+ Clean & nice room. Amazing location 5 min. walk from Simos beach. Good service during breakfast.

- Poor breakfast (not even fresh orange juice), cold eggs and limited variety. From the first minute of our arrival the frontdesk requested to prepay all the nights despite a 30% downpayment. Second night the electricity of our room broke down and we were forced to change rooms in 11pm, but this is part of life right? Unfortunately during the check out the manager didnt make any minor discount in order to overcome this unpleasant experience of changing rooms in the middle of the night. So the Amount you pay does not reflect the offered services.

Next time we will try for sure Double Bay hotel,next to simos mare.

Excellent location,nice decorations in the room. Good variety and quality in the breakfast with very professional services. Very close to the iconic beach of Simos in Elafonisi.
Good facilities also for families with kids. Highly recommended.

Great place

My large family (six of us) and I stayed at SimosMare two years ago and walking up to the hotel this time truly felt like a homecoming. I can’t explain in words how even though the hotel is made with mostly rock from the island, it still gives a warm, cozy feeling.  Every detail in the architecture, furnishings, and accents around the hotel and pool are lovely. I know this is a resort my family and I will continue to make a tradition in subsequent trips to Greece.  The included breakfast was also such a treat each morning. There is something available for every palate, young and old. The short walk to the SPECTACULAR Simos Beach is another reason this hotel is so wonderful!!  I highly recommend this lovely hotel on this quaint island so close to Peloponnese mainland.

Like Coming Home

We stayed at Simos Mare for 8 nights in July 2019 and it was a lovely experience! The hotel is quiet, tasteful and very clean, the staff very attentive and helpful and the location simply amazing! Only a few moments from the exquisite Simos Beach, an easy walk with our two small children. We can't thank the staff and management enough for making our holiday so special. Definitely recommend a stay there if you are visiting Elafonisos, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing experience!

The architecture of the building and the rooms where beautiful, it is of stone and wood and the furniture blended in tastefully. It is impeccably clean everywhere and the service is excellent. The staff is very polite and always eager to help and serve. I must say that this hotel was one of my most enjoyable stays. I unreservedly recommend it.

Beautiful  architecture

I was here for a girls weekend, and this place was perfect! Our room was spacious and clean, with a nice bathroom, air conditioning, a small fridge, a safe, a balcony, and 2 twin beds. I should note there was no TV, which was just fine for us, but might be a challenge for some (ahem, husbands 🙄). Breakfast, which was included, was excellent, and our dinner at the restaurant was also very good. The receptionist was very attentive and friendly, and all of the staff members we met were helpful and nice. The walk to the beach was about 5-10 minutes, and there was a section that was organized, so we could get chairs and umbrellas and food. The beach and the resort was amazing — I wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful hotel near a fabulous beach

We had a memorable stay on Elafonisos Island in Greece. We stayed SimosMare Resort, just minutes away from the unmatched Simos Beach or better known as Simos Paralia. Probably the most incredible beach in the world and the best that I’ve been to. The staff at the resort were very welcoming and saw to our very need with a smile. Our room was well priced and and had a beautiful view to the ocean. The on-site restaurant offered a great breakfast and you can order numerous other meals during he day. I recommend the resort to anyone who intends to visit this unforgettable island. 

Our trip to Elafonisos

It is a veeeery beautiful resort! I have been there with my husband and we really liked the atmosphere. Everything was clean and it is very relaxing. The view is extraordinary and extremely amazing. The food was really delicious and tasty. I wish I could  go back once again and enjoy every single moment spent there.

This review is not about the stay in the hotel itself. It is just regarding the unprofessional way of doing business.

I did a booking for this hotel on 15 march 2018 for a 3-night stay at the end of september.
At that time the booking was confirmed and i did a prepayment of 130€ as required by the hotel, to guarantee my booking.
Today 22nd august i got an Email that due to technical reasons and some maintenenace issues the hotel needs to close at the 15th of september and therefor they would need to cancel my reservation and would apologize for any inconvenience. 

WTF do they think ? 

In my opinion they just cancelled my reservation because it´s the end of the season, and they are not willing to keep the hotel open with just a few guests. With their apologies they informed me, that at that time of the year it would not be a problem to get another hotel....ok, so what ?! 
I have stayed in around 200 hotels in my life, and i just got 2 cancellations, both coming from Greece, this is the very unprofessional way, they are doing business...

Very unprofessional - just judging the way of doing business not the hotel itself

The hotel is in a good position and offers large rooms (best quality/cost ratio is for semibasement rooms, larger and fresher than others).
The facility in general might need some refurbishments (bathrooms, swimming pole starts to show signs of aging).
Breakfast is good, while wi-fi doesn’t cover alla areas and rooms!
Probably in this area it is one of the two three top choice.
