We stayed with Zoi and Georgios (Irini’s parents) for eight nights. We were welcomed with a friendly chat and water melon in her small but cute garden. The apartments exceeded our expectations with a large balcony with sea view, very silent area, well functioning air conditioner, clean and newly painted flat, very good standard in general. It’s just wonderful to chill on the large terrace after a long day of adventure, looking at the stars and hearing the waves. 

For us it was also great to be a bit outside (20 min walk to absolute city center), which is partly a bit touristy and crowded. 

Zoe is a real star and great heart. On our last day we almost missed our ship to Athens but Zoi was quick to help, made some phone calls for us and gave us a ride to the dock and everything worked out well. If you’re looking for an affordable and hospitable place to stay, with simple but very sufficient and clean standards, plus a great view, this is it!

We couldn’t be happier

We stayed for a week in these studios a few kilometers from the piggy bank in a quiet location outside the harbor of the city. The rooms are simple clean with towels changed every two days, cooking corner and kitchen, all very simple with indoor garden with parking. We didn't enjoy the kitchen simply because there was a bakery a few steps away where you could find everything, Mrs. Zoe very kind always available to give you advice on the beaches based on the wind. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here on my next trip to Karospath

There are previous disfavoring reviews, they're not exaggerated, but if you're looking for a 4-star apartment, maybe you need to be more careful in your search. That said, Irene apartments are a good starting point for visiting Karpathos. Pigadia has a great beach with crystal clear water but maybe curiosity will push you around the island and I assure you there's something to see.

If you can adapt it can be a great base field.

We were very well together. We were in apartment number six, clean, typical Greek, simple but functional. We had a balcony from which we had a beautiful view of the sea and Pigadia and we always had breakfast here. It is 3 minutes by scooter from the port, always in Pigadia but just outside so we were always in a quiet area to sleep and very comfortable in the morning to go for a run along the sea. Zoe, Irene's mother, was very kind to us and even took us to the port when we left. We highly recommend it to those who do not seek luxury but Greek simplicity

Taas kerran olemme saaneet viettää 3 viikon loma syys-lokakuussa Irene´n Studiolla Omistajarouva Zoe on ystävällinen ja vieraanvarainen ja aina valmis auttamaan. Parempaa palvelua ei voi odottaa, kuin hänen. Asuimme kahden huoneen kattohuoneistossa. Huoneistoon kuuluu kylpyhuone ja todella iso terassi/parveke, mistä upea näköala merellepäin ja myös toiseen suuntaan. Kaikki ei ole huipputasoa, mutta kaikki toimi. Kylpyhuone on iso, Kreikan mittakaavassa katsottuna Keittiövälineet kahdelle henkilölle löytyivät ja jos jotain puuttui sai pyynnöstä tarvittavaa. Liinavaatteet ja pyyhkeet vaihdettiin tarpeen mukaan ja siivous näin loppukaudesta kerran viikossa, mikä mielestäni oli ihan riittävä. Huoneistohotellin kahta hienoa Bougainvillea, muita kukkapensaita ja hedelmäpuita voi ihailla parvekkeelta. Vieraanvarainen Zoe jopa tarjosi meille hänen tekemänsä maukasta kotiruokaa silloin tällöin. Suosittelen tätä huoneistohotellia lämpimästi, jos arvostaa ystävällistä palvelua ja kodikas ilmapiiri.

Once again we had the opportunity to spend 3 weeks holiday in September-October in Irene's Apartment. The friendly, hospitable owner, Mrs Zoe was always ready to help us. I can´t think of better service as her. We stayed in a two-room apartment on the top floor. The apartment has a bathroom and a large terrace / balcony, with a magnificent sea view and also view in the other direction. The apartment is not among the best, but everything worked. The bathroom is big, from the Greek scale. Kitchenware for two people were found. Linens and towels was exchanged as needed. Cleaning, this end of the season, once a week, which I think was ok. 2 great bougainvillea tree, other flower bushes and fruit trees can be admired from the balcony. Hospitable Zoe even offered us sometimes tasty home-cooked food, she had cooked. I recommend this apartment warmly, if you appreciate the friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

We stayed in this building for 7 nights in August. The outside space was neglected with broken appliances abandoned under a portico. The apartment, although large, was decidedly squalor. The kitchen was provided with virtually nothing (there was only one knife). The air conditioner was broken and the lampstand lit up pulling a fetus.
