I chose this guesthouse because of its proximity to the main entrance to the Castle. It was a great choice. The house belonged to the owner's grandmother. It has been carefully and beautifully restored. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with an historic and rustic look. A small garden with a historic well greet you as you enter. The breakfast is well worth it. I'll stay here next time I'm in Ioannina - I'm sold on it

A comfortable guesthouse, close to everything

For some peculiar reason, this accommodation is listed as pet friendly. Well, it is not, since dogs are not allowed at the premises. Thankfully, I checked today, before making a reservation. All visitors should check first with hotels/b&bs etc. in Greece

we were 4 friends in 4 rooms stayed for 3 nights. wonderful stay. the place and the rooms keep an old aura. beds are so comfortable, cotton duvet. clean rooms.
we got a parking permission to leave in the car so we stayed within the walls of the old town. we asked to add vegetables to the breakfast & we got it. great breakfast. great personal, friendly service. highly recommend.

the best

NO novise from the town ! Slept god. Difficult to locate. GOoglemap will hjelp You but You are not supportere to drive inside the castlewalls . Walk in and Get a permit from the flere in the guesthouse.

The hotel is in the inner of the castle walls.  It is very clean & and quiet.  The ladies at the reception are very kind and smiley.  The breakfast was excellent.  Fresh made jams, honey, cheese and nice coffee.  Very good choice for overnight at Ioannina.

When I went to Ioannina with my husband, I couldn't imagine finding a place so nice, so convenient in the old town.

In another age

Nice friendly and very clean guest house . It's inside the castle (old town ) so you can get a feeling how life was 200 years ago . Breakfast is also nice with special local food . You can certainly try it

Taste of local flavor 

The guesthouse is clean, in the central part of the old town, very close to the lake but... We made the arrangement trough a phone-call, and we never expected to be PLAYED. We asked and agreed for a room for four, two being my 4 and 9 years old children. They didn't have appropriate rooms at that moment so we agreed to take a smaller room, one bed would be a portable extra-bed, and that the small child would sleep with us on the double-bed, and that we would get a certain discount compared to the prices we saw on the net. They assured us that the double-bed was "extra wide".
When we came there the "extra wide" bed was 140-150cm wide. The breakfast was very poor, "orange juice" was a supermarket brick bestseller, by the looks of salami (we never tried it) one could understand it was the lowest quality, cut probably a day or two before, "boiled" eggs were cold, although we came to the breakfast as early as possible, they were surely boiled days earlier etc.. 
The best thing expected us on our check-out: we were charged full "internet-Booking price" and were never given a receipt!!! The manager (a woman) was very cool in explaining how the worker made a mistake, how her employees never give discounts, so we are not taking any. The culmination point was when she explained us that we got the "triple bedroom so why the discount?" and telling us what the dimensions of a standard and an extra wide double-bed are.
To close the story: my strong advice would be to avoid this place, one can find much better places in Ioannina for similar money, we were stranded and took the decision in the last minute. Lousy breakfast, difficulties in finding a place to park a car and last bot not least the SCAMMY manager.

Although the suitcase has to be pulled a few meters from the parking lot, the hotel is compensated for by its location in the middle of the Ottoman-style old town. It is largely car-free and therefore quiet. To the sights of Ioannina it is just as much a cat's eye as the student-style nightlife of the city. The rooms are spacious, very clean and stylishly furnished. In the idyllic interior you can start the day with a good breakfast.

Ideal location

Nice rooms, good sleeping comfort, simple but fresh breakfast, friendly staff, very good location, very clean, a small flaw was that we heard in our room very loudly the air conditioners that were placed in the courtyard...but I have to say that we chose this room because it was on the ground floor, we had a lot of motorcycle luggage and didn't want to go up stairs, we had a different offer before.
