We arrived here past midnight and were greeted by Nick who took our cases and showed us to our rooms (4 couples) and said he would keep the bar open for us so we could have a drink. The hotel is 3 floors, so not high. We were on the 3rd floor saying in room 307. A short flight of steps up and we arrived. We dropped out cases off and went back downstairs  to the bar, where Nick shown us a map of the area and directions to where the main strip where the tavernas and bars are and where the beach and harbour was. Very helpful.

The bar area is air conditioned, with a pool table and a large array of board games anyone can play and a well equipped fridge with drinks and ice creams .
They have Mythos on draught and all the spirits you know and love. Various Kopperberg ciders in cans, Fanta, sprite and all the soft drinks. 

Back at the room. 
Ok. It is basic. But it was very clean.
A toilet and shower, 2 beds ( you can push together), and wardrobe space. The shower is more like a wet room as there was no shower curtain, but I don't see that as an issue. There is a fridge, a hob with 2 rings, a sink, and underneath,  a cupboard with 2 cups, 2 sets of cutlery and 2 plates.
There's no toaster, for those that are wondering. And no hair dryer for those lucky enough to have hair to dry. There is no safe in the room. The safe's are all down in the bar/reception  area which cost  2€ a day  and Air conditioning which costs 7€ per day.
The rooms all have balconies and as our room had a corner balcony, we had the great views of the sea and the pool.

In the morning we went down for breakfast.
The breakfasts range from honey and yoghurt to full English. I had a breakfast batch/roll/bap which was a good size. 
Here we met George (Nick's dad - great friendly guy) and Emma (lovely lady served our drinks and food). You can sit outside by the pool to eat food. The menu has plenty to choose from and we ate here for lunch most days. 

The pool area had plenty of sunbeds and  we never had to fight our way though towels on the beds. There were always a few towels on them but  plenty of beds to go around. There are areas in the shade and some parasols for those that don't like sizzling to a crisp.
The pool itself is a decent size pool and very clean. We laid around the pool every afternoon after venturing out in the morning. 

The location of the hotel is about a 15 min walk to the central area of Bar street and the beach and a 20mins to get to the harbour. (Bearing in mind this was walking in 32 degree heat! So it probably could be done quicker)
There are a couple of eateries closer by and also a supermarket is a 3 minute walk up the road.
The hotel does a BBQ night every Monday but we couldn't make it due to circumstances, but our friends went and really enjoyed it.

Rodos Sun is a basic yet clean hotel, but it's  the staff that need recognition here. They were so friendly and will do all they can to help. A big thanks to Nick and everyone there. 

Tips:
This hotel is a cash only hotel so take euros. The prices are reasonable.



The staff are the reason people come back here.

Excellent hotel, family run. Very nice owners and staff ready to help you when required. Enjoyed the Monday evening BBQ, excellent entertainment. The bar/restaurant opens for breakfast and prices are reasonable.

Very nice swimming pool with plenty of sun beds available. 

Excellent holiday

A wonderful hotel - very hospitable, friendly, safe and clean. The family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Nick the owner remembered the name of every guest - quite amazing! No hesitation recommending this lovely place.

Lovely hotel - would highly recommend for families 

Hotel is exactly like pictures, nice pool and had breakfast there a few times and was decent. Although area wasn’t very great around hotel , looked a bit rough. Paid for air con which was 7 euros a day. Although shower in room sprayed everywhere and made floor soaking wet and curtains don’t block light out so in the morning it’s super bright which is hard to sleep in. Also cleaners cleaned the room every other day and when we left the room to leave we saw the cleaners smoking in the room and one day when we came back we did think it smelt of smoke in the room which isn’t great. They do provide toilet roll and two pillows also which was good. 

As expected

Wow what a warm and friendly place to stay! Nothing was too much bother, it was clean and well maintained. Great location too. Nick, Emma and their Mother made us feel very welcome and they put on a fabulous Greek bbq on a Monday… Epic.
Highly recommend to both families and couples.
If we could say one thing( at the start) it would be that as a young family we would of preferred to be in one room instead of two, but we were next door to each other and to be honest it worked out better.

Greek Gem

What a place.....Nice accommodation, great pool, good snack bar but best of all the Greek hospitality. This is a family run place, George, Myra and Nick and Stella, so welcoming and friendly. Nick remembered your name throughout your stay and always had time for a chat.....Best BBQ night, really worth going and fab food, we had a great night meeting other guests....love the personal touches that made you feel like family and the lovely send off for every guest...can't beat it...so personal compared to the big hotels...definitely go back....see you next year Nick for my Cosmopolitan...Paul and Audrey



Fabulous Greeks

First time in Rhodes and we couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay. 

We can see why many people return year after year and it was lovely to see how happy and excited staff were to see the returning guests.

The place as a whole is very clean. 

The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Maids come around every other day to change bedding and change towels. 

The bar has a variety of drinks at a very reasonable price and the food is outstanding. Especially the bbq on Monday nights you will not be disappointed the food is cooked perfect and you will not leave hungry. 

The staff from Nick (boss), Maria, George, Emma and everyone else they are so friendly, down to earth and do everything they can to make sure you have the best holiday. They take time to learn your names and always greet you with this. 

They are so helpful, we hired a car for 4 days and Nick spent time to create us a intinery on what to visit and the order to visit them. This is something he didn’t have to do but done as they genuinely care about their guests. 

There is nothing here to fault, we are truly going to miss this hotel & staff but hopefully will be back soon.

Amazing place with amazing staff

We stayed here during August 2022 and have had an unforgettable amazing experience. The family who runs the hotel are so considerate and accommodating and helped make the experience fantastic. The hotel is situated near lots of great bars and restraunts and there is easy transportation to get to other parts of the island, we enjoyed two fantastic days out at symi and Lindos which was no problem from Rodos sun. The facilities are clean and well kept and the hotel serves fantastic lunch food as well as really nice drinks. I couldn’t recommend the hotel any more.

Couples Holiday

We spent a week at Rodos Sun and had an amazing time.  Nick and his family go out of their way to make you feel welcome and relaxed.  The rooms are basic but that is pretty much standard for Greece.  The pool is amazing, with a nice deep end and warm water.  Food and drinks are quite reasonable at the hotel.  I usually try different places when I travel but this would be my exception, would definitely go back.  Highly recommended.

Great vacation

Just back from a week staying at the Rhodos Sun Faliraki Rhodes. From start to finish the Family run Hotel was great to stay in. Nick, Myra, George Stella and of course Emma could not do enough for you. The Monday night BBQ is not to be missed and brings all the guests together. This is a great base to explore the local areas with it being a quite but handy location. Will definitely be back in the coming years
