After three days in Syros, we found in this hotel a little corner of paradise, with beautiful facilities, an exceptional view of the pool and the sea, excellent hospitality and service, a little bemool, refreshing rooms, and we would be happy to return.

Full sight!

Kokkina Beach Hotel is a real paradise. The owners have built their own unique holiday universe on the edge of the small town of Finikas. Everything here is very tasteful and well thought out, from the big shaded porch to the well kept grounds. There is a private pool and a nice beach just below the hotel compound. The town has enough restaurants and shops to meet all needs. Not to close, but in walking distance. We loved it!

A peaceful paradise

After spending one night at the Dolphin Bay Club Hotel, we stumbled upon this very pleasant hotel near Finikas, where our comfortable room with a small terrace overlooked the sea and the pool was almost our only home.

It's a very nice place.

Finicas is a lovely Greek village on the island of Syros; tthe Kokkina Beach hotel is a short walk up the hill. The hotel commands a lovely view over the entrance to the harbour. We visited this hotel as a party of 8 returning 5 years after our last visit and things had not improved. The rooms are basic and clean, each having its own balcony with a view. There is a lovely swimming pool with sunbeds but not many mattresses.  Apart from our party of 8 I saw only one other guest. That is the good side, now the down side - breakfast on our first day was basic, the scrambled eggs were grey and rubbery! and there was a very limited choice of anything else. The kettle did not work. The second day there were hard boiled eggs but not much else. We complained and asked for fruit and a working kettle which was provided along with a chef! Bearing in mind that this hotel only provided breakfast (the only thing cooked was the eggs) he did not have much to do.

There was beer and soft drinks to be had but our party decided to have a drink before we left for our evening meal, when we visited the bar there was no one there to serve us and on close inspection it was discovered that all the bottles were empty! On complaining again the following night some bottles of gin and some tonic were provided.

The owner was rarely to be found and when he was around he sat at a table chain smoking with the chef!

It is a pity that this hotel is so disorganised if run properly it could have a very good future, however, as it stands a lot of improvements in customer care is required.

It's a shame

The pool and gardens of this hotel are stunningly beautiful and well-cared for. Staff are friendly and the room was well furnished, clean and spacious with a nice big balcony. The only drawback for us was the location - the local village is quite cut off and has not got a great deal to offer.  Fortunately we had a car and were able to find lovely beaches elsewhere. It was, however, very quiet and only partially occupied, which for the end of July/beginning of August, was strange.

Pretty hotel in lovely garden

At the beginning of June 2013, our 4-month-old son and I visited this beautiful property, which resembles more a private luxury villa than a hotel. View: 180° sea view from the wonderful terrace and from many rooms. Rooms: clean, with balcony and bathroom location: very quiet, walking to the romantic village of Finikas with shops and restaurants (you definitely don't need to rent a car to buy water!!) Staff: always friendly and very helpful garden: wonderfully laid out with large (200m2) pool.

Almost too good to be true!

This hotel is simply amazing! We had a double room with sea view, at a price that defied all competition in August (just call them and don't rely on the prices written in the guides), good size, with beautiful decoration and very clean, just like the bathroom. But the most important thing is the atmosphere that comes out of this hotel: it's a ghost hotel... We felt like we were alone! What we enjoyed! The pool is top (we spent the afternoon relaxing around), as well as access to the entire beach at the foot of the hotel. The place is incredibly small and serene. It's a quiet corner of wifi! The paradise in the breakfast parties.

The Kokkina Beach Hotel is just superb and our vacation was wonderful- the food was excellent and the staff is always nice and very helpful. Even the owners do everything to make you feel good (excursion tips and recommendations of all kinds). So let's imagine our vacation - thanks to the Konsdorf family!

Just great.

A very nice hotel in a very quiet location with direct access to the beach. The garden, terrace and pool are fantastic. The service is good all around, the staff are friendly and helpful. The island itself has so far been spared from mass tourism and offers some sights, such as the capital Ermoupolis with the old town of Ano Syros, some very beautiful beaches and a sea with excellent water quality.
