Makis and his family are lovely people but sadly these rooms did not meet our expectations with regard to cleanliness and comfort. The bed and wardrobe were fine but the kitchen area was greasy and grimy and the cooker was filthy.  The bathroom was unusable as the shower curtain was too short and the water didn't drain away as the grids needed cleaning out so the bathroom and entire studio flooded when you showered so we showered outside  for the entire ten days. Accommodation untidy inside and out. Junk, broken furniture and equpiment everywhere including in the communal kitchen. The place needs a deep clean. The photos make the place look inviting but are not a true reflection of the place. Makis is friendly and kind but the accommodation is poor. I'm sorry to write this review but it is an honest review and I think we were misled by other reviews and wouldn't wish for others to be as disappointed as we were.

Lovely kind hosts but dreadful accommodation

We stayed for 2 weeks and found they were adequate for our needs. Although our room was a little dated and in need of a refurbishment, they were clean, had a fridge, good aircon system and plenty of hot water. We were also able to make use of a shared kitchen to get a hot drink, there is also a toaster and microwave should you need them as well as a lot of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. There is a nice area at the back of the property to sit and have your breakfast, or to chill out with a book, which has a view of the mountains  you will also see some of the animals that the owner has on his small holding

The apartments are owned by Makis and his wife and they are lovely people, anything you need you just have to ask them. Maid came in to the room every couple of days to empty bins. Wifi is available and it had a very good signal

If you are looking for somewhere to sleep and have a shower, which isn't going to cost you the earth, then I recommend a stay here

Basic Greek Apartments 

We were at Makis for 11 nights at the end of July 2018 and it was really great. We love nature and animals and not so many tourists and a nice sea. This place fulfilled this 100% and as a bonus Maki was very helpful and great host with a gorgeous laughter.

Perfect location for a relaxed stay. The rooms are clean if a little small but a great base. The owners are very accommodating and will help where they can.the kitchen area is well stocked and shared by other residents but this is just part of the charm. Embrace the typical Greek way,you are after all in a tradition Greek village! Wouldn't change it for a big hotel ever.

Basic Greek tradition

Previous reviews seem to sum this accommodation up nicely. Room was well presented but shared kitchen wasn't very inviting. Animal noise is pretty much constant and the garden needs some TLC. The house is more or less a small holding and the land around is generally very untidy. Owners are lovely. We had to ask for clean towels and the toilet bin to emptied after 4 days. Won't be using the accommodation in the future.

As basic as it gets 

Well - this is a review that has certainly made me think and I hope that you will be able to get a good feeling for the studios as we saw them.
Firstly - the location is perfect. Just enough distance between the beach (bars and tavernas) to the studios which are clean and welcoming although basic in the facilities provided. This is to be expected however and we were pleased with the little studio at the back that we were given. The welcome was courteous and we settled in to out first night - only to be woken by a dog barking constantly. This happened again on the second night. Now we are both dog lovers and have three of our own but on the third night we complained, I am still not sure what dog it was - the owners have two of their own - one Scooby Doo who roams around freely and you will see him around the small resort - the other little Paddy with one eye who is tied up fro her own safety as she chases (and attacks) cars so we were told. Both are well fed and looked after so go and say hello to both "Ella Paddy" brought us tail wags and licks! Then there is the cockerel who doesn't know the time - but again we were fine with this as we are in Greece and expect to hear these noises. No the real issue were the other guests and their habit of shouting and banging doors - one family of "ladies" had a screaming row that tumbled outside! I would have hoped that the owners would have dealt with this so perhaps a little more consideration from them would have made all the difference. The linen and towels were crisp and white and changed frequently, the little kitchen well stocked with crockery and utensils but more could have been done to make the outside space comfortable and welcoming (tables and chairs are provided but everywhere outside needs tidying and brushing up) . There is a real opportunity to make the gardens beautiful but they appeared unloved and untended.
So - would we go and stay there again - no - but did we enjoy our holiday - yes! We knew it was a budget stay in traditional Greek surroundings and would like to thank them for their hospitality but we both need somewhere that provides a decent nights sleep from human and door noise .
