Almyrida Beach Hotel - One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious with comfy beds and good pillows (important!). The staff are so welcoming and polite, always with smile on their face and happy to help. The food is just amazing. Every night the choice and quality of food was superb, and the desserts were delicious. Good local brew "Alpha" too! Take a short walk across to Almyrida Residence and take the lift to the third floor for a swim in the infinity pool and a cocktail on the luxurious sunbeds. The weather was so hot 36-38 most days and even not much below 30 at night. 

I have seen a few negative reviews about Almyrida Beach, but I cannot see why, I cannot fault it at all. The only thing that I would say they could improve upon, would be to have some sort of entertainment programme that takes place around the pool area after dinner. Live bands, comedian, traditional Greek dancers or similar to liven up the very quiet evenings. Would increase bar sales too as it would encourage residents to stay in the hotel as opposed to going out on to the strip for a drink after dinner. A trip to Chania is a must and don't just go to the main tourist bars/restaurants by the harbour. Take some time to explore the back and side streets for stunning tavernas and restaurants hidden away. Well worth the effort. Loved Crete, definitely going back

Fantastic Almyrida Resort

The food is very tasty and plenty to choose from. I love that there were so many healthy options and much variety. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beach is across the street and 500m further in the corner of the bay the water has no rocks and is smooth sand for a long distance and with tiny tiny waves. It was perfect for our little kids.
The kids also loved the hotel pool. In the evening we enjoyed drinks by the pool in the evening and the quiet area. 
There's a little playground in the hotel and a public one 200m further.
There are many tavernas down the street. We really loved the one in front of the hotel, Dimitris and had lunch there a few times. The snacks at the hotel were also a good option for lunch some days.
The hotel Personal was very friendly and helpful every time we needed something.

Perfect place to relax with little kids.

A delightful hotel!  Friendly staff, good service, fabulous cocktails, excellent air conditioning so we slept incredibly well and a really nice pool.  Food good too.
Also nice to see that the hotel is updated and improved.....very well maintained.
The location is ideal: very close to beaches, restaurants and shops.

A DELIGHTFUL HOLIDAY HOTEL IN CRETE

Fantastic! The rooms are so clean. Breakfast is very good. Great pool areas. Nice and quiet place. Ocean across the street. Nice sandy beach. Good for kids. A small taxi service makes trips very easy and you find what you need in the street. We love it!

Fantastic and clean

We stayed at Almyrida Studios, with a ground floor apartment, basically straight out to the beach. Helpful, kind staff, clean rooms and all in all, a lovely stay, very close to the main street, but still very quiet and calm. The small pool at Studios was quiet and a great place to relax, compared to the Beach Hotel, which is also available to use. Would recommend this for a family vacation with teenagers, or without kids at all. The Beach Hotel is more suited for families with younger kids. 
A great stay,  lovely staff and a great location.
