We spent one night in this hotel on our way to Thessaloníki. We were revived so warmly at reception. The lovely young man gave us information on what to do in the city and showed us a map. He helped us to our rooms and gave us a free upgrade. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We liked the hotel and Ioannina so much that we booked in for another night after our trip to Thessaloníki. On our return the same lovely man presented us with a souvenir of the city which was so kind and thoughtful. We were given older room but they were still clean and comfortable. A very pleasant stay.

Fantastic Hotel

Great central location, very satisfying and clean room. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Free parking and free WiFi, overall satisfied with everything. Would stay here again A+

Hotel Stay

Positive: great, central location, good & free wifi, pleasant reception staff, clean bedding & towels. Negative: My room looked out into the interior duct of the building. Unfortunately, pigeons have made that space their hangout and the window sill of both the bedroom and the bathroom were covered with pigeon poo. I don't have anything against pigeons per se, but they are dirty birds and if it is known that the room will be occupied (and I had a reservation), that absolutely should have been cleaned! Cracked AC/heat unit (with a pigeon feather!), moldy grout around around the tiles in the shower, toilet flushed with very little pressure (don't want to go into detail here...), and the wood cabinets in the bathroom were cracked from the moisture. The water in the shower was running rusty-brown for the first 5 minutes. The overnight stay was only 35 euro, but I've I had much better value for similar prices. The problems I listed were all highly preventable with some attention to detail.

Good, central location but overall disappointing experience

Excellent hotel. I stayed there one night, arrived late and get really good comfortable room for normal price. At front desk men who works was really helpful, nice and friendly. Bed was really good, wifi is free and works perfectly. Check out was in 12.30pm. Parking is free front of hotel. Im really satisfied with everything 

Excellent hotel

located just beside main road of town, close to central park, where are lots of shops and restaurants. we had a room up to the first floor, with tv, free wi fi, a fridge (extra charge).
 Rooms condition was good enough, with daily cleaning and clean sheets and towels.
Beside hotel reception is a breakfast lounge, and near by is a car park.
A good hotel, ideal choice to see ioannina's town .

weekend in ioanina

We stayed at Astoria hotel for 2 nights during September 2013 and i have to say that we had a great accommodation. The hotel has an excellent location, right in the center of Ioannina, so all of the shops, cafes, restaurants etc was only a 10 minute walk away from us. The stuff was friendly and willing to help us, and no problems were created. However, i must emphasize the tiny elevator, and the bad situation of the bathroom as the water from the bathroom could't be hold by the curtain. Despite the waters from the bathroom it was very clean, the rooms were in a good condition, the breakfast was delicious and no problems occurred with the wi-fi!

Good, but could be better

Very simple rooms with clean sheets but horrible bathrooms. The curtain couldn't stop the water from flooding the bathroom and we had to use the towels to remove the water. Our room had a nice fridge to keep our water and beer cold. The hotel is located at a very good location.
