We have just had the most beautiful relaxing holiday ever! 
We stayed in Vounaria a couple of years ago and we liked the quiet of the area and the stunning scenery. This time we managed to reserve a bungalow in Ban Sala, which made this holiday even better. Only a few, tastefully arranged bungalows on a lovely hill with a breath-taking view. Every bungalow is arranged so you have some privacy in your piece of garden; the interiors are new and functional and spacious (useful if you get caught by a summer storm), we found the living room and kitchen area perfect and were able to cook our food as we'd do at home! 
The owner is extremely polite and friendly and knows the area very well so can advise on restaurants and sightseeings should that be needed, but never intrusive (BTW being British makes it easier to communicate for those who don't speak Greek), the service staff cleans every day and they are also very polite and friendly should you need anything different from the standard. 
Ban Sala is certainly our go-to place in this area of Greece! Thanks

This beautiful place is just perfect for couples looking to relax in quiet surroundings in front of the sea and quiet beaches. Away from tourist traps, bars and disco nightlife, but  with authentic restaurants in walking distance. Our full recommendation goes to Bansala where you will find the most helpful hosts that you can think of.

Wonderful Bansala

Ban Sala Villas are superbly designed, equipped and furnished. They have glorious views and terraces on 2 sides so there is always sun or shade. They are set in a beautiful garden with a fabulous pool and, the cherry on the cake, a sandy path to a small, hidden , sandy beach within 10 minutes. They also have John, patient,friendly and endlessly kind and helpful and charming, always smiling Anna who keeps everything spotless. There is also Maddalena but sadly we have yet to meet her. Hopefully next time.
There are a number of delightful places to eat nearby and an excellent shop in Neo Koroni. We love it and can't wait to go back.

A dream location, perched over the Messinian Gulf with fabulous views

Just arrived back from Bansala villas and it has been wonderful. We need to say a huge thank you to John and Anna for making us feel very welcome. Our villa was very private and the cleanliness was exceptional thanks to Anna. The pool and surrounding area is lovely and the views stunning. Above all John really made the visit a special experience. He is warm, welcoming and very kind. It was quite possible the most relaxing holiday we have ever experienced. Thank you

Just wonderful

My fiance and I stayed here ten days and it was spectacular in every way: relaxing setting, sweet-smelling air, quiet moonscapes, delicious fresh restaurants in walking distance, a clear-blue sea, a swimming pool with a view, hand-picked figs from the tree by the wonderful owner John, and fabulously well appointed villas. We will be back and will bring as many friends and family as we can to experience this perfect place. Or do we keep it a secret? It's so hard to decide !! :) Thank you for this holiday. Can't wait to come back.

Perfection

This is an incredible place and we can’t wait to return! The cottage was just right, with everything that we could have needed during our stay. Having a kitchenette meant that we had the option to have breakfast and simple lunches on our private patio, as well as enjoying great food at the many restaurants and tavernas that are just a short drive away. The attractive setting of the gardens and the lovely pool could mean that you choose never to leave BanSala.  The location is beautiful and peaceful, with incredible views across the shimmering sea. Vounaria is a quiet, unspoilt village, that is an excellent base from which to explore the many beaches and other attractions of the peninsula. We especially enjoyed a trip slightly further afield to Ancient Messene and also had great day’s sailing with AreonSail.  Finally, the care, personal attention, tips and recommendations for every guest from John, the owner, made this an even more special place to stay. We certainly plan to return.

Absolutely stunning!

Great location, next to an amazing beach with a really warm and clean sea! Madeleine and John were most welcoming, and their restaurant recommendations were the best ( I wish we asked them on day 1 as some other places we walked into were a little disappointing!) The phone signal in the entire area is on and off, so we had a real Internet detox, but Bansala was so cosy, with that lovely infinity swimming pool, delicious figs fresh from the tree, and aperitives at the bar. 10 days just was not enough!... Every summer we go to new places in the Med, but we'd definitely like to come back to Bansala!

A perfect beach holiday!

BanSala is such a beautiful and quiet piece of paradise. The villas are stylish with beautiful views. John was lovely and constantly checking in on us and bringing us fresh figs while we lay by the pool. There are plenty of local restaurants for real Greek food nearby and the beach is a small stroll down the hill. The perfect place to read plenty of books!

Beautiful, relaxing and quiet

We chose Bansala based on a friend’s recommendation. It was everything they said and more. 

The limited number of villas means more personal attention and a really un-hotel like feel. As a family, we don’t get to stay at super luxurious hotels but Bansala made us feel pretty special. 

The owners were friendly and nothing was too much trouble - from drinks by the pool to restaurant recommendations and even a poolside plate of freshly picked figs!

We explored the rustic and rural surrounds of the region and returned to our sanctuary each evening.

Fantastic, friendly and super relaxing

We were a group of six and stayed for four nights in this wonderful idyll in this beautiful part of the Peloponnese. The villas are exquisite, very comfortable with all that we needed and more. Wonderful views of the coast and the Mani over the sea, swallows swooping over the pool in gulps, fresh figs picked from the tree by John, drinks at the bar, tips and chats with the owners and sandy beaches within easy walking distances. Local beach bar and restaurant at Akti beach with best calamari of our holiday. Perfect.
