Very nice, good sized, and air conditioned room. The food was also very good, mainly Mediterranean, and the staff was lovely, especially Irena, the lady who worked at the reception, who was very kind and gave us advice on how to get to some places we wanted to go, and George, the restaurant manager, who was lovely and always had a big smile on his face. 

A big plus is also that the hotel had three swimming pools, only one of them had nice and comfortable loungers by it, which were all gone by the crack of dawn. 

Undeniably, the best part of the hotel were the views. Absolutely stunning!

Nice hotel but bear in mind it is huge, village is a good description.

Food definitely not 4 star quality expected. Cooked food not very hot unless you get to it quick. 3 star at most, some days 2.
There is only one bar serving the whole site and if you are the other end of the site it's a bit of an extended round trip to walk to, especially with a lot of stairs, and you're only allowed 2 drinks per round. It didn't make all inclusive worthwhile as easier to walk to mini market for a bottle of wine or other alcohol and water. Put another bar the other end please. 
Bar closes at 11pm for all inclusive, have to pay after that. 
Bottled water not free!
No hotel information in rooms. First couple of days spent traipsing to and from reception to find out meal times, wifi access, safe codes.

We were greeted by the hotel receptionist who was very helpful.  The rooms have been revamped since May 2022.  Very clean. Food was good however although a lot of the same choices each day .  A slight drop in quality in food since 2022.  Daytime and evening entertainment not as good as last year.

Value for money.

Short words - great experience. I stayed here with my family for one week and everything went very well. The hotel's prices are friendly, the rooms are clean and the hotel staff are doing a great job.
I forgot my dear talisman chain in my room when I left the hotel and found out about it many days later when I was home already.
Many thanks to the hotel staff for their honesty. The hotel employees did a perfect job helping me find it. Easy to communicate and each of them was interested to help me.
I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends who will go to Crete and also myself will come back with my family again.

Great experience, Friendly and helpful hotel staff. I recomend. 

I will start by saying that this hotel is not 4*, 3* at best. 

The food was always nice for each meal! I was pleased that they done a theme night which was different every evening. I’m not a fussy eater but even the fussiest would be able to eat well here. 
The evening foods ranged from DIY Tacos, to pork belly which was delicious. 
The drinks in the restaurant were ok, though the fizzy drinks are very carbonated and the juices are not real fruit juice. You can pay €3 a glass for a fresh orange juice. it’s a shame the restaurant manager was so grumpy!

The bar is ridiculous. You have to get your small drinks from the terrace bar where they have only 1 bar staff at a time, there was always a very long queue. The terrace bar is up 2 flight of stairs so when chilling by the pool you have to keep getting up and down for a drink. Also limited to 1 drink per guest at all times, and the drinks are very small. 
The inclusive drinks were a bit of a joke, I’ve never seen anything like it. There was a list of cocktails included in your wristband such as purple rain, blue lagoon. But anything nice like a margarita you have to pay €7 each for. It’s also a shame that the local beer is not included in all inclusive and you have to pay €5 for a regular bottle. 
In the evenings, you’ll be lucky to get 3 drinks before they stop the all inclusive at 11pm thanks to the queues. 
They advertise having a “pool bar” which is not always open, and you have to pay for all drinks from here! 

On check in we were told there’s a fancy restaurant on site that you can prebook at and have your first drinks free and 15% off the bill. 
We did go here and the food was nice, atmosphere was nice too. Though we didn’t get a free drink, was told it’s not their “policy”. A 2 course meal for two with 2 cocktails and 1 soft drink total was around €130. 

There is a mini market by the pool where you can buy bottled water, snacks etc. This was convenient to have, but pricey and they would shut in the evenings. 

We booked having seen reviews and understood that the beaches are down a hill. They’re not just down a hill, you also have to walk on the side of windy roads. 
For us it wasn’t a problem as a younger fit couple, but it was tiring! Both beaches nearby were very nice and good for snorkelling. 

The older lady on reception, Irene, was extremely rude. If you’re British or young then don’t expect her to speak to you, she only likes older couples or those from anywhere other than the UK. She would serve other people despite us waiting longer, no please/thank you, no smile, stand there chatting on the phone while looking you up and down… yet others come and it’s “kalimera kalimera my friend”. We witnessed her being rude to other British guests too. 
The man on reception at night was very pleasant and helpful. 

The pool is ok - very cold! Not enough beds for all the guests. Most beds gone by 8am and half the beds then weren’t in use until around midday. 

Rooms are VERY basic. We were in room 610 which is in staff quarters block! One day we were told “you can’t go there it’s for staff” when it was our room. 
The room had 1 double bed and 1 single. The double bed only had single sheets. Bath towels very small. Old fashion key entry. 
Air con was good and we had a nice size terrace. There is a store room adjoined to this room and there was a knocking from there all night… Didn’t dare approach reception to tell them as they wouldn’t care. 

The entertainment guy was very nice and friendly. 

Taxi from airport to hotel was €45, maybe 20 minutes. 

If your mobility is not great or you depend on a walking aid, this is NOT the hotel for you. Nothing is on the same floor and stairs everywhere. 

Would we come back? No.

Below Average 

The pillows were the best, the view was amazing and the staff was fabulous.
First time in Crete and we will come back, maybe, in few years, because we will go in every year for two times a year in a new country. 
The experience was amazing and the staf very polite and helpfully.

The best hotel

More than just service! Breathtaking views of the sea and beautiful rooms. For breakfast, lunch, etc. there are two large terraces with direct views of the sea. Those who appreciate the sea view will be fully satisfied here. The hotel offers many day trips made by professional organizers.

A beautiful holiday with a spectacular view

No effort to speak French. The people at the reception don't know how to say  Bonjour . And they never smile. The hotel is full of stairs. I did my rehabilitation. But it would have been nice to clarify because it's not obvious. There are really stairs to go everywhere in the hotel, even in the room to go to the terrace. The swimming pools aren't heated. It's very difficult to get in. The restaurant side isn't very great either. The food is very nice. I didn't discover the bretois. Very bad. We paid at the restaurant and on the other hand we enjoyed ourselves. The staff still don't speak French, but it's very nice, the French card wasn't really delicious but it wasn't very nice.

Average hotel

Well we all use these social media platforms for useful information, so here goes…all my own opinion remember…

Firstly I will say this hotel is totally ok for a  holiday in Agia Pelagia, Crete. Offers good size clean rooms, plenty of swimming pools, (certain types decided to go venture out for the sunbeds early mornings, sometimes seen after 1/2am). Take your own towels as the ones in the rooms are very small, not much bigger than hand towels. The rooms were cleaned frequently. 
If you like nice views this has some over the sea, but be prepared to walk up and down very steep hillside to get to the nearest beach (Lygeria) or Pelagia seafront. Its definately not 800m also, as stated when booking. More like 2km. It takes a good 25/30 mins at good pace, with stops for breaths. The roads arent great and limited footpaths to follow. 
Agia Pelagia has quite a few shops, bars and sea view tavernas. Nice place but not big.

Secondly the hotel is at very best a 2/3 star. It was very busy during our 10 days. On the night of arrival Sunday 10pm, we were not given the room we paid for, turned out werent even on the booking list! Shock/Horror! Was ready to ring On The Beach. 
The hotel management explained there had been lots of problems recently with English bookings? Why only English? No excuse! It was all very organised during booking and when paying the £2000 to go. 
So we were offered a maisonette room untill 12pm next day. This meant we couldnt unpack etc on arrival as you normall do.
After finding other english people to chat to in the hotel this seemed a normal occurance happening so beware!
We eventually got sorted but gave us a panic and we lost the first late evening and first morning of the holiday with this messing about we endured. Not good. 

There were very few English people in the hotel as it is mainly made up of Polish and German. 
All inclusive food is very similar most days, some of the food we had no idea what it was as some wasnt labelled. Absoloute nothing identified for people with allergies. 
Most days was the same food, for breakfast and evenings. A small fresh cooking area was used for pork, chicken or pizza. 
Amazingly they dont do any greek or themed nights or BBQs during days or nights etc. I was amazed at this! So many other hotels Ive been in Crete do this to give you a feel of the local culture and quisine. Of course that is why we come to Greece.
The big problem with the food is nothing is kept warm after its been cooked its kept in square metal catering tins,  with no heat underneath these tins and therefore is only ever luke warm. By the time you got served up, fetched a drink and sat down food was only luke warm.  Also when picking a table youd often find someone sat in it when you got back to sit down. 
All food should always be piping hot when being served. No excuses or questions asked. 
Areas where food was open (bread and fruit) was not covered to protect from flies etc. I was very surprised at this, for hygene purposes especially. 
However the food was readilly available, some of it was ok, and the chefs kept up with demand. 
The drinks in the daytime were served in paper cups, not what I was expecting either. Only glasses were served in the evenings. However a good choice of drinks available, some nice cocktails and local beer. Mythos, Desperado and IA beers all extra cost. 4/5 eiros. Good service tho and also kept up with demand very well. 

Have to give credit where its due to “Fabio” the main entertainer at the hotel. He worked his socks off by the pools and in the evenings. Really nice guy with plenty of time to make friends. Well done “Fabio”. I Hope he remembers us from winning the bingo one evening, we won all 3 lines on one ticket. Lots of prizes. It Was a great night. Thanks for your friendship. 

Overall this hotel is Ok for a nice holiday, but dont expect too much, and expect to walk up and down steep hills to see the sights. There is a free bus at varied times if needed. Also to Heraklion for a fee of 10 euros each person. 
We chose to go out later some evenings to try different authentic greek style food in Agia Pelagia. Octopus, Souvlakia, Gyros etc. Afterall this is why we come to Greece!

We expected more with regards to authentic Greek food and themed times, around the Greek culture, but It caters more for other cultures instead. 
Sadly we wont return to this hotel in the future as we feel so much more is on offer around Greek culture. 
Crete is a lovely place to Holiday, but dont get drawn into thinking All Inclusive is the way after covid times etc. 
In my opinion It is still cheap enough to eat out and about, with a Bed & Breakfast only type holiday. Saves money and theres so much more to offer out and about.
