We booked a weekend to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. There are no words to do justice with this gem.
The location, the staff, the food, the value for your money, the beach, the pool, the rooms, the bed, all impeccable.
We felt pampered and part of a luxury experience but at the same time we had a feeling like we’re at home.
We had our dog to join us, it is absolute pet friendly and even in the hot month of July he had many places to cool off and had a great time.
Thank you all for giving us an unforgettable experience and we will visit again soon.

The ultimate retreat

We found this incredible resort last September and returned with some other family members this June. If you’re looking to get away from it all, enjoy some incredible views while hiking, relaxing on a pristine beach, or chilling with a book poolside…this is your place.  This is a family run resort that began with a Father’s dream 34 years ago and run by his two sons. It’s only 40 minutes away from the port, but that’s enough to keep this resort secluded and relatively unknown to many tourists.  The staff accommodates all your needs and the former Athens five star chef prepares all your meals.

Secluded and relaxing resort on a pristine beach located on the north eastern side Andros.

You need to travel of 3km on a dirt road to get to this oasis of tranquility and beauty. It is family owned and that means you get the best and personal service you can imagine. Every corner of this estate is s postcard. Rooms are very comfortable with airco and good beds. Food is local cuisine and every day with different options so you don’t really need to leave the estate at all. Best to come in may/ june as the beach is then empty and very instagram worthy 😉.

Hidden gem, still untouched by mass tourism

We went in Aegea Blue Cycladic resort in 2th june and we stayed three days.We stay in a villa with the name Honey Moon and we see from our big window the beautiful shiny blue sea..near the villa inside the villa has a beautiful path with 175 steps that going in the sea ..we have an incredible experience all the region of  Aegea blue resort has olive trees , different traditional herbs of andros and beautiful local pink trees ..and has beautiful all the region purple  aromatic levante ..there exist special wild birds that i dont khow the name but has beautiful colors ..the resort was fantastic!  We felt calm and happy  for one moment we felt that we went in a region of heaven ..we drunk beautiful cold cocktails in piscina and we tasted local greek  cuisine and recipes with local cheese with herds and traditional bread .The mornings in the restaurant  were fantastic with variety of tastes . Every day with have very politely ladies that cleaned our villa ,  the inside  aesthetic of villa was beautiful and the beds are big and veyr comfortable..the owner Ion and phillip were very good heart people that communicate with us many details how to pass beautiful in the region .they were very politely and we felt that we khow them many time ago and their behaviour let us to feel very friendly ! Three days in a heaven , Aegea blue Cycladic resort

Overall, the location is stunning, but the quality is not there yet. It's very unfortunate because this has the potential for great hotel, but at the moment it is not.
The food was really bad, and extremely limited choices, The breakfast food was surprisingly terrible, cold eggs, and a few things. 
The only one server for everyone, doesn't speak Greek nor English, and he kept getting orders wrong.
The rooms inside were of a 2 star hotel, with very bad functioning bathrooms. 
The decor is very old, and needs serious upgrading. 
The one good thing were the hotel clerks, they were very accommodating and nice.
Overall, this hotel needs a serious renovation, to pay attention to the details, and the food.

Could be Amazing

Literally the place of our dreams. Everything there were touched with magic . The resort was located at a perfect spot which combines a mountain and a sea view . Beautiful infinity pool with a relaxing Mountain View. The house we stayed was beyond any expectation, perfect architecture inspired by the Greek mythology and everything was so clean . I could stay there forever staring at this Zorgos beach view. Gorgeous buildings and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in . The staff was amazing and the service was exceptional as well. They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. We didn’t want to leave that place . I totally recommend it and will go again for sure . Loved it !

Heaven on Earth

We loved the place but there are some important aspects to be improved.
What we loved: the silence, specially at night (if there is no wind), the pool, the staff (super nice, friendly people and with good english), the views, the arquitecture, the atmosphere, being apart of everything in the middle of nature. You can be totally relaxed mentally. Also there is trails to do some hiking. 
What we didn't like: the unkempt, careless condition of many things (see photo of wall socket for an example). For the price that they charge the place  should be in a much better condition, we were quite disappointed in this area. Also there is no wifi in the villa, only in reception and pool. Breakfast is overloaded with carbohydrates.

I would definitely come back, but first I'd make sure there is a big improvement in general, or a much lower price!


It's great but needs improvement 

The hotel is wonderful, built on a mountain right on top off Zorgos beach (one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen). The hotel is consisted of different houses that are independent from each other, and me and my partner's house had an incredible view (room 104, ask for it!). This is perfect for me, as I do love my peace and quiet, and this way I didn't have to run in to other hotel guests, even though they all seemed lovely. I believe this also makes the hotel very covid-safe, which I find to be important these days. The hotel staff was warm, kind, accommodating and followed health protocols to perfection. Fantastic experience overall!

The most relaxing time I have ever had!

One of the best resorts I've stayed at. Beautiful rooms, views and incredibly friendly/helfpul staff. It's the perfect place to relax as it's quiet, has a beautiful infinity pool and one of the nicest beaches in Andros at the resort's doorstep which makes you want to spend all your time there. We were quite worried travelling with Covid but rarely ran into other guests as the rooms have a lot of distance from one another and the staff take all the necessary precautions (and above) to keep the place covid-free. 
Overall, feel like a new person after 5 days at this resort - left with a beautiful tan, clearer skin, a stronger relationship with my partner who was there with me :)

Great 5 days of

I came across Aegea Blue’s website (which looked phenomenal) and decided to book it for a romantic week-long stay with my boyfriend this past week. It advertised a wonderful restaurant with optional private dining, yoga, massage, room service, and transfers from the ferry port (even via helicopter!). The first couple interactions I had with them were lovely - they recommended several local restaurants with local cuisine, and offered to help book us a car when I inquired. 

Much to our dismay, we found out THE DAY BEFORE our arrival that the restaurant was non-operational due to Covid, and that *none* of the aforementioned services are currently being provided for the same reason. They stopped responding to my messages and I could not reach them via phone or email either - so, surprise surprise, we were also stuck without a car. The drive to the hotel is about 35-40 mins from the port. 

The hotel is extremely secluded, so if like us, you unfortunately have no vehicle, you are quite literally stuck. I enjoy finding new restaurants and exploring the areas I’m holidaying in, so I was extremely disappointed to say in the least that we couldn’t visit a single one. You really need a car whilst visiting Andros as the island is very large. The closest and only walkable restaurant is a small beach-side taverna that we had to climb a steep set of cliff side steps up/down each evening, only to eat out of plastic bowls at our “honeymoon suite” as the walkway is not very well lit when it’s dark so we were uncomfortable scaling the trail in the pitch black. Our “well equipped kitchen” had 2 cups, 2 spoons, 1 plate, and 1 knife. Breakfast is served pre-packaged in Saran Wrap and consists of a couple hard boiled eggs, instant coffee, white toast, fruit salad, and generic pastries. Although there is some semblance of service to the pool (ie. some alcoholic beverages, coffee, water), the reduced food menu currently consists of grilled cheese, salted peanuts, and Lay’s potato crisps. Zero options for anyone with dietary restrictions (I am celiac but have had to eat these options due to nothing else available). It quite literally felt like we were camping. 

A lot of upkeep needs to be done - our toilet seat was broken, mould in the shower, broken tv, no wifi/service unless seated at the pool, peeling paint in the room etc. 

The only positives I can fathom from this visit are the bed, which we both had great sleeps in, the staff, which were very pleasant, and the pool, which is beautiful. Unfortunately the pool was also entirely filled with 20 screaming and splashing toddlers each day so the relaxing vacation in envisaged was actually the complete opposite. 

Overall, we actually ended up leaving three days early. We were refunded for the nights and we missed without question, which was greatly appreciated (the only reason I rate this hotel 2 stars not 1; also indicative that we weren’t the first to complain that we were unhappy with our stay). A real shame - absolutely not as advertised, not worth the price, and we left more stressed out than we arrived. I would not recommend.
