Our room is quite large with small kitchennete, kettle, kitchen utensils, table, safe, TV with mostly Greek channels and great comfy bed.
The bathroom is rather large with a shower.
The only downside is absense of elevator, so one has to walk upstairs and there is locked outside door, so if you are a couple, you will unable to share the key.
It's better to ask for a second key to solve the latter problem. The host is very helpful and nice. We were presented with a small welcome gift. The room was tidy and cleaned every day.
Our room bancony gives a great outlook towads Neo Chora beach. The street is not especially calm as it average busy and has lots of people walking on promenade,
but it's not too noisy.

The locations is great, just 900 meters and you are on the main street of the old city Chalidon. The hotel location on the promenade with Neo Chora
beach starting just in 100 meters. Futher west you can find more cove beaches and the Sunset Beach in Agia Apostoli in 5km. Eastern part of Chania
has only small beach Koum Kapi, which is a very narrow strip of sand next to a concrete promenade. Good swimmers can swim within old city next to
Sabbionara Rampart, but that's just tiny strip of sand next to a city wall and during fresh wind the place features large waves.

The bus station is located in 850 meters. The shopping in Chania center provides surpisingly few options: Sklaventis in 700m in front of city walls.
Synka in 750m in from of the bus station. And there is a great small supermarket Kaveos in 650m, if you will walk west towards Agia Apostoli,
where you can find large Synka, Lidl (3.6 km) and AB (2.5 km).

Cozy place in a footstep from a beach

Hosts of Semeli studios are warm and lovely, they are always at service and soo nice people! Location is perfect, everything is near: restaurants, old city, beach. Rooms are clean, with everything you need. View is nice, looking at harbour and beach Nea Chora. It was my pleasure to be there, I recomend and I would chose Semeli studios again!

Great, lovely place!

Really good Semeli - I've stayed twice on cycling holidays and its ideal for couples or single people.Location perfect with 10 minute walk into main Chania,some local restaurants excellent (and locally used) and a beach with sunbeds nearby.
Hosts George and Stella very friendly,WiFi good,rooms lovely.Recommend the slightly pricier sea view rooms overlooking the harbour.
Great value - I'll be back in 2020 !!

GREAT VALUE,LOCATION AND OWNERS

the room is a bit small specially for two but it's clean, well furnished and very quiet, i had a room backward. Good location a bit away from the crowd and good restaurant nearby.
and the price is rather cheap for Hania.
the only downside : there is no staff at night.

good value

stayed 3 nights here in June. We had Room 3, not sure if other rooms are the same, (certainly the room next door was the same as we had a look in when the door was open) but the layout of the room was a little odd. The room narrowed towards the window, with the kitchenette at the wide end of the room. The headboard was on the long wall, opposite the door, but the bed was actually at right angles to the headboard. So you could sleep across the bed to make use of the headboard, or risk losing your pillows in the night if using the bed correctly.  Apart from that, the staff were polite and helpful. The room was swept daily and the bins emptied, but there was no evidence of any other cleaning while we were there. We had a room on the side but there are rooms with a sea view if you pay extra. The hotel is on the seafront, so not far to walk to the beach. About a 10 minute walk into the old town.

We stayed here one night arrival and on the way back . 
We hope to stay again this year 2018. What a lovely hotel rooms exceptionally clean . The owner and his wife  so friendly as Greeks are . Advised where to eat. Bus stop opposite the hotel and great trip for 15 euro taking in the sights old town, fort,city tour wirh all the beautiful buildings .the war museum so much to see and hop on and off the buses if you like . You are brought back to where you departed. Highly recommended. 

Back to hotel . Rooms have lovely views onto the bay and old town is only 10 minutes walk along the seafront beautiful . Lots if restaurants and beach on your doorstep. 
Overall i give the hotel a big thumbs up .  We will  hopefully always stay here  on our journey to Heraklion and back again .
