This hotel is situated in a very central, beautiful and quite area of Hermoupolis. It is very clean, the personel is polite and trully helpful and the room had a great sea view. Breakfast is decent. We can't wait to return there.

Very nice accommodation

The hotel is situated in the heart of Ermoupolis and it's a Neoclassical building with great furniture and very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is absolutely delicious! Anyway, the greatest aspects that I would like to underline (which are the most important ones for me) are the cleanness of all the hotel and the kindness of the staff.

Very nice, old-fashion type building in the center of ermoypoli. the staff was very kind and willing to help with our transport needs or any questions we had concerning beaches, dinning etc.
the only negative point is that you cannot park very close to the hotel. this should be a problem for seniors.

What to really expect:
- Unstaffed from 16.00
- unlikely you'll get a balcony
- terrible bed, even worse pillows (pants were more comfortable). I can usually sleep anywhere, but this hotel really made an effort to have sh** beds
- warnings not to ask for ANYTHING from staff.
- old sh** box TV that has an in-built dog whistle.
- tiny fridge, can only fit two waters.
- bread, bread and more bread with a lot of crust for breakfast. That's it, apart from little juice and coffee. Every person who walked in for breaky for the first time had that same, 'WTF is this sh**?' face.
- locked air con control (you can only turn on and off and it's timed to turn on and off by itself, it woke me up a few times during the night)

Apparently it's an old mansion and the owner tries to keep the " neo classic theme" but that's just bullsh** talk for 'I don't want to spend money on improving facilities or even a better breakfast or changing 30 year-old pillows'.

Find somewhere else to stay, you don't want to feel tired all day and have to face going back to this sh** hole.

This was a very disappointing stay
There are no facilities and you cant even make a coffee in the room. No kettle or cups or glass yet there is nowhere at the hotel that offers this either.
Sheets were not changed in 3 days and a 30ml bottle of shampoo to last 2 people for 3 days
There are signs all over room telling you what you can and cant do in the room such as not opening the toilet window!!
Breakfast is bad and looks more like a breakfast on an airline but worse. Everything in plastic containers and no fruit served
Come on this could be a nice place to stay if owners were not so stingy and so uncaring about the guests experience

Over priced for what you get

The hotel is very expensive for what it offers. I booked the suite for 3 days. But except the amenities, the owner of the hotel is the most rude person I ever met.
1. The behaviour of the owner was horrible. When we got there,(he did not even welcome us), he told me the POS machine was not working, so we had to pay him by cash. I told him, that we do not have cash & we were planning to pay by credit card.  His started yelling at me & speaking very rudely... concluding that "if you do not have cash, find somewhere else to stay". We couldn't leave of course, because there was no available room in any hotel, so we just borough from some friends.
2. The breakfast was a disaster.. a joke! They only served filter coffee, bread, butter & marmalade! And you are supposed to pay breakfast there. And of course, nothing was fresh made,
3. The room we stayed can not be called a suite. It was a normal twin room, very highly priced for what it was.
4. The air-condition was preprogrammed and you could not change the temperature. You could only open & close it. We informed the reception that at night, it was very hot & we need them to low down the temperature. Their answer was that it is not possible. I should tell the owner first. She probably never told him & or he did not want to fix the air-condition.
5, The building needs immediately a reconstruction !!!!!
All in all, I would not recommend to anyone this place, firstly because the owner is a horrible person that has no manners and knows nothing about hospitality & WELCOMING!

NEVER AGAIN

This hotel should had zero stars as the pictures from the web has nothing to do with reality. First of all, it should be mentioned that a famous artist was living in this old house and then it became a hotel. Unfortunatelly, hosters have not performed any renewal/re-constraction in the building since then! There are rooms in the first an the second floor and we had our room in the first floor (so for this floor is the zero star!). Our room was not clean as dust was everywhere and I am not even a psycho with cleaning :) Everything was old and the doors were not closing well. Hence, they had notes everywhere (!) with directions to be quite, to close the windows as they might be broken (!) even the aircondition contol was in a wooden case locked with pen notes what button to press from tha hole they had made!
The walls had missing pieces, the bed was like you were sleeping in a table and the pillows were so thin!
Moreover, wifi was not available in our room and we paid for all of this 350 euros with breakfast -bread with marmelade and cheese thats all folks - (70euros/night, i am crying!).This room should be rent for 10 euros! Never again!

Never again!

The only thing that we liked was the receptionist .She was a very kind and helpful lady who always wanted to help us and make sure we are ok.
The hotel is a neoclassical that needs maintenance immediately! I understand they want a vintage look but this is not vintage.It’s old and abandoned.
The rooms smell moisture and they are not like we’ve seen in the photos.
The beds are dirty and old and they din’t change the sheets and the towels even though we stayed for 3 nights.
There are signs in the room saying that we shouldn’t spend too much water or that we can’t open the window in the bathroom.Also the main window in the room,should be closed because the wind might break it and fall on the street.I understand that it is windy in the Cuclades but if you are a 4-star hotel,as you say, you must make the windows safer,not forbid their use.
Also the A/C remote control,was locked in a wooden box so we couldn’t change the fan speed or temperature and as a result,we had to sleep with the blanket in order not to freeze.If we didn’t open the A/C,the heat was unbearable.
Last but not least,the breakfast was very poor and there wasn’t enough tables.
Overall,our experience was very bad.This is not a 4-star hotel but a 2 star Hostel.It is very expensive and the only positive thing is that it is located in Ermoupoli.
There are many reviews, 5-7 years ago with the same complaints but the owner never took them into consideration.Too bad!
