We stayed in apartment 14 in August 2023, with our 11 year old daughter. It was spacious enough for all of us, beautifully modern and maintained, and well equipped. But Villa Rosa is not really about the apartments.... that view! Wow. 

We had stayed in Trapezaki before so knew how lovely it was, but it was even better than we remembered. The double balcony gave us a panoramic view across Trapezaki Bay and beyond to Zante, it was stunning. The gardens are beautiful, with flowers and fruit trees, filled with butterflies and birds, we loved every second of our stay.

The pool area is as stunning as everything else, spotlessly clean, comfy, high end sunbeds and a lovely swimming pool. The bar has one of the best views on the island, great menu, delicious food and friendly, relaxed service. It's a family run business, and they obviously take great pride in their work, and so they should, It's one of the best holidays in the nicest places that we've ever had. Thank you very much to Joy, your family and your team.

We've already booked for next year and we cannot wait!

Just perfect in every way

4th visit - once with younger children, then when they were older - now with friends. Every time feels special - would never stay anywhere else on the island; and have never stayed anywhere else so exceptionally special. Now holds a special place in my heart. Standards of service, cleanliness, food and welcome are second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and Chara ( Joy ) is the perfect host. It is beautiful and highly recommended- so good I almost want to keep it a secret. Don’t stay anywhere else or you ll be sorry as there is no where better!

The BEST place to stay in Kefalonia

We stayed at villa rosa apartments as a last minute booking, we were staying over the road and after the hospitality and friendliness, from joy and family we decided we needed to stay! This place is impeccable Joy could not have done anymore… amazing every tiny detail has been thought about… highly recommend. If you like staying where this is a family feel this is the place for you… 10/10 on all fronts…

Perfect perfect perfect!!

2 weeks of utter bliss.  Beautiful setting in an idyllic location.  Pool and bar are lovely with super food and cocktails. Everywhere is immaculate and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating.

A lovely visit to Villa Rosa and Joy’s pool bar!!

We first stayed at Villa Rosa in 2018 and knew it was special, and when we had our daughter (Rosa) we had to come back. Joy, Harris and Sophia made our stay just as wonderful as the first time, and were so kind and sweet with ‘mini’ Rosa. The apartment was the perfect size, private but also feeling part of the family at Villa Rosa. 

The views from the Villa Rosa are so beautiful and spending the day relaxing poolside and enjoying the delicious food (especially the Greek and tuna salad!) were so relaxing and enjoyable. 

Joy and her family could not have been more accommodating - going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy, willing to chat with us, give us hints and tips about where to go and playing with and treating our daughter too. 

The paddling pool area of the pool was perfect for our daughter, and she spent hours there splashing and increasing in confidence in the water. 

Villa Rosa is a haven, and we cannot wait to come back. Thank you!

The most wonderful family holiday

This was our long awaited covid delayed holiday and we throughly enjoyed our time here! The apartments are set within beautiful grounds and Joy and her team work really hard to ensure you have the most relaxing time possible. Our apartment was kept spotlessly clean and the whole complex is very well looked after. The pool is gorgeous and there are the most comfortable sun loungers to relax on. There is a snack bar with a good range of food which we used most days for lunch. It also does yummy breakfasts! My son particularly enjoyed the burgers but all of the food was very tasty. The local beach is within walking distance and there are a number of restaurants up the hill. There is also a supermarket close by. Everyone we met was very friendly. We would definitely recommend this place and want to return ourselves in the near future!

A very special place to stay

Looking for a wedding venue to be married in Kefalonia we stumbled across Villa Rosa.  Once we’d seen the pictures we knew we didn’t want to be anywhere else.  Since booking the wedding back in 2020 we’ve visited the Villa a number of times and have never been disappointed, the rooms are spotless, modern and all have spectacular views.
Joy and her team look after you like VIP’s throughout your whole stay, nothing is too much trouble. 
The pool and poolside bistro are like no other, an amazing view from the poolside and the food, drinks and service are just amazing (my husband can highly recommend the Chicken Caesar Burger!) 
We got married in the grounds of the Villa in July this year and all of our guests were blown away by the setting.  We can’t thanks Joy and her team enough for making such a beautiful place to visit.  
We will be back year after year without a doubt.

This place is something special

We have been coming to Villa Rosa for 10 years now with our family, it has become our second home and there's never a question whether we should ever go elsewhere.

Joy and her family are exceptional hosts and can't do enough to make your stay welcoming and enjoyable. The apartments are so well looked after and clean and the gardens and pool areas are always spotless. Joy is always around to help give advice on places to go/restaurants to try and the food and drinks at Joys Bistro is spot on - amazing cocktails and always a cold beer if you just want a day around the pool. The pool never feels busy, its beautiful.

There are a couple of stunning beaches within walking distance (although there's always a hill!) and again a handful of restaurants within walking distance but I would recommend a car if you wanted to explore further afield.

This place is so good to want to both scream from the rooftops about it but also not tell a soul because you don't want everyone to know about it!! My children have already told us they want to get married there and who can blame them!!

You won't be disappointed if you chose to stay at Villa Rosa, it's quite simply paradise. Enjoy!

Paradise

This is a review of Joy Bistro and Lounge pool Bar which is part of Villa Rosa, we were staying at Karavados Beach hotel and happened to walk past this Gem  of a place, firstly it’s an oasis of delight after a long walk, Cocktails we’re fantastic and the food ?! Well one of the freshest Burgers I’ve ever had it’s a 10/10 for me, I don’t know what the villas were like but the whole area was well kept and very smart , highly recommended

Awesome

I spent a week at Villa Rosa with some friends and I cannot fault it. The place is stunning! The views are enough to make you never want to leave. The drinks at the bar are delicious - I recommend the cocktails.
Extra thank you to Joy for helping me put together a vowel renewal for two friends whilst we were out there (they missed having their wedding at VR due to Covid).
The staff are so kind and friendly, and Joy so clearly cares about her customers experience.
I had a wonderful time and would fully recommend Villa Rosa to anyone!
