The food is great, the staff is excellent, all praise for the hotel, they have a beautiful pool, every recommendation, they have a great pool bar, the rooms are great, the beach is close, pool is clear

I am very pleased with the whole experience. The place is just in the right place. Not to close to the loud city nights, but yet not so far. Beautiful swimming pool, good bar, excellent food, affordable price, and very very professional staff. I strongly recommend Silver Bay. Five stars for sure.

I was really surprised with the reviews and to be honest hesitating to stay there but it turned out to be a great place to stay. Nice people working there , quiet place, comfortable rooms. Definitely go back again.

GREAT HOTEL

There is a reason there are no reviews between 2019 and 2022 - the hotel wasn't in use.  I don't think anything has been done since then, it looks like they just literally opened the doors in 2022 and just started taking guests!  This was the worst holiday I've ever had and the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

I went with my Mum and on arrival we couldn't check in until 3pm and it was 12.30, so we ordered lunch and sat on the terrace.  Our first impression was that it was a bit dated but we hadn't seen anything else at this point.  I then asked to use a toilet to change as I was so hot, I was told the reception toilets were out of order, so they took me to a hotel room to use a bathroom.  When I got back to my Mum I said if the rest of the rooms are like that one this is not a nice hotel....... We were shown to our room after 3pm but had to move immediately as it was a double instead of a twin.  Then we were moved to a "family" room with a double and two singles which was so cramped we could barely move round it.  The air conditioning wasn't working so we asked for it to be fixed, and they got someone to look at it who said it was fine, but it still wasn't working.  We kept asking and it never got mended and they wouldn't move us as they said the hotel was full, we were sleeping in 33 degrees with the windows shut as the first night we had had them open and then been eaten alive by mosquitos!  We were trying to get our Tui rep to help but they were useless!   On our final night (luckily we were only there for four nights!) we asked to move rooms to have some air con and said if they didn't move us we would sleep in reception!  By 10pm we were in a new room with air con.  This was our main problem but there were numerous other ones.....  mouldy shower curtain, shower head fell off and landed on me while I was in the shower, bathroom dirty and grubby and tiny, dirty towels, fridge not working when were arrived, pool filter not working and pool full of dead bugs and dirt, food was terrible and barely warm.  

From the reviews since we went clearly nothing has been done to rectify the state of this hotel, so please avoid it at all costs! 

Only nice thing about the hotel was some lovely lovely staff, friendly and chatty and did their best to help, but the management let them down.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel at all. The service was absolutely terrible. When we arrived, we had to wait for 2,5h to check in, so we waited by the pool. When we could check in, the rooms were not cleaned, we were approx. 7 couples that had arrived at the same time and none of our rooms were clean at check in. So we had to wait for another 1,5h, and weren't even offered something to drink in the meantime, I had to ask for it. More people came down from there rooms to complain about the cleaning. When we finally got to our room, it was ok cleaning wise, but it was very moldy in the bathroom, the show curtain had mold and was absolutely disgusting. They had painted over mold on the walls and ceilings, the lamp in the bathroom was blinking all the time when turned on, the shower was leaking every time we took a shower so it was soaking wet on the floor. They were suppose to clean 5 days/week, but only cleaned properly 1 day. The rest of the days they just folded sheets. The towels were not changed, we had to ask for new ones, we also got one pillow that was rock hard so we had to change that one too. Overall, really bad service and I don't recommend anyone that want to have a nice hotel stay to live at this hotel. The staff was giggling behind their face masks when people complained about the cleaning at check in. No one even apologized for the late check in and bad cleaning.

Terrible hotel

The toilet bowls were dirty brown and hadn't been cleaned in months. The bathrooms were only just acceptable, as long as you don't mind the shower plugs partially blocked with hair.
DON'T LOOK UNDER THE BEDS. If you're lucky you will just find dirty old socks and fluff dirt going back months.
The breakfast was laid out the night before, temperature 38, 30˚at night.
The receptionist was nice. the pool looked clean, and the Slovenian lorry drivers who use it as their stopover were very polite.

So, first holiday in a while, the pictures on TUI website looked nice.

On arrival, our first impressions were of disappointment, a rundown dirty looking hotel requiring some work. Clearly, nobody from TUI has been to check out the hotel. It looked nothing like the photos.

We were due for a 10 night stay but had to move on after 6 nights due to the state of the hotel amid health and safety concerns. We were keen to move on sooner. With some tidying up and a little investment, this could be a very nice little hotel to stay at. 

Would NOT recommend staying at this hotel because …. 

1. Arrived at lunchtime, no one was at reception to greet us, waited 15 minutes with no staff member in sight, not the best of starts!

2. Pool area is horrendous, very dirty, filthy sunbeds, broken stairs and a pool full of bugs and bacteria, requires urgent attention a major health and safety issue

3. The rooms are very disappointing, the bathroom was tiny and dirty. Shower blocked access to the toilet and was very difficult to avoid flooding due to a lack of shower holder. Dirty hairs lying around, a balcony door you can’t re-open from the outside so leaving it open allowed all the bugs in. No kettle as advertised. 

4. Dangerous walk down to Gouvia in the dark as there are no lights and large holes on the side of the busy road with pavement only on a very short section. Also tough in daytime heat.

My only positive observations were that staff are very cheerful and friendly, breakfast was ok, Gouvia is nice to drink/eat and could easily access Ipsos, Corfu Town & Malibu Beach Club by bus.  I would recommend staying in central Gouvia where the hotels looked cleaner and comfortable to stay in.

Shambles of a hotel - do not stay here

Straightaway I must say that 4 blobs is pushing it. The hotel is tired and needs investment. Everything is there but so much more could be made of it.
The staff are great...friendly and helpful always.
The pool is a classic rectangular job...Nice and deep to keep it from getting too warm in 35 C. But the ladders need to be replaced urgently.
Nice pool bar area with shady trees.
Nice varied shrubs in the gardens.
We arrived very late owing to a delayed flight ...grrr..and initially were put in a really poor room with aircon dripping to make a flood on the floor during the night. Room therefore needed to changed on the first morning..TUI will be further contacted about this.
New room was fine and perfectly acceptable for what we paid...so not the Ritz but we didn't expect the Ritz.
Breakfasts were good...lots of cold meats,cheeses,yogurt  and pastries galore with savouries too including bacon some days, and more local/rustic hot dishes at other times. 
Coffee from a machine is OK...tea is a teabag with hot water.
OJ was more like squash and poor....please improve.
Light meals were available but little promoted..they are badly missing a trick here as they can cook well...revenue could be increased here with a little effort.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the bus stop for Corfu Town...the hotel is thus a bit off the beaten track and is generally very quiet.It was  getting busier during our mid June  stay but didn't feel crowded. 
Oh...please replace the sundowners or give them the clean of their lives...
Needs an upgrade,  fundamentals are there to be a nice wee hotel.  It's just about a 7.5 out of 10....but clean and with a nice team. So come on Across Hotels...spend some money on the place.

Needs investment...

Long post but Please read!!

I don’t know where to start and this may be lengthy but if it makes you think twice it will be worth it!! We have just got back from a 2 week stay, arrived at 1.30am in complete darkness greeted with a man with an iPhone torch, he checked us in and took us to a room With no electric, he tried several different electric keys and eventually we got sorted, I say sorted but the electric key kept being taken from
Our room by the cleaner, So we had to go to reception every day to request another!! We were greeted with a very dirty bathroom and a  tired room that looked nothing like the pictures! We were tired so headed to bed and thought we’d tackle it in the morning! Attempted a shower but the water was freezing so we headed for breakfast, we had a tea and a coffee out the machine but the milk came out like cottage cheese…. So we left them. The food was all uncovered and there were flies all over so we stuck to bread for breakfast thinking it was the safest option, however no toaster! We headed down to the pool which was dirty, with no filtration system!! Headed back to the room…. The view from the balcony was non existent and there were numerous cigarette ends and beer cans that were still there at the end of 2 weeks, the shower head didn’t fit in the holder and flooded the bathroom, the toilet was dirty and black stained at the bottom the flush, shower, taps and drains were all corroded and rusty and still no hot water!!! We complained and was told that we could pay an additional €15 a night for a superior room, which we declined and asked if a rep could visit, they assured us one would attend! We headed off to look for the marina, as stated on trip advisor, the hotel is situated just in front of the marina with shops and restaurants….. this is not the case it’s about a 20 minute walk to the marina!! We then walked back down the “road” to gouvia town, i use the term “road” loosely, There are no pavements, no lights and the vehicles drive like they’re on whacky races, I’ve attached pictures of how dark it actually is. By the 2nd week a rep still had to been to visit so we contacted them on the app and explained on more than one occasion that a rep needed to attend this hotel, people were turning up and leaving the same day, there were numerous complaints, but all the chat said was to fill in a feedback form which we will be completing!! 
To top it off they asked for an additional €45 for late checkout and then said they’d forgot to mention to us that we owed €21 for tourism tax that they forgot to mention to us on our first day.  The WCs downstairs were either out of order or covered in (well I’ll spare you), but they were still the same the following morning. There was a constant smell of sewage, we walked through reception one day for us to be greeted with raw sewage as the drain was being unblocked, the air conditioning unit smelt damp and if we had a more flexible budget we would have escaped too!! For health and safety reasons TUI need to visit this hotel and soon!!
