The worst hotel in the world.
Irene and her mother are thieves, con artists and liars who will use all their fraudulent creativity to make your stay on this beautiful island a nightmare. To avoided at all costs, plus the mediocrity and ugliness of the rooms really aren't worth it.

Please stay away from this scammer! He booked us two rooms, got the payment, then said that he had no availability but did not return us the money! Terrible experience. We recommend to avoid this hotel

Awful experience!

Despite being located in a nice spot on the border of the village and having an amazing view to the sea, Bilios Apartments lack in equipment and service. The bathroom is pretty uncomfortable and the kitchen is poorly equipped with few items, which makes it difficult to plan and to cook a proper meal.
The hosts are pretty unwelcoming with the guests and it is not just a matter of speaking different languages. While checking-in, they canceled our reservation on Booking "by mistake", so that we both lost the track record of the vacation as well as our loyalty benefits on Booking.
It's a pity, since we really loved Fourni and had a great time there, but definitely wouldn't recommend this accommodation.


Unwelcoming place in a beautiful island

The rooms were great. Also very clean. The whole experience was great. Can’t forget to mention the great view. I lived on the hotel on the cliff above the port and I had all the island under me. I really enjoyed the trip there.

Dreadful.  Dusty rooms, air con does not work.  Dirty towels which they charged me for, 10 euros for a red mark on a hand towel, I tried to tell them it was already like that but suddenly they did not understand English.  Arrived and walked all the way up to the apartment to then be told I had to walk back down to the port to check in.  On check in I was told I had to cancel my booking with booking.com and then they would give me a room if I paid them directly, I did this and was then told I would be charged an extra 2 euros per day unless I paid cash.  I found them to be extremely rude and arrogant, all they want it to see how much cash they can scam out of you.  On a plus note, the view from the apartment is awesome, but long walk up a steep hill to get there and then a lot of steep steps to actually access the rooms, however, the view doesn’t compensate for the bad attitude of the owners and staff.  Not worth it

Nice view such a shame about the rest

Attention: I strongly recommend that before booking this hotel you read the negative reviews on TripAdvisor or Booking. We had a very bad experience that we could have avoided if we had read the reviews on Booking before booking because it seems that what they have done to us is a common practice in this family business. 

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment with sea views on booking and when we arrived they gave us a double room overlooking a street. Evidently we complained and they told us, in a bad way, that it is what it is. In the end after much discussion they offer us a double room with terrace (nothing to do with the apartment) for the same price as the apartment or give us a discount on the initial reservation. We accept the new room but they tell us to cancel the booking and pay them directly (this way they save the commission so they win twice, giving you a lower accommodation at the same price and saving the booking commission). Anyway, as the island was 100% occupied we had no choice but to accept but we put this review so that you are cautious with this business because they are not serious.

On the other hand the room is very, very basic and the mattress was horrible and in very bad condition so we had very little rest. All in all... an experience to forget.

Be careful with this place. Read opinions before reserving

We booked a month in advance, a very nice, cheap and non refundable offer. Two days before our visit I got an email that my creditcard was refused; I had to give another cc, or the reservation would be cancelled and of course I did. I also send an email to apologize with the offer to pay cash upon arrival. The next day  at 23.40h I received another email that my reservation was definetely cancelled. I only saw the email in the morning and called my cc company. No attemps were made to charge my card(s), so I made a phonecall. A lady asked my name, yelled that my card bounced and hung up on me. Luckily we we able to get another appartment at Fourni, the last available one, but twice as expensive. That weekend there was a local wedding, and we found out that these owners do this very often. Unfortunately, the - very friendly - booking.com agent I spoke assured me that they have the right to do this, according to their conditions. They do not deserve the genius status at booking.com.Therefore: WARNING. Do not book for the low prices they offer! The stress is not worth it! What... don't book at all.

The family are happy to trick, con and lie to make an extra buck. They are two faced and downright nasty.
Most customers are upset and let down. 
Very sad as fourni is great with fantastic people. Then there are family bilios!!

Billios mafia cheats

They canceled my reservation 3 days after I booked it in booking.com and after I tried calling them several times. They also threatened me with a lawyer after I informed them that I will call booking as well as the Consumers Advocate. I have now two tickets to Fournoi and no place to go on the last minute.

They don't know how to use booking

I booked through booking.com a room at Billios studios and I arrived to Fournous from Agio Kyriko (Ikaria) an August afternoon. I had a lot of baggage and I started climbing the hills (if you don't take the "snake" road you may take a straight road comprised of a lot of stairs). When I arrived at Studios, I called the hostess of the studios. She claimed that "she hadn't received" any booking.com reservation and to make matters worse, she told me that she did not have any rooms for the night. She proposed me another host who came and picked me up from the hills (paid 35 Euro, instead of the offer of 29,50 I would pay to her). Although she claimed that she hadn't received any reservation, she urged me to cancel my reservation, obviously to avoid the booking.com's commission. I didn't cancel my reservation and she had the audacity to claimed to booking.com that I didn't show up! 
I had to clarify the situation and I contacted booking.com in order to advise them that they have a partner who obviously overbooks the rooms operated by booking.com and consequently violates their terms of service. Booking.com were very kind and they offered me a refund of 10 euro. 
In a nutshell, I would advise against booking to either Bilios Studios or Bilios Hotel. Boycott the hosts who treat the customers in such a way.
