We had a great stay at Camares and definitely got value for money.
The room was small but neat and the cleaning service was great.
Excellent location just outside Chora and a calm yard where we enjoyed the surrounding landscape.
Myrtia was the coolest host ever, giving us all the necessary tips and lifts without feeling too obliged.

Chill stay in Folengandros 

We stayed in Kamares for only 2 nights on an island hopping tour of Greece but wish it had been longer!! Really lovely room, with a stunning view of the iconic Folegandros church on the hill. Excellent location since it is only a 5 minute walk from Hora, the main town. Good air con, and clean rooms. 
The island itself is well worth a visit as its so different from the standard tourist destinations in Greece - in winter they only have 350 residents so the town is incredibly cosy and friendly. They also have some stunning views of the island, which is still virtually untouched in parts and looks very traditional. I wish we'd been able to stay longer - an amazing spot for incredible value, so would thoroughly recommend!!

Beautiful rooms and location, amazing island

The accommodation provides everything you need for a short stay.  The bus from the port (2 euros) will stop very near it if you ask for Donkey Scooters. 

NB there is no sign with the name on outside. It's between the petrol station and Donkey Scooters.

It was easy to walk to the Chora from where you can get buses to the port and Ano Maria - and from them on to various beaches.

Basic but good

Clean and quiet studio in a rural setting, five minutes’ walk out of Chora. Very comfortable bed and nice terraced area around the property. The small studio was equipped with everything you need and the cleaning lady was lovely. Sheets and towels were changed on second day of our stay. Basic accommodation but well done.

Value for money accommodation in quiet location

These were very nice rooms for the money. 
Good points - plenty of outside space, not far from Chora and the bus stop, transfer from the ferry. The rooms were very clean and well laid out.
Bad points - nowhere comfortable to sit ( there were concrete seats outside but they are not comfortable, there is a nice garden area but again no seats) . The rooms are right next to a warehouse so the only view I had from room was a wall.
It was a ten min walk into Chora  or going the other way a twenty min downhill walk to the port, the bus is regular to come back up the hill so it was nice to walk down and sit by the beach (not smooth sand) have a drink and lunch then catch bus back.
Pano meria was a let down just ramshackle houses along the road no real centre.
Agali beach is walkable from the rooms last bit is steep downhill, very small beach area with cluster of rooms to let around but nice cafe and bus stop to get back up hill to Chora. 
Most confusing thing about the rooms is being taken to another hotel to pay, that hotel is down in the port area and looked nice but I did notice no comfy outdoor seating there either.
Overall good value for money 

Nice room

You get your small house in this complex of apartments. Each house is 5 meters from the other and you can get some privacy. You also have a small veranda where you can chill. The only drawbacks is that the wc is a bit old and that the wifi is not perfect in every apartment. However I would recommned a stay here as it is only 200 meters from the chora (3mins walk) and also it is reasonably priced!

Very good apartment for its price

Our host Konstantinos was very helpfull with info about the place, beaches, restaurants and bars and also info about traditional things to see on the island. He also offered us a lift to the port even hours after our check out!
The room was clean, but quite small. Very quiet, perfect to relax!
