This is my 3rd time at this gem.  I  absolutely love this island because it has the ambience of Mykonos and Santorini without the crowds, consumerism and costs. Fani provides an amazing experience; she is welcoming, her staff are friendly and accommodating, and the accommodations are perfect. We absolutely loved our room and especially loved the Friday night party with DJ. And our great conversations with Plato. And the hidden patio overlooking the sea and sunset was the best. Highly recommend Fata Morgana. Won't be my last visit. 

Another fantastic stay with Fani

We stayed 4 nights Fani looked after us so well we stayed in studio 10. The weather was so hot and we loved the pool and all the beaches nearby. Fani lent us an umbrella so we could enjoy the beaches without getting sunburnt. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The place was spotlessly clean and in a great location being so close to the chora and good position to transport. We didn’t have a car and just used the local buses which worked well. The breakfasts by the pool were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Folegandros is a beautiful island with lovely restaurants, great beaches and not too many tourists. We will be back.

Fantastic 4 days

Our three nights at Fata Morgana were everything we dreamed of! Fani and her wonderful staff took great care of us and we absolutely loved Folegandros and believe we made the best choice ever in booking Fata Morgana. It’s location in the chora makes it perfect for wandering the beautiful streets with many shops and restaurants. The design of Fata Morgana is so very charming with 14 beautiful studios with incredible views. We stayed in room 5 which met our needs nicely. We took breakfast by the pool and enjoyed the fabulous sea views and service by dear Yiannis who also provided transfers back and forth from the port. 
Folegandros was peaceful and beautiful and Fata Morgana satisfied our dream of staying on this beautiful Cycladic island. Thank you, Fani for your kindness. We will return.

Best location on the island! Dream-like setting

The hotel is situated in an ideal location at the edge of the chora with fantastic views over the sea and the town and is just a few minutes walk away from the restaurants, tavernas and bars.  The rooms are fabulous, we stayed in room 3 which was beautiful and had stunning views over the sea, but all the rooms looked great. The pool area is lovely and there is plenty of space to relax without being crowded and the staff are very helpful.  I would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel with fantastic views

Just enjoyed three days at the lovely Fata Morgana in Folegandros Chora and will recommend it highly to any friends visiting this beautiful island. Location superb with stunning western and northern views. The illusions caused by mist over ocean and village are unique in my experience and were the source of many peaceful hours. Just steps from this most charming village with countless fine restaurants. Kind and accommodating staff. Number Five was large, extremely comfortable, with a big private terrace. The pool is the ultimate luxury  on an island where beaches are beautiful but one must work to get there.

Dreaming with Eyes Open

We arrived in Folegandros at 23:00 at night 05/08 and where collected by a hotel we booked online that ended up being pretty awful. Next morning we packed our bags and started looking for an alternative. That’s when we came across Fata Morgana. Our room had a large private balcony with space for three bed loungers and fantastic sunset views. The beds were comfortable, the staff really friendly, right next to Chora, with a lovely, super clean pool. If you like cats, the owners are kindly looking after a few of the local ones. Also the place is spotless clean. Wonderful place, we will visit again!

Stunning, cosy Fata Morgana

Great location, large rooms, with separate lounge area, kitchenette and huge terrace with amazing views. A wonderful hotel, with bus service outside, short stroll to the village and its restaurants. Fata Morgana hotel is owner run, and you feel the love as soonas you are greated. Very good breakfasts, fantastic staff, make this hotel "as good as I could have wanted/imagined". We loved our (too short) a stay, and will return. In fact Tracy my partner would move to Folegandros if she could, she fell in love with the hotel and the island.

This hotel matched our dream of living on a small greek island, simply loved it

Very nice place, each apartment is unique and has a lot of character. Also very clean. Great terrace with a swimming pool and amazing views. The staff is super friendly and can give advice or help with anything. 5 min on foot to the center of Chora with a lot of good restaurants. Would come back again. The whole island is populated by a lot of cats that roam freely (it seems that the islanders take good care of them), so perhaps be careful if you are alergic. 

Nice atmosphere and a great view

My return to this beautiful hotel did not disappoint- I was welcomed with warm hugs by Fani who owns a very special hotel on the island of Folegandros- I didn’t want to leave ...
The hotel is a series of studio rooms built atop a cliff and enables uninterrupted views of the sea and the stunning Greek sunset.
The pool hotel is a delight and the standard of cleanliness everywhere is exceptional.
Breakfast is included and can be taken by the pool or on the balcony of your room- her staff this year, Yiannis and Vassili were engaging, polite and happy to chat- and Vassili makes the best margaritas!
Fani takes immense pride in caring for her guests - I have nothing but praise for her and look forward to returning again- it’s a very special place in the world.

My favourite place....

This place is like a fatamorgana in the dessert! Just with one exception it is all real! The staff is the kindest and make you feel super comfortable and welcome! The cleaning staff is super professional and the rooms are cleaned superbly every day! New towels every day! The breakfast (try the Greek specialities) honors the chef! Triple AAA!
This resort is the understanding of being pampered !
