This was a very disappointing stop on our otherwise wonderful tour of Northern Greece. The hotel is rated at 4* but is 3* at best and offers very poor value for money. 
Although a 5 minute walk to the start of old town the street itself is very run down with half the shops closed and covered in graffiti. The nearest place to get breakfast is at least 5 minutes walk away and most don’t open till 11 which is too late! As the hotel doesn’t do breakfast this is not a good start to the day. 
There is no staff on site at night so I had to go down twice after 1am and ask noisy residents to keep quiet.
The ‘superior’ room was basic with a noisy fridge which I had to unplug, and a kettle I had to plug through a hole in the cheap wardrobe. The shower was fine but not the hydro massage shower stated in the booking. 
The hotel did discount the price after I raised these concerns but they really do need to up their game to charge the premium rate they are charging. I rarely write reviews but feel obliged to write this one to make future travellers aware. Of the 5 hotels we stayed in over last 10 days this was the worst by a country mile.

Not a 4* hotel

A weekend trip.

Yesterday morning, I called the hotel to confirm pets are allowed, as described. The reception replied that they have to consult with the owner since there has been a renovation. I am still waiting for a phone call. 
In addition, when I asked whether there is a parking space at the premises for two/three motorcycles, a nearby private parking was mentioned. I tried to elaborate on the information and it was suggested that our motorcycles may use the hotel's parking as long as they don't occupy a car's space. Please people, be precise, it will save time for us all.

What about bikers and pets?

The hotel is tucked away to the side of a one way street.  There's a long entrance into the courtyard where all the rooms are off of.  They were pleasant in the reception and were ready for us.  They spoke English well and were helpful in explaining where some good restaurants were and how to find the attractions of the city.  The location is good:  close to the castle, lake and several other attractions.  We were able to walk there from the bus station as well.  The breakfast that was offered was excellent with a good assortment of food including eggs, fruit, buns (with chocolate in them), coffee and other choices.  The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.  We had no trouble with noisy neighbors as everyone was very respectufl of the courtyard and noise.

Clean and quiet hotel

Surrounding the bus station and the gates of the old town, with a very pleasant staff, stylish rooms, and quite quiet, I definitely recommend it, the rooms are Ottoman style.

On the recommendation of our tour guide, Epirus Daytours, we booked for our stay to visit Zagori and Meteora. Great relaxing base for our journeys. Wonderful room great service. Dina at the front desk is a great person who really wants to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. Her good humor is very contageous. Had a wonderful time.

Unique beautiful hotel

Great treatment since arrival, they gave me the room in advance. At the back - the parking is convenient (Sina 5). Do not set the navigator with the hotel address, the parking is around the corner, but one direction dictates round. - WIFI functional - good breakfast - first floor room with balcony exposed north: perfect

Comfortable base for visiting Ioannina

Very nice hotel decorated with a lot of love to the details. Nice inner courtyard  for a late beer or breakfast. Centrally located but quiet. Free parking lot very close. Generous breakfast buffet. We faced some problems with internet, but probably it was the provider

Lovely quiet hotel

Stayed for 1 night in Politia Hotel in the centre of Ionnina.5 minutes away from the main attraction from the lake and from all resturants and bars.Welcomed by friendly staff with excellent room with a balcony.Breakfast was good and parking was parallel to the hotel.Highly recommended

visit from malta

Stayed in one of the ground floor rooms in the courtyard with individual outdoor seating. Staff were polite and friendly and good breakfast buffet. A short 5 minute walk from the bars and 10 minutes from the lake. Private car park in parallel road.
