The cafeteria with snack bar is absulutely perfect. The lady in charge is totaly professional and kind! Daily fresh food. Tasty fruit packed in the fridge. You Can also have breakfast or snack direct in bistro🙂 Full recomendation!!👍🙂

I have been to Greece many times but it was my first time in Karpathos and I searched for a small place to stay. Esperida was perfect for me and my family. It has a wonderful restaurant with fresh cooking daily. The rooms are always clean and we had a nice little kitchenette that we could prepare some food to bring to the beach and snacks for kids. There is a mini-market across the street and several beaches close by. Some friends of ours stayed at a really large hotel nearby (paid around 3x the price) and it was a very different experience - busy, loud, expensive food, etc. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something smaller and quieter.

Exactly the kind of place I love to stay in

I have been to Greece (many places) 5 times in the last 20 years, and this hotel ranks among the top. It is exactly what I love about island life in Greece. The room was clean and comfortable but not pretentious. We had lots of hot water and a little kitchenette with a local bottle of wine. It was cleaned every day. The air conditioning was adequate and not bone chilling while lying in bed. They provided very nice laundry services. All my underwear was folded very nicely in a new style that I have since learned. Breakfast was tasty - I had yogurt with delicious homemade accoutrements every morning, but sometimes there was homemade halva or tiropitakia. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. She had a nice book of local karpathian beaches that informed our travels. She recommended the spots to visit, the places the rent cars, the ways to do the things. Like most small business in Greece, they were great with kids. This is also the site of the best restaurant in amoopi (a locally accepted fact). We had loads of options but ate here 3 times, and I will tell you we like to spread our custom around. You know us.

ho passato due settimane a karpathos per  lavoro e vacanza ho girato parecchie taverne e posso dire senza alcun dubbio che l'Experisa è una buona ottima taverna sia nella pulizia e nel mangiare inanzituttto la cordialità e la gentilezza dei propietari e del personale sempre pronti a risolvere tutti i problemi il mangiare dalle svariate verdure  alle classiche insalte greche al pesce fresco e per finire ai dolci (lukumades)ottime palline di farina con miele e cannella una vera bomba prolemi della lingua Italiana nessuno lo parlano bene e lo capiscono qualità e prezzo sono ottimi è consigliabile                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             I spent two weeks at karpathos for business and leisure I shot several taverns and I can say without any doubt that the Experisa is a good taverna is excellent in cleaning and eating inanzituttto the friendliness and kindness of the owners and staff always ready to solve any problems from eating a variety of vegetables to the classic Greek insalte to fresh fish and finally to desserts (lukumades) great balls of flour with honey and cinnamon a real bomb goes wrong no one will speak the Italian language well and understand quality and price are excellent is recommended

un ottima taverna

We were in karpathos in the beginning of May 2012,we stayed in Pigadia but found this taverna in ammopi and we are very glad we did...the food was very very good and the prices very cheap..the food was so good we drove every night to Ammopi to eat in Esperida.we recommend the beef and goat stifado...! The best we tried ever!

Fantastic food!

Not so new hotel, but some rooms are refurbished and now they are ok. At the pool bar a very nice bartender all the time very open to create nice atmosphere. the poll was ok for the summer time. breakfast ok for the money you pay.

best experience money can buy

Esperida is in a great location - about 15 minutes walk to Ammopi's beaches, but set on a quiet road with lots of space, and with great views of the ubiquitous Karpathian mountains. The capital is only about 10 minutes drive too. 

The room was on the small side, but shared a wonderfully large balcony (excellent for a little stargazing thanks to the almost nonexistent light pollution).

The rooms are above a family run taverna, which was friendly and served good food. All in all a great base from which to explore. 

Tranquil with great views

Very basic but comfortable room, with kitchenette, just a few steps to the famous taverna.
Very friendly and helpful staff and great, tasty breakfast included ( homemade cake, yogurt with honey, hot drinks and orange juice, as well as a very good fresh bread, with honey, jam and butter ).
The taverna as well is a good choice and offers free ice cream and reiki.

Great value for money

Excellent Taverna - welcoming friendly atmosphere, very fine food and service.......highly recommended. Location in the centre of a tiny village, and to walk there from the sea takes a maximum about 10 pleasant minutes, if you are staying elsewhere in Amoopi.
