Apartments are simple but functional, the pot is located in the small village of kato korakiana, where there are also services such as supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. maria, the housewife, is a kind person and always ready to solve any kind of problem. cleaning and changing bathroom laundry done one day yes and no. if you decide not to go to the sea, the pool is a really nice place to spend the sunniest and warmest hours of the day, or to take a relaxing bath after a day of intense sea.

Villa Marinos - relaxing

We booked this as we did not want to be in the middle of a resort and as I knew the area from years ago we felt that this property would suit us and, indeed it did!

From the moment we arrived Marinos and his daughter Maria were so helpful and were always available if needed.  

The studio itself was very spacious, spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen area was newly refurbished with a filter coffee machine and there was ample  space for clothes in the wardrobes and drawers.

The mature gardens were a delight with all sorts of mature shrubs and fruit trees but the pool area was my favourite part as it was so pretty and very quiet; most days we were the only people there.

It was a short walk to the village which had a supermarket and several tavernas and bars but I would say that a car or moped would be essential when staying here.  

All in all we had a lovely, relaxed stay here and I would recommend it to anyone who does not want to be in the middle of a resort.  I hope that we can come back!

A Great Little Find

Lovely clean hotel with fabulous mountain views, and a lovely swimming pool. Excellently located just outside Dassia and close to Kato Korakiania and it's bars, Tavernas and supermarket. Handy for the whole island and it's many beauty spots. Car or moped essential. 

I suggest that the other moaning Belgians should research where they are going before they travel and stop moaning about their own inadequacies.  It's hardly the hotels fault that they are so stupid. 

Maria and Marinos are lovely people and were a delight to talk to in their many languages, and they made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing stay. 

Excellent accommodation with the addition of cooking facilities. 

We stayed in these apartments for 8 days, having had a chance to see the other reviews in person. I'm not going to tell my whole story, but I'll write down the main things. As soon as we arrived at 7 in the morning we were looking for a reception to address, but there were no indications or other references, so we had to wait more than an hour to know who to address. To have an average level of cleaning we had to uncomfortable the maid for a few times the first day since they were always coming out spiders, hair, dust, etc. Even in the space between the two single beds and the shower. There is only one toilet paper supply, not enough for the week.

A good place to rest

The house is located in the center between the localities of Dassia and Ipsos, but you can only get there if you are motorized. Don't be fooled by the proximity to ipsos, a perfect city for young people (sea and returnees/food of the day and local and bar at night), the owners will not be pleased to procure falvi if after 11 you hear a fly flying fly, but it didn't last long. Therefore it is COMPLETENTLY SCONSIGHT GIRLS.

Too loud and too dirty.

I stayed seven nights at the property in a single-room apartment booked through another well-known site holiday at a discounted price compared to the single cost of the room per night. The simple and essential accommodation, bathroom including everything, kitchen with electric plates and refrigerator, also present plates, cups and pots besides the American coffee and toaster machine. A/C present and paid with daily rate. Located about 1600 mt in clean air from dassia/os which then become about 3 km in the curved vicinity leading to the sea. Obligatory car or scooter rental.

Relaxation and silence

Last september we booked a last-minute 10 day trip to Corfu. After reading good reviews about Hotel Marinos we decided to give it a try. The room was very basic but clean. The location was quite a (steep) walk from the tiny centre of Kato Korakiana and for people who don't drive like us, an intense exercise. But that's not what really bothered us... Apparently we were the last visitors of the season and it showed. Towels were only changed once during our stay and the sheets weren't changed at all. We had to ask three times before we got new toilet paper, and owner Marinos told us that normally we had to buy it our self... The hotel was almost empty but still had quite some disturbance at night from the owner and his family who lived next to our room. The swimming pool was dirty and as such not usable. Marinos was friendly and welcoming and offered us coffee on several occasions. But he likes hearing himself talk a lot and reminds you frequently that he's a real communist. Because we are Belgian he also like to remind us the sorry state of Greece at the moment was all the fault of Brussels. Funny at first, but it gets tedious rather quick. He only speaks Greek and German. Luckily I speak some German but my wife doesn't, so not so cool for her. The weather wasn't that great as well so all in all not the best trip we made to lovely Greece.

PS: There was a wifi-ap outside our room so I guess they had wifi. But because I am a web developer and spend lots of hours a day on the net, I want to be completely offline during my holidays.
