Lovely hotel, high spec rooms, comfortable beds and great breakfast. 
Worth every penny. 
We would definitely stay here again.
The outdoor courtyard and hot tub provide a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the port area

Great hotel

May 2024 – Booked for 1 night, stayed for 3

We booked a junior suite at this hotel and we were not disappointed. Very clean and freshened up daily. The room had a living area with fridge, decent bathroom and mezzanine bedroom, very tastefully decorated. The staff made a point of cleaning the room while we were at breakfast, which was smart. 

Each day, we were provided with a bottle of water.  The breakfast was excellent. Instead of putting out all of the food at once, it was laid out and restocked as needed.  Everything was fresh and tasty.  The orange juice was concentrate, which surprised me, but I found it to be the norm in Greece.  This was self-service in a beautiful outdoor terrace area. 

The only thing lacking was a bar/café in the hotel, however, there were many of these close by.

We were so smitten by Hydra and so comfortable in this hotel, that we increased our stay to 3 nights. Very friendly staff – we would definitely stay here on our next visit to Hydra.
Hydra is very peaceful, no cars, bikes etc., , very, very beautiful.

Beautiful, well run Hotel

We were traveling Europe for six weeks and initially had not planned to go to Hydra. However, after several of our friends raved about it we decided to go.
This hotel is just like many reviews described it. Family run with a great staff, great location, and very comfortable rooms. There is a nice breakfast buffet. We quickly got up on the learning curve of turning the hot water circuit breaker on when we were within an hour of needing it and off when we left the room.
We let the donkeys carry bags from the ferry when we arrived…because it was fun and the cobblestone street had a little incline to the hotel. We easily carried our luggage to the ferry when departing. The cobblestones have been worn very smooth over time.
Highly recommend this hotel and island . We found the restaurants very reasonably priced and the whole atmosphere very relaxing for 3 days. Just a very memorable visit!!

Great location and great staff

We (wife, two late teen kids, and me) stayed here last week for four nights. We had two rooms, both of them with balconies. Very laid back, clean and friendly with a price that didn't break the bank (4 x people, 2 x rooms, and 4 x nights for €800, including breakfast). It was our first time on this "vehicle and bike free" island. It was very quiet and a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed, but with some great views. We could have got a mule to take us and our bags to the hotel from the ferry at the port, but it was only ten minutes walking, so it didn't bother us. One point I would make, is that a little printed sheet (in maybe Greek and English) with what was available for breakfast, would save a lot of time (and also some embarrassment for the two helpfully greek ladies serving the tables) I  the morning.  Though I do not mean this as a complaint, but more of a suggestion that they may consider, which could streamline things. It's only a small hotel, but it has a big heart, and we have no hesitation recommending it to other travellers 

A lovely little Gem, with great staff.

Lovely property about 10 mins walk from the port area.  The room was clean & comfortable.  Staff were friendly and professional.  Breakfast was enjoyable in a covered courtyard.  We had hoped for a room with a balcony but had a terrace shared with the neighbouring room so no privacy when sitting/relaxing outside.  But a very nice stay and Hydra is well worth a visit.  

Beautiful stay in Hydra 

We stayed 3 nights at the Angelica. Our room was very clean and super comfortable and the bed was comfy. Location was perfect, very quiet and easy to walk to the harbor and back. We found it close enough that we did not need to hire a donkey to bring us to the hotel. Staff were helpful (especially Andreas!) and fun to talk with and breakfast was good.  We are thinking of coming back to Hydra and will definitely stay here again.

Very nicely appointed room with balcony

Cons:
The hot tub was out of order
The mattress was too hard for me but I realise this is personal preference
The vegetarian/vegan option at breakfast is limited

Very nice welcome

Angelica Hotel was incredible!  Highly, highly recommend.  Such a great place and a wonderful breakfast each day.  The room was attended to right away and the host (Andreas) was really friendly and always there for us with tips and conversation.  Bed was really comfortable with great pillows and SUPER CLEAN.  It was like staying with family.  We will definitely be back as we loved the island of Hydra and we will be staying only at the Angelica Hotel.  Thank you, Andreas, and thank you Angelica Hotel for a great stay!

Incredible Experience at Hotel Angelica!

The hotel was very convenient to everything in Hydra. It was clean and the staff friendly and responsive. Great to have a balcony with a nice table and chairs off the room and the breakfast each morning had a nice variety of foods. I would stay here again.

Wonderful location!

The hotel is excellent in many ways: beautifull mansions and rooms, superb employees working and great terrasses plus a very nice whirl pool. Everything you need is here. We travelled a lot allready but this hotel is definitely one of the best we ever had. Because of this and the beautiful island, fantastic restaurants and marvellous beaches, especially St. Nicolao, we without doubt will come back! 
During our stay the hospitality and the service of in particular Evdoxía is outstanding! She is actually thé number one working here. We are sure other guests will say the same. We stayed for 14 days in this wonderful hotel.  Thanks to her everything was and is perfect. She could have been the owner, the manager of the 3 buildings because she did almost everything, knows practically everything and works day and night my husband and I say. This hotel wouldn't be that great without her. It is also said after working for many years as teachers Tourism, Hospitality & Communication at a professional educational college (VISTA college Maastricht).   
Also Claudia and Nisa (we know by name) work very hard and are very friendly. 
We definitely recommend this hotel!!
