Had a wonderful stay in Folegandros, Irene was super helpful and her communication was brilliant. Great location in the centre of Chora. The apartment and facilities were nice.
Definitely would recommend!

Wonderful stay

The hotel is located in the center (at the end of the street), also very close to the bus station (3 minutes by foot). I did not meet the host, but she provided me with all the information to easily access the apartment. Private balcony overlooking an olive field and overlooking the church. Top! On the other hand I had chosen an apartment a apartment with a kitchenette, but there was no kitchenette. There were plates, covers, glasses... but no pans, no stove, no electric plate, no sink... only a mud and a mini kettle for coffee. So it was impossible to make me eat.

The rooms offer very basic amenities, very small bathrooms and very bad sound insulation. However, they are very centrally located in the Chora of Folegandros, just a step away from the main square and all restaurants and bars. The owner was very flexible with certain changes we made due to a change in the numbers of the group and the cleaning staff was also very helpful. Overall we found the rooms quite expensive for the quality they offer. 

Central location - basic amenities

The address on the booking only in Greek was related to the neighborhood only. Location we walked for over three hours with luggage to find him. I also turned to the police station which I later found to be a hundred meters away they could not give us an answer as well as four car renters in the area, several shops, Pharmacy, Travel Agency, Nor the manager of Anastasia Village right in front of the house. For over two hours I tried to call the mentioned phone number without any answer. Even others trying to help us called the phone number always without answer. They also told me that their number was wrong and maybe the prefix was not right. In addition, it was the one from the island of Greece.

Chez Irene Sweet Pension to be avoided

Simple but at the same time comfortable, cozy and clean rooms equipped with a small bathroom, a refrigerator a small electric plate for cooking and lounges and dishes to be able to make breakfast its excellent position in the center of the Choira which is reachable on foot in two minutes. It is also close to the bus stop also two minutes on foot. Mrs Irene also has a restaurant To Spitiko and for guests of Irene Rooms usually reserves a small discount! The only drawback is that the rooms do not have air conditioning but only a ventilator ratio!

A pleasant discovery

The place is nice, the room is right, near Choira, but we have never seen the owner, we have not had hot water (unable to start the chauffeur), unable to keep the luggage, the day of departure (need to go further, to the owner's restaurant) Fortunately, we found another shopkeeper,hot suit, our only unpleasant experience, in Greece.

How to Avoid

Great location. Large, clean and quiet room. Courtesy staff, wifi ok. Sure to recommend. I don't know what to write anymore. Why is there this 200-character menu??????? Even tripadvisor is bureaucratising. You can't force someone to write a poem. Otherwise, you can cancel one.

Situated in the traditional village of "Chora" near the restaurants and the bars ....the outside look seems a typical traditional style but in the inside is a totally different story :
Old furniture and rusty bathroom.
Let's not talk about the cleaning : the sower full of hair from other clients and insects in the wardrobe...
No air condition ...and when it's hot you can't stay inside..in the second floor where we stayed there was also no internet connection .
...well, in the same price we found another structure that offers CLEAN and beautiful,( good taste decoration ) and we thankfully moved after paying the whole amount at the owners ( that were not even polite when we complained for the situation....)

The comfort of the room can't justify the price

The squalor and neglect with which this study is run would have been difficult to accept even in the 1980s (let's imagine now...). In the order we found: Old bathroom and uncleaned. No maternal bed but only 4 single beds stacked next to each other. Wifi that doesn't get to the first floor (where was our room). Room cleanliness done randomly, usually after lunch (so if you want to go back to get a rest... you can't). A thousand feet inside a drawer (who knows when it hasn't been then). Compensation prices nothing, in the sense that we in August paid 90€ a day.

Shot... not acceptable.

We were there for two nights so didn't need anything too fancy, just somewhere clean and safe to sleep/shower.  From checking reviews beforehand we were aware that there were no staff on the premises and that the owner could be found at the family restaurant.  This was ok.  When we knew what time our ferry would get in we emailed to confirm that we would like the free pick up.  There was no response so we weren't sure if anyone would be there, but as it was the owner's son was there to meet us.
Irene Rooms is situated in a good position, close to the bus stop and just off the square. 
The room was ground floor.  There was a small side window (we kept the curtain closed for privacy) and windows in the door.  The terrace outside was small - opposite the cleaner's room/laundry and it seemed our terrace was a prime drying spot as we found the clothes maiden full of towels placed on the little space we had.  Incredibly annoying had we wanted to sit out.  Fortunately we didn't.  Other rooms had bigger spaces and nicer outlooks.  
The room itself was big and typically furnished in pine.  There was a cute tea tray set up by the fridge.  No air con but a fan and hair dryer in the wardrobe.  Beds were comfy.  The room was clean and decoration in good order.  The bathroom however was minuscule.  I've never had a shower so small and I've been to a lot of Greek places.  Good water pressure and temperature though.  It was just something we put up with.   Our room wasn't cleaned/bins emptied over the time we were there.  
We asked around the locals to find the restaurant to introduce ourselves to Irene to sort out transfer back to port and paying our bill.  This was simple enough.
If we go again we'd look at other accommodation as we saw some nice places and whilst Irene Rooms was the no frills accommodation we expected it wasn't exactly cheap and I'd pay a more for a bit more comfort/style.  Just personal preference though.  Don't be afraid to stay there.
