Aloe studios are beautifully positioned overlooking St Thomas beach. They are well equipped with all you need for basic self catering and tastefully decorated. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the maid who checked we had everything we needed. The studios are immaculately cleaned and fresh towels provided every day. 
I would definitely recommend the studios and hope to return in the future.

Aloe studios

Great location just metres from beautiful St Thomas’ beach - lovely studios, very clean and well cared for with pretty bed linen -which gives the studios a touch of luxury. Great outside spaces too - with sun loungers, tables and the occasional hammock so you can really make the most of the lovely weather. Two good tavernas within walking distance and would definitely recommend a car or moped hire so you can make the most of the area - especially lovely Trapezaki beach and the restaurants and tavernas nearby.

Superb studios

We stayed at Aloe for a week and had a lovely time. The room was simple and minimal, but had everything we needed: a comfy bed, a balcony overlooking the sea and a small kitchenette where we cooked breakfast every morning.
The bathroom wasn't very modern and the shower not the most comfortable (shower curtain sticks to you as you shower and water overflows out of the shower tray). Furniture in our room (12) was a little old too, but we had an amazing time anyway and would be happy to return. The views were breathtaking and the little beach was gorgeous, waters clear and stunning. There are 2 tavernas close by but we had a car and explored all the island in 1 week, trying many amazing restaurants and visited gorgeous beaches. Some of the best restaurants and beaches were just a few minutes drive away from Aloe studios which was very convenient. The place is clean and very chilled. If you like a quiet holiday in a less touristy area, this is the place for you.

You need a car when you want to go to other places.

Vacation

As with all other reviews the apartment and views are wonderful. The beach however is packed from dawn to dusk along with its drawbacks of noise, space etc.  So not a place to get away from it all relaxation type of way. Tl

Beautiful studios but becoming a busy resort probably due to the big hotel just up the road. 

I reviewed this with 5* last year and haven’t checked what I wrote then but it’s a beautiful setting overlooking a small sandy beach with clear water. You can lie on the grass, the beach or the rocks and you can snorkel for the small fish. It’s south facing so you have the sun from first thing until last.

Apartments are quirky and spotlessly clean. 

There is a restaurant adjacent.

But you must have a car because it’s down a long road.

We used to walk 45 minutes each night to the Olive Lounge in Lourdes for the best food on the island. Only open in 2018 though. It moves to St George’s Castle in 2019.

It’s about a 15 minute car ride to Argostoli which is stunningly beautiful and every morning you can see numerous turtles waiting for fish from the boats. Great town to buy all of your fruit and veg or you can eat in the 10s of restaurants 

So beautiful 

We loved this place.We toured extensively on the island,but we loved more our small beach in front of the studios. The studios are clean,with nice beds and dreamy balconies.Room No.12 on the top floor was the best,but all the rooms have sea view. The beach has crystal clear water,perfect for families or couples, the tavern in front has great food and the bar nearby has great music,not loud and the perfect spot to chill out for breakfast or afternoon.Kefalonia has sooo many things to see,but this studio is the perfect starting point,we felt really lucky to have chosen it!If you find it available,book it without second thought you won't regret it.It has also fridge,stovetops and hairdryer,but the best part is that you have a beach like pool in front of you for a morning swim and then do the tour of the island recharged! 

The studio added value to our visit in Kefalonia

We have been to Kephalonia twice now and have toured the island extensively. I have not seen another beach to beat the one thirty yards from my studio. Only on Skala have I seen another proper sandy beach and that one is immense and popular. This one is postage stamp in size and has a postage stamp amount of people on it. The water is clear, there is no seaweed. You can swim to the right and towards an outcrop of rock that has had steps fashioned into it so you can get out further up. Or the left, which leads to an even smaller beach. What makes it so good is that it only takes two minutes to get there on foot. At 0900 the beach is still probably yours for an early morning swim. And you don't have to fill your room with sand because there is a handily placed shower and pipe to clean down on. Additionally there is a restaurant adjacent with a view to die for and we found it to be friendly and fresh.

I am reminded to tell you that our room is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated and furnished.

I recommend Room 11 for the best view on the top floor.

And it's only 15 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to Argostoli and there are spaces for your car (which you must have)

Just fantastic

We stayed at the Aloe Studios for 10 days. All the good things that are said about the apartments are true. Just above the beach the apartments are laid out so that there is a good degree of privacy. We had a top floor apartment and our balcony was completely private. The room is tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable. Roula and her family are delightful and very helpful. 

The apartment was kept spotlessly clean by the charming young lady who came in every morning after we had gone out. 

The location is magical and this will be our destination of choice when we return to the island. The only point that we noted was that, being on the top floor, the shower flow dwindled to a trickle at times but this was never for very long and wasn't a problem for us once we realised it might happen. 

WiFi signal was good. 

I can't recommend Aloe Studios highly enough and the combination of location, good accommodation and friendly staff made this just about a perfect stay.
