I recently stayed at this hotel with my friends. Overall, the hotel was quite clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. One downside was the lack of vegetarian or vegan food options at the bar, which limited our dining choices. Additionally, it was inconvenient that guests weren't allowed to bring their own food or drinks to the pool area. Despite these minor drawbacks, the cleanliness, great view from the rooms and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. The hotel is definitely worth the price we paid.

Good hotel for the price

Best plays in Greece Creta good rooms good people ho works there especially Mario and Katarina brother and sister so nice and helpful and the Cleaning lady's Soo good and always helping . Nice food Breakfast and dinner 5 stars al the way ;) 

And if you go to the beach next to the hotel ask four Mike at green and blue ambrellas like 30 m after you start seeing the beach.. 

Super hotel  best people 

watch out, watch out.
we are from the Netherlands, but we put this up in english to reach so many people.
We have unbelievably bad experiences with this hotel, on the first day we arrive and we go to check in and the hotelier gives us the key of the room and the remote control of the air conditioning who we even had to pay extra, he didn't even come from behind his desk away and we were able to find out where our room was.
no Greek reception as we were always used to.
when we got to the room we were actually shocked, dirty and it smelled, but we were tired and we thought if they come clean tomorrow it will be all right,
the next day we have been away all day, but when we came back to the room in the evening our air conditioning did not work, the remote control did nothing, so we went downstairs and the owner would send her husband. who came a little later , already grumpy and would look at it,
after an hour still no response so i went down to ask how things were going she immediately started accusing me that we had dropped the remote expresse and she persisted but why would we do that at 30 degrees then the owner started laughing at me in the face and said that it could not be made and that they could not do anything. I only said that it will be very hot in the room tonight because it was 30 degrees.
but she laughed in my face.
and started screaming at me that I better keep my mouth shut, because we had done it on purpose.
later in the evening at midnight the owner came up with another remote that worked, but he was cranky again and walked away without saying a word.
lying by the pool also makes no sense, because in the afternoon they are gone and everything is closed and you can not get food and drink, very strange and not guest friendly.
all in all this hotel is not recommended and the numbers are not correct what this hotel gets.even when we left there was no one there and we had to put the keys under the door of their office
in short: old and dirty hotel, very unfriendly people who are not interested in their customers, and a bad breakfast.

Watch out

Dimitris Hotel is not a 5* property. BUT what offers makes your accommodation really fantastic!
We stayed for 3 nights during the pandemic on August the 3rd. 
The room was located on a higher floor and the view was gorgeous! 
As a room may was basic (and that is all we wanted really) BUT it was sparkly clean!!!!! The toilet, the actual room and the balcony were so extremely clean and that made us feel safe!
The owners  Anita and Giannis, really exceeded themselves with their hospitality and their positive attitude! They made ALL OF OUR DAYS!!! 
Breakfast? Oh my God... Different breakfast every morning... tasty tasty tasty and tasty!!! The bread, the local produce.. what not to love! That put a smile on our face every morning!
The swimming pool? Super clean and tidy, all the rues in place and such a pleasant area of the hotel to relax. I am not a pool friend, but in this case... I LOVED IT!!!!
The area is really convenient and close to many attractions, bars and reastaurants... not to mention the one of the best beaches to swim!!
Free parking at the hotel area is also a plus!
We really look forward to visiting you ASAP and is our turn to tease Giannis I believe!

F A B U L O U S! ! ! !

Fantastic accommodation, helpful owners, pleasant environment

After 10 years of our first booking we decided to do it again. Already the first time was it real surprise and a fantastic holiday. Nothing was changed, it still a lovely place, peaceful, beautiful, relaxing. The rooms are big with view to the sea or the mountains. Everything very very clean and all precautions are taken very seriously and straight away. The service just perfect. The new owners are very friendly and kind and they always have time for you to answer your questions or wishes. It was a great holiday, we will return.

Lovely time

Just returned from two weeks and feel thoroughly relaxed after our stay at this haven of peace & quiet. Were welcomed on arrival and allocated a room on the ground floor even though we had emailed ahead requesting room on higher floor; was advised we should have requested two or three weeks before arrival. However, Yannis found us a room on second floor after a couple of nights with lovely views of sea & mountains overlooking the swimming pool. Breakfasts were continental of good quality and adequate, served outdoors on the covered terrace. Swimming pool was well maintained with no shortage of sunbeds & parasols and the whole area was spotlessly clean as were the rooms with maid service six days each week.
Ten minutes to local tavernas; we liked Palude, Nisi, Finikas and Pefka which were quite busy so had to reserve to be sure of a table mid evening.
Fifteen minutes to a great beach with soft sand and gently shelving. Plenty of sunbeds and shade, free for the price of a drink at the associated taverna. Couple of supermarkets close by for water etc. Would recommend this hotel; just hope it survives the demise of T Cook.

Tranquility.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely little Hotel.
We got a lovely welcome and the owner really dose he's best to make it a great holiday. 
 Very clean hotel  and lovely, friendly staff.
It’s a short walk to the beach and restaurants and well situated
 I honestly couldn't  fault my holiday other than I wish I could have been there for  another week or two ,

lovely little hotel

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely little hotel.  
Was greeted by the owner who then gave us information about the hotel, area etc, then showed us to our room which was on the 2nd floor at the back with lovely views of the olive trees and mountains.
It was a bright spacious room with enough storage for everything. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was good pressure with plenty of hot water.
Our room was cleaned everyday and bedding and towels changed regularly.
Great pool very clean (due to guests using the shower as asked) with plenty of loungers.
We had a toastie and pizza for lunch which were really tasty and the bar was good with enough choice for everybody.
It is about 5min walk to the tavernas and a bit further to the beach. The walk is fine and found the road not too busy, plenty of room to walk along with street light when walking back at night.
This is a great little hotel that has everything for a really relaxing time.  Hope it stays that way.
If you want anything more you need a 4/5 star hotel and pay their prices.
In our opinion it should be higher than a 2 star.

Great relaxing hotel

We have just got back here from a weeks stay and we had a really lovely time.  Our room had a great view of the mountains from our balcony.  The room had a small kitchen but as we were bed & breakfast we only used the kettle.  The breakfast was nice, it was different every day but usually contained an egg of some kind, or ham, cheese and bread rolls with a selection of jams, cereal was also available.  Yes, it was delivered to your table (which some previous reviewers didn’t like) but there was more than enough to fill me up.  Our room was cleaned every day and sheets and towels changed halfway through the week which is the same as I have experienced in other Greek hotels and isn’t an issue.  I found the bed very comfortable and slept well.  The pool was really nice, very clean and the sun loungers comfortable.  The bar was also good with a good choice of drinks.  The best thing about the hotel was that it was lovely and quiet,  I personally was glad that the bar isn’t open at night and we could sit in peace on our balcony.  The town itself has more than enough bars and restaurants if you want to drink late.  We found the restaurants in the town excellent and had some great food in them.  This is our 3rd visit to Thassos but our 1st at Dimitris and we think it is a great budget option.  

Great holiday

Discovered a wonderful island made even better by the hotel. Fantastic location with best beaches on the island. Very clean and lovely, friendly staff. Continental breakfast was ample. Would come again as it provided everything that we needed and wanted. (If you want a five star hotel then you need to pay the five star hotel  price!!!)Thank you to all the staff for making our visit to Thassos so special.
