We came back to Residence Gerani, this being our 4th time.  The view from the balcony of "our" apartment is spectacular.  Everything you could need in the clean apartment. Karin, Kelly and her colleague are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.  Handy tavernas and a supermarket easily within walking distance, and a lovely sandy beach.  Agios Nicolaos is a ten minute drive away. We very much hope we will be back again.  We really love it there and Karin, especially, really put herself out for us.  Fingers crossed for next year's holiday ..... 

A relaxing place with a spectacular view

Amazing view over the bay, we had the huge apartment on the top, some apartments might be different. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good internet in the room. Pool a bit cold, but still lovely. Lovely beach at the bottom with free sunbeds and umbrellas. Water a bit cold, there are cold springs flowing into the sea, but still swimmable. 2 restaurants and a shop. 10 minutes from Agios Nikolaos and other beaches.

Amazing place

We were supposed to be staying at Karma Minoan but they cancelled our stay and moved us to the residence gerani. We think we had the best deal as it was a lovely place to stay with fantastic views across the bay and down to Ammodorou beach. The studio was spacious with a very comfortable bed and excellent air con. The place was kept really clean by Karin who changed the towels 3 times in the week we were there. She was so helpful as well.  The studio was in good condition though the bathroom would benefit from refurbishing and improving. There was a small patio outside where we could sit and have breakfast each day and it was possible to cook a meal in the studio ( though we didn't) and a dishwasher was provided. The swimming pool was a great asset and had good sunloungers...it is very deep at one end.  There were also 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments so it would be ideal for families or groups. We were so pleased to have been moved here and would highly recommend this accomodation

Lovely place to stay

It was great. So nice to stay there and enjoy the view. The place was very clean, it has everything you need for your holiday. The owner it is very polite. Pool was clean. 
Best for a family trip. Hope to come back soon 

Great place to stay

DON'T BOOK HERE.
Old rundown rooms and unkept garden, 
deep 3m pool is dirty, tiles broken, mouldy pool tiles.  Shame ocean view and sea view from pool is beautiful. Wifi only at pool.  
Reception closed, French owner was in France, some his friends were there and they took best rooms near pool!  They were kicked out when owner arrived last day!  No person (except French friend who only spoke French) to greet us or look after residence whole 5 days we were there.  No one spoke Greek or English!
Our first room no.10 had broken a/c and broken tv.  Large kitchen and rooms. Ocean views, with balcony, chair table
changed to room no 5 smaller rooms, views beach nice but too hot to sit at balcony, small kitchen, large fridge. 
Very dirty, unclean, spider-webs throughout rooms, NO fly screens, beds dusty smelly, unhygienic,  windows doors have cracks gaps lots insects.
NO ONE cleaned room for 5 days!  Toilet and toilet bins, kitchen bins were full and No instructions where to locate bins!   Greek law states rooms linen, towel and toilet MUST be cleaned by hotel/apartment every second day.
Mosquito infestation coming thru bathroom floor pipes (no plumbing, poo gets collected by truck )  very UNHYGENIC.    We could wait to get out!
Leave the Greek Hospitality to the Greeks!!

Terrible Unhygenic

A very beautiful place, full of flowers at Spring season. Rooms are nice (white and blue), clean and comfortable, having sea view. Beach is close by and the pool gets a beautiful view on the sea. The owner is very friendly and recommending good "taverns" to get nice local food.

Wonderful

The owner Patrick and the manager were both very friendly and helpful. The garden areas were beautiful, the pool is well maintained. A very authentic and welcoming experience. This hotel is not luxurious but it reminds me of Greece before mass tourism. We were on the lower level under the pool. Which is nice, however, I would recommend the pool level and above units. 

We traveled with a family group of 12 people and we all had a great time BBQ'ing here and spending time with the kids.  The beach below is fun and there a few restaurants within walking distance.  I recommend having a car if you are staying here, I think it would be a bit time consuming getting into town otherwise.   Overall, we had a great time here and I would recommend this hotel.  Also, the prices are excellent.
