A beautiful hotel, with friendly people, excellent for a relaxing weekend. We would definitely recommend it as a winter or summer destination. I also loved the decoration. Moreover, the breakfast was amazing.

Me and my husband spent 5 gorgeous nights in this hotel, from 30 of November untill 5 of December 2016. From the moment we entered the hotel we felt like we were entering a Christmas fairytale house. The unit is located in Krania, a little village in the mountains, and it feets perfectly with the enviorment since it is all built of wood and stone. We staied in room no.8. As you will see from the pictures it was just awesome, romantic, with fireplace and candles. The bathroom is perfectly sized, with shower cabin and all the other things you may need (hairdryer, shampoo, showergel, tooth brush). During our stay, the cleaning of the room was made every day so you can imagine that the whole place was spotless clean. In fact I was surprised that everything was so very clean (including the windows) and smelt very very nice. As for the restaurant...is just perfect. You can have some nice dinner and a very fine glass of wine (with complimentary snacks - cheese and salami - from the owner) at resonable price. The owners, husband and wife, are very nice people, very happy to have a chat with you and very helpfull. We will definitely return to La Moara, most probably next year on our way to the ioanian islands. Don't hesitate to stay in this hotel...you will not regret it...You just take a look at the pictures I attached to convince yourself that this review is simply the truth. 

Fairytail house sensation - just awesome

Let me start by saying that this is very neat and modern establishment in the mountain part of Greece, perfect for a weekend excursion with many outdoor activities available. The rooms are clean and very cozy, with screens for the windows and heat panels that ensure you stay warm but make sure you ask for a fireplace as well in order to enjoy a more romantic escape. 
We visited with 2 other couples and their babies and we booked 3 rooms the traditional Greek way, just by making a phone call and wiring a small deposit, no contracts or a small print. 
During the first night my friend who also had his baby with him had to ask for some help from the personnel since when they tried to start the fireplace there was a bat trapped in there. Against our persistent demands for a room change, the lady that came to assist said "no big deal" and tried to kill it the redneck way, by pouring lots of alcohol on the fire :-/ 
We left the room in order to get some appetizers with wine and left the baby alone in there to sleep. Half an hour later when my friend when back to double check she found another bat hanging up in the curtains. We kept asking for a room change to no avail while the personnel acted like this was something totally normal and expected since we were in the country while we were accused of overreacting. Poor bat was also killed but you can imagine how the rest of the night went. 
Unfortunately, that wasn't the only surprise as, after having dinner at another restaurant in the area I was hit with food poisoning due to wild mushrooms after the first night and me and my wife have to rush to the hospital located some 45 minutes away. Now, you might ask why I mention that since it has nothing to do with La Moara. Well, the reason is that although we had a booking for a couple nights I had to check out earlier as after spending the night at the hospital I felt like going home. 
Sadly, the personnel showed no understanding and demanded the full amount for both nights although I technically didn't sleep either of them. I asked to obviously pay the first night but waive the cost of the second night or even split the loss for it but there was a clear lack of communication as the personnel encouraged us to go ahead and sue them if we had any complains!! 
My friends paid la Moara for both nights while I called the next day and asked to have a conversation with the manger of the hotel. I explained to him that I had to spend the night at the hospital and this was a totally unforeseen situation that should have allowed me to get out of my commitment to pay for both 2 nights at their establishment. His answer was very disappointing as he showed no remorse, advised me to check the hotel's policy at booking.com (although our reservation was not made through booking.com) and hang up the phone to me since he said he was too busy!
I therefore got a copy of that policy that clearly states that in the event of a cancelation the customer still has to pay 70% of the quote. When I called back and explained that to the manager he again said "go ahead and sue me".
No hard feelings and clearly my pocket wasn't that harmed as we are talking about 50€ but I wanted to take the time and write this review since I feel obligated to let future customers know that "whatever shines ain't always gold".
I really hope that this review reaches the ownership of the hotel and that the manager of the establishment apologizes to me and my wife for his completely rude behavior as this is a great place to visit that shouldn't be managed by individuals who don't understand the essence of customer service.

Charging your clients comes with responsibilities - Poor poor customer service

Nice hotel in Grevana, in a nice area by the river, you can hear the sound of the water from the rooms located close to the river. The rooms are all wood decorated and suites the area around it, some rooms have a fire place and others have a four poster bed. Dinner at the hotel was very good, breakfast was O.K. compare to other hotels in Greece, no vegetables were served. In general we enjoyed our night at this hotel.

Nice hotel in Grevana

We were 4 couples and one child touring the area, and stayed at the hotel for 1 night. The hotel theme is that of natural wood - with carved wood benches outside. We had supper and breakfast here. Both were very generous and tasty. We asked to move outside to the balcony for breakfast - even though a table had been set out for us inside - and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The hotel has a small swimming pool and a stream running below the hotel. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
