Had a wonderful stay at an apartment in beautiful Renatas Villas in June 2023 with breath taking views from my terrace and while swimming in there infinity swimming pool looking down on the town as the property is high up above in the hills and across towards the mountains. Niki the owner is very friendly and helpful and anything I needed she was there to help.

A few reviews on here make out unprofessional & building site from few years ago, I'm pleased to say all work is about complete to a very high standard, the apartment was very spacious, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen, I had ground floor apartment, very nice view from my terrace but I would advise if possible to request 1st floor apartment as view from there balcony must be amazing. Plenty of outdoor space, there is a barbecue, swimming pool is beautiful & much bigger than looks in photos, the property even has its own chapel and saints day. 

Although many have said it is a essential I did not have a car, if you are young, fit and a planner like me, you can do withour it is only 15-20 minute walk to bus station & 25-30 minute to harbour all uphill back  With a bit of planning in high season with bus & ferries times, you can get to most of the beautiful places of the island, just the airport area beaches may be difficult to get to.

The only slight negative is the air con is only in living room, although I did not have a problem cooling my bedroom down, maybe if it had been warmer at night, it may have been more difficult  I hope in the future air con can be installed in bedroom to make the place even better.

Wonderful Stay at Renatas Villas

We stay in Renata's Villas for 6 nights. The accommodation is spacious, we have a bedroom with balcony and view to the bay of Pigadia. Wonderful view especially in the morning and in the early evening. The kitchen is quite big for 2 adults. Accessories could be more diverse (e.g. wine opener or sharp knife), but personnel was very helpful and brought us if we need something. The wifi worked perfectly. We were accepted by Niki, who is extremely professional, especially in these covid times. She also showed us also the mobile phone application for Karpathos which is very useful. There is also a wonderful new swimming pool with a terrace and a perfect view of the bay. Some things are still under construction, but I think that everything will be finished by the next season.  Everything is extremely clean. The surroundings are very tranquil. Also, the whole personnel is very professional. We also have a special room for our luggage and bathroom, since we have a flight to Athens late in the vevning. Pigadia is exactly 1,2 km, you need about 20 minutes on foot. The first market with vegetables and fruits is 560m. The big market is located in downtown Pigadia. The problem is only that Renata's Villas is located on the hill so you need a car. In any way, you need a car if you want to see this beautiful island (Apella beach, Kato Lefkas, Olympos and many villages inside of the island). We rent a car from Superbikes Rent a car and deliver the car directly to the hotel. In any case, you need a car with min. 1250 ccm, because the island is very hilly. The gasoline prices were 1,92 Euros per liter. In any case, if visit Karpathos again we will stay again in Renata's Villas.

Unforgettable view of the bay

We stay heare for a week.The Place is lokated just out side the center of pagadia at a uniq point of view. Every apartment have it space and its very big and klean. The hospitalety is familly and very usfule. Reni the huner happy to help and the place full with nice hidden places to see

Great place to stay at ksrpatos

It's a bit of an odd setup as there is nobody based on the premises so checking in and out meant quite a few phone calls between us and Anna Maria who was looking after us, but we made it in the end. 

We were in room 3, which is upstairs. The staircase is internal so you get a great sense of space. There is a bedroom and a separate open plan living room with kitchen and all the required facilities for a long stay. Sadly we were only there for three nights. The most impressive feature of the room is its full height windows in the living room and the panoramic view of Pigadia town and beach. We also met the cleaner, who is very chatty and nice and who normally comes in every other day to clean and change bedsheets and towels.

There is a mini market with fresh fruit at the bottom of the narrow road that leads up to the hotel and there is a large super market up the road and in Pigadia town, both of which are just a few minutes drive with easy parking. I wouldn't recommend the hotel without a car. Obviously there is no breakfast, but one can get anything and store in the fridge overnight and heat in the oven if required the next morning. The port has a nice promenade and quite a few tavernas and bars. However I would recommend various other tavernas and beaches within a half hour drivimg radius.

Fantastic view, fair price, large room

The place is very nice and quite, conveniently located a short drive from Karpathos town. 
The rooms are spacious and daily cleaned, Nikki is very friendly, kind and helpful with lots of tips and easily reachable in case you need anything.
I recommend this place when you come and visit Karpathos. 

Lovely quite place

This review focuses on the fact that it is not enough to have a nice house to spend a nice holiday. In this case I report an experience where I am the agency and I have booked for my clients paying for them. Customers initially found the house satisfactory (even if too expensive, in the center are much cheaper solutions), but then the holiday was ruined by the owners who started to storm them by phone asking for double payments, showing confidential documents and repeating that the next time they should have contacted them directly in order to have a lower price and avoid paying taxes. Moreover, the customers found the owners always around, who entered the rented house without reason.
The location is too isolated and the price too high, especially if you then live an experience of this kind.

NICE PLACE BUT BADLY MANAGED

My eleventh accommodation in Greece, so we have a comparison. Unfortunately, great disappointment from this accommodation. Photos on the web do not really match reality. I asked for a suite with a balcony and we only had the exit to a shared terrace where there was never privacy, the neighbors shouted. In addition, plastic inconvenient chairs! In the bathroom under the  sink ants nest. After three days when I asked for a cleanup, it was only tidy, but occasionally some insects appeared in the bedroom. The bedroom is so small that there is only 1 bedside table, 1 lamp and 1 electricity does not work, so if you want to charge a mobille or an e-book, it's a problem. The pillows are stiff and hard, very uncomfortable. Towels are changed only once in 3 days - not understandable at this price! Also the bathroom is also very small and no toiletries - just a small soap. The fridge is very noisy and night disturbed despite the closed door. Every morning we woke up when the cleaning stuff made noise with the tools. And early in the morning - forget about sleeping. When we waited to use the morning coffee on the wake, there were already folded towels, or a broom and mop for wiping! We did not experience this in 2 ** accommodation !!!
The building is not soundproof and every sound and step from the top floor is very heard on the ground floor. Unfortunately I never slept. This has never happened in Greece and not at this price! The price absolutely does not match the quality. Everything is neglected, nets in windows is tattered , no cleaning outside and in the neighborhood, so dust and sand are still in the apartment.
The location is 2 km from the harbor in the wrong direction and too steep to the hill, but we were counting on it and we expected that we would be surprised by the nice accommodation for this disadvantage. It was just the opposite!
We absolutely do not understand the evaluation and previous reviews, we would never have stayed here. If you want to, just ask the top floor!
