Had 2 bookings for this year but people who live out there say the apartments aren’t open again and are not opening again this year.
Before you spend your money make sure you are prepared to be disappointed

Are they open ????

The matoula did not open this year and I found out through social media! After a couple of emails to matoula their response was no we are not opening this year,you can amend your booking to next year! I didn’t want to amend to next year, for many reasons maybe I didn’t want to go to Corfu next year, maybe I couldn’t get booked the time that I wanted, so I asked for a refund of my deposit. The matoula said that the deposit was non refundable as stated in the booking policy...now I thought that was just if I cancelled! But they said no it worked both ways,and I later found out that it was supposed to be voucher form the rebooking and if you didn’t use the voucher by Oct 2021 then Greek law said then the matoula had to give a refund!!!!...why the hell should I have to wait over a year for my deposit for 2 rooms back.have been a repeat customer of the matoula and found that the way that they have handled this a total disgrace, I haven’t had any communication from matoula unless I forced the issue, and I feel really sorry for any folk that don’t do Facebook or social media, as that’s how I found out, and I always wondered If anyone turned up totally unaware it was closed.i have always enjoyed the matoula ,but feel very disappointed that they let us down in this way, with no apology, I ended up contacting the tourist police in Corfu,who must have had a word, because next thing I had my 170 euros returned.the matoula has a good following,and I was one of them,but this has left a sour taste with me...but on the plus side I did get to Corfu on the date I had booked and stayed in a beautiful 2 bed apartment round corner and was cheaper than matoula. So sorry I had to write this as the staff at matoula are lovely, but have dealt with the situation very badly.

Your having a laugh

We have stayed at Matoula several  times in the past, the place is fantastic.
We were due to fly out in September 2020 with our family, but the propiertiers have cancelled our booking, they are remaining closed for the rest of the season. We had paid a 30% deposit which they are saying is non-refundable!! Even though they cancelled our booking, very very disappointed.
We are returning to Acharavi, but staying in accommodation just around the corner, the Eriva apartments, they also are excellent, and they don't require a deposit, just payment in full 2 days before arrival.

Visited again in September for two weeks. Was welcomed back like a family member.
All the staff are so helpful and friendly. Soula in reception and Andreas in the bar make sure you have a good holiday. Rooms are spotless and kept that way by the domestic staff. Pool bar serves good breakfasts and lunchtime meals. Some evening entertainment like a bingo night, a quiz night and a music night. This was my 3rd visit and have booked 2 more holidays here next year. I love it

Wonderful holiday

This resort is friendly, clean and a relaxing place to visit with good food and value for money. You can visit for the day and purchase food and drink to use the pool facilities or book a stay at the hotel in their clean self catering apartments. Would highly recomend this resort for either a visit or a stay.

Clean and friendly

Spend another week at the matolua apartments ,it was a warm welcome by the staff who are always welcoming
Nice clean rooms always a good standard .The pool is always clean and tidy and the grounds are kept neat and tidy . Been going there for many years and will probably carry on doing so . Would recommend the matolua apartments to anyone who's wants to go to Corfu

Stayed here for a week and found it to be a good little find for a cheap and cheerful holiday, rooms very basic but clean
Pool area also very clean, staff friendly 
Could do with a wider range of bar stock, maybe some snacks ie pringles and such as you are not allowed to bring your own food to the pool but they don't sell any snacks other than ice creams and the bar food menu 
The food was reasonably price and good quality 
Would defo return

Great value

For what we paid to stay here it was good value for money it was clean and comfortable but it is definitely lacking a few things that could make it excellent ,a toaster and a decent non stick pan is a must if it is self catering .
The sun loungers are very uncomfortable but you can hire a pad for a euro a day but they are a little yucky and could do with a good clean ,we actually went to a different pool locally with better sun beds which were free to use if you brought a drink from the bar ,this it is a real shame that the owners of Matoula have not addressed the issue as I would have happily have used their  pool and brought from their  bar .
The staff are great and everyone is friendly .

Reasonable place

Lovely spacious clean apartments. Close to beach and town. Mini market just down road handy for essentials water milk bread etc. Larger supermarket 5 mins walk. Staff friendly and lovely pool plenty of sunbeds. Lovely choice of tavernas along sea front.would highly recommend

Wonderful

We were at the beginning of September because the weather was very nice but the wrong room was 10 meters from the pool very noisy and the worst thing right by the road we didn't sleep at night because it was so noisy.
