Good Points - The pool and beds around the pool were amazing. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very peaceful. We liked that we were picked up and dropped off at the port. The hosts welcomed us with a bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday which was very thoughtful.

Bad Points Room 7 - The decor was very dated. Not enough cutlery or crockery for 2 people. We had to ask for a cereal bowl, a dessert spoon, teaspoon, blanket/coverlet. The one dessert spoon in the room had a broken handle. The glasses were a mixture of mainly small glasses. The bed/mattress was very uncomfortable and well past its use. You rolled into middle of mattress when turning over, the springs were noisy. The fridge appeared faulty and was frozen right through the back panel and solid in the small freezer section. The Airconditioning unit was very noisy and in our opinion needed regassing. We needed batteries to work the remote of aircon/tv. There was a yapping dog in the room behind us when it clearly states no pets allowed. The nearest mini market was poorly stocked and very expensive. We had to take a bus into IOS Town to buy basics (water, milk, etc) as soon as we arrived. The walk from the Ostria Village to the beach, mini market, restaurants was hard going in the heat. It would have been useful to have a map of the island and a bus timetable in the room.  Host preferred serving and talking to the locals.  They even offered coffee and water free of charge to them and completely ignored us and a German couple!!

Disappointing

We booked via booking a big studio on two floors that from the pics looked new, nice and clean, with a little jacuzzi as bathtub, paid one month in advance, to then end up in an old studio, small, one floor and with embarrassing bathtub, dirty, no shower and where not even my 6 years old daughter can fit. When I complained with the host, she said the studio I have booked and bought on booking was for 5 and not 4 as we were! Incredible as if I have to occupy all the bad available, as if I did not paid for that bigger apartment. Regarding to the bathtub dirty she said it was a problem amid the current seasons so there was nothing to do at the moment then keeping it dirty!  This is a con. You cannot advert something, sell it and then give something completely different! She refuses to booking to give the money back, she put again for the room on sale in booking using the same pics of the nice studio and resold it in one day, obtaining the double amount. Sad story, we had to find a new accommodation and pay for it. So unfair

Amazing! This place was so good. The people running it were so friendly and happy to accommodate any needs. They offered free coffee, water & pick up from the port. The room was super clean and spacious. Great value for money. The pool was super nice and clean.

Great Place

Despite being a short walk from Mylopotas, the busiest beach in Ios, the Austria village is a relaxing and peaceful place, where you can only feel the wind and the clinging of the birds. The swimming pool is beautiful and panoramic, our studio, in an independent cottage, was a little small but still well equipped, with a large shaded terrace. Modern cooking corner and well provided, even though we only used it for breakfast. Everything very clean and kept with care. You can reach Mylopotas beach in just 10 minutes on foot, where the buses to the choir and port pass, and where there are also numerous locals for dinner, but absolutely recommend renting a hotel to visit the incredibly quiet beaches of Ios, and also an incredibly quiet car park in August!

What peace!

My girlfriend and I found ourselves immersed in a paradise in the Aegean Sea. The property deserves 10 stars. The owner POPPY, together with her husband are exquisite people, do not miss the opportunity to greet and welcome you whenever you point the square in their village.

A dream vacation

Small paradise in IOS. Small independent room, well equipped apartment for lunch and breakfast. Pleasant and spacious bathroom Beautiful sea view from the room. Pool at the top with a superb view Patron more than nice. Cafes on offer, transfer from the port to the hotel gracefully....

I've been going there for several years now when I'm on iOS, and I've brought all my best friends with me.

A magical place.

The place is very nice, 5 minutes from the Mylopotas beach.Recommended for families because they have small private cabins, isolated from each other.You can see that they are still new, tastefully furnished, maybe I would have put a table with chairs instead of a low table, and we found the bed on the wall uncomfortable, but definitely functional as an apartment.

Nice place, but with little heat.

We recommend it!!!! Real relaxation 5 minutes from the bustling milophotas. Clean apartments with daily change of clothes, and it's not new!!! very nice owners!! fabulous swimming pool with beautiful views. The apartments have everything: bleachers, phon, air conditioning etc.

What a paradise!

For our fifth time in Greece (me, my husband and our 4-year-old child) we chose the formula that gave us the most freedom of all: the studio. And the choice turned out to be very precise especially because Austria Village gave us the opportunity to fulfill our dream of having a small house in the style of a cycladic for all of us. The village consists of a dozen buildings gathered around a beautiful local pool and very comfortable for the last dip back from the beaches. Arriving on time at the port of Ios, we may have taken advantage of the free tourist transfer service (just to check Austria in), to reach the comfort of our own home despite the nearby shade (10 minutes walk away) to the very high quality of the beach of Míchotas with the most beautiful balcony of all.
