My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Mersini Rooms. Our planned 2 night stay became 4 nights after my husband injured his back. The care and kindness we received from Ana and Kostas and all the staff while my husband recovered was outstanding.  Room 6 is the largest room and can accommodate 4 people (one large bed and 2 bunk beds) and there's a spacious modern bathroom with wonderful walk in shower.  This room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The design and decor is lovely - clean, modern, spacious, with thoughtful extras (coffee machine, safe, window screens,  insect repellent plug).  Room 6 has a patio with umbrella, from which there is a nice view of the port.  We ate all our meals at their taverna and found the food to be of a very high standard. Service was always quick and efficient and excellent value.  From Mersini Taverna it's a steep uphill walk of about 15 minutes to reach the main town of Schinousa.  There's a small beach about a 5 minute walk away. In mid September this small port was tranquil and idyllic and in spite of the difficult circumstances of our stay, we enjoyed being here.  We will definitely return.

Delicious Aegean Food, in front of the Sea!!! Wave sounds, nice and warm people,great service,the best seafood risotto and Sea urchin pasta I ever ate!!! I will definitely visit again!  Highly recommended!!!

Delicious Aegean Food!

One of the best spots in the Kyclades!! Excellent food,fresh fish from their kaiki cooked in the grill, shrimp and octopus carpacio as gourmet dish, and traditional Greek cuisine.
Friendly and efficient all day service. 

Mersini is a lovely place run by Anna and Kostas and their kind family. The rooms are beautiful decorated en spotlessly clean. The nespresso machine is a big bonus. The reception when you arrive is very kind. The place is just a few meters from the port on the water side. The tavern serves delicious food and drinks. We come here every year and hope very much to do so for many years to come. The island itself has a beautiful scenery and a lot of nice bars and restaurants. A secret little gem in the aegean.

Lovely place

Absolutely beautiful rooms - whitewashed bedroom and bathroom with extremely comfortable bed, a/c, fridge, tv, wifi, etc.  It is one of the loveliest rooms I have stayed in in Greece and the first time there has been a Nespresso machine in the room.  Located at the port so it's uphill for the town - but well worth it.

Stunning!

The place is beautiful. Well situated on the seaside next to the port. The room is very nice, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Both the room and the bathroom are white and were cleaned every day.
Although the place is very nice, you have to keep in mind that this is the port. There are some rooms and two tavernas, but no shops of any kind. So if you want to do some shopping or walk somewhere on the island, then first you have to climb up to the Chora.
Also can have importance of the fact that there are only some glasses and a coffee (capsule) machine in the room. There are no other utensils, no tea maker, no plates, not even a knife. So, if you want to prepare your own meal (even a sandwich), you have to have all the needed tools in your luggage.
The front rooms, facing the seaside and the taverna(!), can be noisy when the taverna is busy. And the room above the kitchen is full with the smells from the kitchen, mainly the smell and smoke of oil and grill. Maybe other rooms are not affected that much.
