An excellent place to stay in Ioannina, small and cosy, with nice lake view.  Its location is great, near the old and new market place, near all the museums and the old citadel, and with many tavernas and bars in the neighborhood. 
Comfortable and nicely furnished rooms. Breakfast in the pleasant internal patio is tasteful, rich and homemade, prepared by the owner MrsThomais, who is  friendly and  very helpful!

A small diamond in Ioannina!

A very friendly, small, family run hotel. Mrs Thomais served herself the delicious local breakfast, full of stories for the local area, Ioannina city itself and the transformation of the old tannery, into this lovely, cottage style, rock and wood-based, hotel. “Alevropita” (meaning flour-pie) is the must eat and the homemade wild-apple marmalade! 
Straight across is the picturesque lake with the history and the myths hidden...

Family Run Traditional and Cozy Hotel

Ioannina is a historic town by the lake. Modest and a bit sleepy. You don't have to expect five-star, big-name, international chain hotels here. Tiny and lovely boutique hotels in the heart of the city is your best choice...
Siarava is one of them. With 6 large rooms, comfy beds, reasonable prices and incredibly delightful breakfast, Siarava offers you a lot more than you had wished for...
Above all, warm hospitality of the owners (the date of the building goes back to 1870s, to the time of their grandfathers) is hard to describe. They're always there to care you, answer your questions and give nice tips to make you enjoy Ioannina.

More than you wish

Very enjoyable short stay. Room large and comfortable with a view on the 1st floor. Room supposedly with a lake view on 2nd floor at same price smaller and a view if standing with your head out. Parking available but really on the street.  Good service, excellent breakfast. Good wifi. All in all happy with the stay and definately recommend it. Just know about the diff and what to expect.

Pleasant and comfortable

This is a place that should be an example for many other similar exercises: I was impressed by the cleanliness, fresh and fragrant sheets, no trace of dust (circumstance for nothing discounted). Professional but gentle welcome, strategic location, excellent price-quality ratio and a special note for breakfast: products of absolute quality that I will hardly forget, including marmalades with genuine and perfect flavor, as well as eggs, bread, cake and fruit.

A wonderful surprise.

Fantastic location, quiet, clean, helpful, I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Close to all attractive sights and to the restaurants , cafes and bars. The owners are very friendly. It's a small sweet place

Sweet place

Stayed for one night in this hotel and enjoyed it very much.
The location enables you to walk to the old city and tour it.
The owner and her son were very helpful in every way,from recommending places in 
  Ioanina and the surrounding area to assist in solving my computer problem.
Breakfast is nice and served in a cozy patio.

Great place in a great location

I stayed right on the lake, near the area of local taverns, street food-cafes. We were in 3 (with a 2-year-old child) double bed we were comfortable, bathroom with shower in the middle. The owner of the hotel called us to ask if we wanted the camping bed for the baby. Fantastic and abundant breakfast! Various types of coffee, eggshells, jams, chamber, orange juice, toast. If I had to return, I would definitely choose it: first for the location, according to the owner, it is available, generous and accommodating! I highly recommend it.

It's excellent.

We couldn't have made a better start into 2017 than visit this boutique hotel! Its location is perfect, facing the beautiful Lake of Ioannina and a walking distance from the historic Castle and the Old Town. We enjoyed the fact that it is a small, family-owned hotel, as it was anything BUT impersonal. The hosts were so hospitable and friendly, taking the extra mile to do anything to please us: welcome us with treats every time we walked in from our tours around the city, inform us about the area and its history, offer maps etc. We enjoyed delicious and lavish home-made breakfast each morning. Our room was very warm and cosy and, even though we were a family of 4, it was well-appointed so we didn't feel 'congested'. Should also comment it was immaculately clean every day! Mrs. Thomais and Mr. Solon, we would like to thank you for your excellent hospitality and look forward to coming back again! :-)))

Excellent choice!

On our cycling trip through Europe, we made a three-day stop in Ioannina. We were warmly received at the very well-located Hotel Siarava. The host couple was extremely helpful, answered our questions and gave us numerous tips. At the hotel we felt comfortable around. The excellent, rich breakfast did its part.
