This family owned hotel is spotlessly clean and well run. The Greek breakfast was delicious including lots of local specialities such as Bougasta , Pasta flora , rice pudding Greek cheeses etc . There was more than enough to suit everyone’s taste . The rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels are provided for both the beach and the room. We felt extremely welcome and will definitely be visiting again. The location of this hotel is unbeatable and is within walking distance of most of the nightlife .  Thank you to the  team at the hotel for making us feel so welcome. This is a holiday we will remember forever !

Argostoli hotel in ideal location

Stayed for 4 nights following our honeymoon on Ithaca.  We wanted to be near the airport, so picked Argostoli - having never been to Kefalonia before (we stayed in Sami before our honeymoon and then came back to the Capital before our flight home).  We picked this hotel for it's front location.  Views did not disappoint but Greece was going through a heatwave on our holiday (38-44 degrees daily), so it was too hot to actually sit on our balcony.
Rooms are quite small.  Very clean though and toiletries/soaps etc and plentiful towels provided.  Can't fault the staff - all very friendly - even the cleaning staff.  
Breakfast - our taxi driver said it was meant to be the best breakfast in Argostoli.  Well......if you like sweet stuff and pastries then you will be ok.  As a vegetarian and healthy eater, I struggled to be honest.  I wanted Greek yoghurt and berries - there was very little fruit (only apples and pears in a bowl on the bar).  My husband managed just fine with eggs, ham, omelettes etc.  There are sweet waffles, cakes, biscuits, croissants,eggy bread, pastries galore.  It's very heavy on the carbs.
One bug bear of mine was the breakfast is presented beautifully - all looks rustic and farm style in little cupboards on on dressers and in kilner jars but this is NOT practical.   I wanted granola - it was on the second shelf up on the dresser - there is nowhere to put the glass jar of granola on the dresser, luckily there was a vacant breakfast table and we used that and I had to get my husband to reach it off the shelf as it was too high.  Also, I had to ask for a spoon - and when they are busy, you might be waiting a while for a spoon to eat your cereal.  The same spoon does not fit in the yoghurt jars - as they decant the yoghurt into the tiniest jars (why is beyond me?) and the cereal spoon does not fit in the yoghurt jar - so you can't get the yoghurt out, so I had to use the coffee spoon.  I don't understand why they can't just have a large pot of greek yoghurt out for everyone to help themselves in a normal bowl?
I think for healthy options the breakfast could be improved - maybe some home made granola, some dark fruits?  Also, presentation - whilst it looks lovely is not practical at all as there is no room to put anything as it's crammed with food.
We did enjoy a couple cocktails on the terrace out by the road, this area seemed popular for lunches and evening snacks.  Staff were always lovely.
Location ideal for town, the harbour.  We caught the ferry to Luxouri EUR3,00 per person - bargain.
To sum up - small rooms, very clean and lovely staff.  We wouldn't return to Argostoli - it's just not our thing (too busy) but if you are looking for a busy, central hotel with a sea view in town then it might be worth a shout.

Lovely staff, small rooms

My wife and I stayed for 4 days here and had a wonderful time. Whilst the rooms themselves are small, the wrap around balcony we had more than made up for this. The breakfasts were amazing and the staff really, really helpful. The hotel is located on the roadside with a view over to the sea and the traffic noise can be a little loud in the daytime. However, with so much to see and do in Kefalonia- you probably will not be around during the day. We loved Argostoli and loved the Tourist Boutique Hotel.

Fantastic hotel, wonderfully located

We've had an extremely bad experience with this hotel last summer. I just was reminded of them when I was looking around Kefalonia again.

Everything's bellow average and they only care about money. Don't let the rankings fool you, it is not worth your time.

Not worth it!

This is a good value tourist hotel.  Good location on the seafront and near to all the shops, bars and restaurants.  Lovely Seaview room,  friendly staff and great local Greek breakfast.  Definitely go there again.

This hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good. 

The views overlook the lagoon and are beautiful.

I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again, it’s open all year round and is central & convenient for shops bars & restaurants.

Great hotel with beautiful views

We had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a balcony overlooking the sea. Everything was spotless and the bathroom, which looked like it had recently been refurbished, contained all manner of toiletries, including a shaving kit. There were also robes and beach towels provided. The breakfast, which was included in the ridiculously reasonable price, was excellent. The staff were efficient and friendly and all in all it was a great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Spotless hotel with sea view and great breakfast!

My daughter and I had to find a hotel at 11 pm after our flight back to London was cancelled.  We'd been staying out of town at Tzanata, so we didn't know any Argostolion hotels. We were so lucky we stayed here! The staff were kindness itself - we arrived at midnight and they welcomed us as if we were family. We rented a 'budget' room - one double or 2 single beds on the first floor (there's a lift). The room was enormous: heaps of room for the beds and for a desk to work at. Air conditioning kept us cool and the included breakfast was spectacular, especially the Greek option, which had lots of delicious cheese pies, omelettes, fresh tomato and cucumber, olives,  Greek yoghurt, cheeses etc etc, as well as coffees and teas.

Our flight out left at 11 pm, and the staff offered us the use of the lobby (a quiet space) for the day until we set off for the airport at 8 pm. One of us had urgent work to do, so we really appreciated the use of desk, printer, and reliable WIFI.  

The hotel is just across the road from the lagoon, where we could see the turtles, and close to lots of fruit and vegie shops, bakeries, and restaurants. The main shopping pedestrian mall is only a couple of minutes away on foot, and there are Orthodox and Catholic churches close.

The hotel itself is small, elegantly decorated and quiet. A real haven from the heat. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Just the best!

We only stayed one night but we enjoyed our stay. The room was smart and comfortable. Air conditioning was a bit loud and not very efficient but did get there in the end. The bathroom was nice, with nice toiletries included, and the shower was powerful. We had a small balcony which had a side sea view, very nice to wake up to. 

Location is good - we found a number of restaurants very close to the hotel and ate well. We managed to park our hire car about 2 minutes walk from the hotel but it did require a couple of loops around, so save time for this and bring Google Maps.

The room was quiet at night.  

The breakfast really stood out. Plenty of choices (many are bread or cake), but also some nice olives, juices, salad bits. All very good. 

Great one night stay

My wife has ordered a wafla with Icecream. Wafla has on it so much chocolate that she was not able to eat. Of course in Greece , this is something to expect but we have asked to bring us a wafla with less chocolate. The result was that the owner of the Hotel denied to satisfy our request, unless we would pay for it. I found this not to be polite and of course they do not care about losing just one customer. I have discussed with the owner to pay just half price of the wafle since my wife could not do it at all but the owner denied saying that wafla
was too generous not to be good enough. Overall , I found their attitude unprofessional, so they prefer not to lose any money at all instead of Making customer feel happy and come back again
