, but we regret this. Not that there is any problem with the rear rooms, but the front rooms have a truly spectacular view. We had a peek when a room was being cleaned after someone had checked out and the balconies are literally a few meters from the sea. The road in front isn't that busy, I would highly recommend getting a sea view if you can!

However what really stood out for us here were the lovely staff, who were incredibly helpful. Not just the usual stuff, the manager had to stay up late to let us in the first night, they were able to help us with taxis and so on, but they gave us many little presents, cream cakes, a bottle of wine, they were very generous. We had a really great time here and the friendly staff were a huge part of this. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Agios Nikolaus.

It's a five minute walk to the centre of town, two minutes from the nearby beach, and on the same street as some really top notch restaurants, bars and tavernas.

Fantastic stay, lovely staff

Hotel near Ammos beach and 5 minutes walking to restaurants, supermarket.. very nice area and calm establishment. The host was very nice and helpful, good advices on what to do around. Nice attentions all along our stay, perfect beginning for our 2 weeks in Crete!

Great hotel in a quiet area

We weren't sure whether to book the Victoria Hotel, simply based on their most affordable rates. There had to be a mistake, a misprint.
We decided to take a chance based on the high rating in Trip Adviser.
We were not disappointed. The reviews were all true.
Wonderful location. 8-10 minute walk to the lake. Beautiful water view.
Hotel was spotless. Very basic, but all needs are looked after.
If not call Stavros and he will take care of you.
Bed was on the firm side, as are many greek hotels.
Stavros is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
Sent us to Mochlos, amazing lunch in little village.

Amazing location, beautiful view.

This was our visit to the Victoria Hotel. What a little gem of a place.  Victoria and the lady who helps her keep this place spotless and smelling fresh. Stavros and Victoria are the nicest hosts we have ever met, and we have travelled extensively around Greece and many other countries. They were always on hand for a chat and if you needed anything, nothing was to much trouble. Now for the view! Omg what a view from this hotel. My wife wasn't well for the frist few days of this holiday, but would quite happily have sat on the balcony for our 2 weeks.. taking in the sea view with a nice bottle of chilled wine and cakes left by Stavros, what a lovely touch. Hotel is in an excellent location with the beach very close and excellent restaurants just down the road, particularly Patriko. Or you can also  walk into agios nikolaos it's only 10 minutes and again lots of bars and restaurants. Amazing place perfect holiday couldn't of wished for better.  Thank you Stavros and Victoria for a wonderful stay.. Already waiting for next year's flights to come out! We will definitely be back..
