he staff was friendly but. there was no HEAT. IN NOVEMBER. we of course left sick from there. Zagorochoria is a winter destination and there was no restaurant, no reception, we were drinking from the same 2 glasses on all our stay and there was not ventilation in the bathroom in the junior suite...Whenever we were going in the bathroom we had to open all the doors..and there was no heat after wards. The hot tub was 3 times smaller than they promised. would never go again.

One of the best hotels in the region, beautiful room with fireplace and excellent view. Very friendly personnel.   The location of the hotel is excellent. The restaurant and breakfast was very good. I fully recommend.

Excellent place

There are a huge amount of steps to negotiate- the other reviews are not exaggerating but the owners were fantastically helpful in helping us with our luggage! Both Roula and Kostas were really friendly in an unobtrusive way so we were made to feel very comfortable. The hotel wasn't quite to our taste, it felt very dark with tiny windows, darkly furnished and had disappointing views. However it would probably be lovely and cosy in the winter, and the owners had put in some thoughtful touches so if you like this kind of thing it would be a perfect place to stay. Breakfast was amazing and probably our best in Greece with lots of home made products.

Enchanting hotel

Everything is perfect! The staff is very friendly and gives good advice (+ map) to visit the area. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. The geographical situation is also very good for exploring the area.

Super hotel, beautiful setting

We were exploring the botany and old bridges of the region and came upon this place by chance. Not only was the food really good (try the regional sausage; it's super!), but the owner is an environmental biologist and the talk soon led to orchids. He has a very good knowledge of the plants and wildlife of the area. The restaurant is in a fabulous position approached by a set of wooden stairs ascending the cliff. It overlooks the valley with the famous bridges and the Kipoi one is in a side gorge just a few metres from the hotel sign. We only had lunch here but it's definitely on the list for our next visit to the region.

What a find, food, position and biology!

It's the second time we've stayed at this hotel. It's all great, friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and spacious rooms with a great view of the gorge and the river.

A top class hotel without snobbism. 
Rula and Kostas, the hotel managers, are friendly, helpful and well informed about the area. They are ready to give every information about the trails, the best spot in the Zagorohoria and also... tricks about... mushrooms! I m a mushroom lover and talking with Kostas we found out we have the same hobby, he showed me his last harvest and he prepared for us an omelette with fresh Porcini for breakfast. Amazing!
Rooms are big clean and comfortable, our, number 8, had a nice view. There are plenty DVD to choose to watch in the big reception area. 
Breakfast is abundant and test with salty home made pitas and omelettes (plus eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese and hams) and sweet home made marmalades and, of course, Greek yogurt and croissants.
We had 2 nice night there, we ll be back again for sure.

Excellent!

When you visit the hotel and see the stairs ..... But when you see the smile from mrs Roula and mr Kostas you want to stay for many many days. 
Beautiful suites with god standards. 
We are glad that we met mr Kostas and mrs Roula. 
The breakfast was hand made and you feel like home.

A beautiful place to stay with FABULOUS people

A lovely hotel with a spacious junior suite. Very helpful staff and a good breakfast! Our room had a Jacuzzi bath which unfortunately was faulty, however we were treated to a complementary hot tub/Jacuzzi and sauna (a better option than the jacuzzi bath!).
The WiFi in the room was a little weak due to the thickness of the walls but excellent in the reception area.
Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.

The Mpagia Hotel is a 4* hotel in the village of Kipi (Greek: Κήποι) on the Pindos Mountains in Epirus. The large town of Ioannina (or Jannena) is located about 38 km away. The hotel has a typical, traditional architectural style of the region and harmonizes with the architecture of the village of Kipi. The complex is built on different levels on the mountain (hence not suitable for guests with walking difficulties). Stone and wood from the area are the main building materials. The complex is very clean and well maintained. An absolute peace of mind prevails over the main food area. The village square (about 10-15 minutes walk) can be filled with a cup of coffee or an extra cup of coffee. The hotel was set up to have a breakfast and breakfast, but we would like to have a nice and comfortable stay in the hotel room.
