If you are looking for a very well located, comfortable 1 bedroom place to stay for exploring the island then Pelagia is perfect. We stayed in Room 4 (the room featured on booking.com). 
The separate air con units in the bedroom and the living area means you can keep the apartment at a comfortable temperature (and compromise if you have a wife that is too cold and a husband who is too hot!) The two single beds have a nice firm spring mattress which was fine. Well equipped kitchen, although no microwave. Good, powerful shower.
Nice sea view overlooking the harbour area and a good balcony for people/boat watching. Only downside here is that if other apartments are occupied it can feel a bit overlooked. We were there at a quiet time though so this was not an issue at all.
The shutters in the bedroom mean you can have complete blackout and silence for a good nights sleep. Despite being so central noise is not an issue, just the hum of people chatting.
The apartment is about 30 seconds walk from a supermarket, bakery/ice cream parlour and one of the best restaurants (Pergola - highly recommended).
Parking is easy as there are loads of spots either on the road or in the small car park about 50m away.

Excellent location

Not sure how anyone can give anything less than 5* for these rooms. We stayed in room 4 a one bedroomed high floor apartment. Wow, beautifully furnished, kitchenette, bedroom and private bathroom. Very clean and the large balcony had beautiful views to the sea. Friendly greeting from owner and bins emptied daily. Location couldnt be more perfect. Come out of front door and a minute from bars and restaurants. Highly recommended. Incredible price compared with others

Lovely One Bedroom Apartment Excellent Location

Only having the time to spend a week on Kefalonia we had originally booked a hotel in Karavomilos (review to follow once the complaints have been upheld and monies refunded) and decided to move on after two days, my partner did some frantic internet searching and booked the Pelagia Apartments without any idea of what they'd be like, when we got in though what a surprise! We had apartment 3, a delightful studio with its own kitchen, spacious double bedroom, showeroom and twin balconies to the front and back of the apartment. The rooms were spotless, well equipped, cosy and literally 30 seconds from the harbour side although you wouldn't know it. We only wish we had booked here for the whole stay and not wasted our time at the other hole, we'd have no hesitation booking here again next time we come to Kefalonia, thanks for making our stay all the more enjoyable!

Could not fault this studio..
4 studios/apartments in the block we had everything we needed, owner came everyday to clean empty bins, sheets changed twice in a one week stay. Sea view lovely balcony, comfortable bed air conditioned, plenty of storage space under counter fridge, cooker with grill and 3 rings plenty of cutlery and crockery to make an evening meal with. Shower cubicle a little on the small side especially if your of the fuller figure. All in all an excellent apartment and would stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Amazing

Pelagia apartments are a block of 4. On the elevated ground floor is a two room apartment and a studio. The next floor is almost identical. The upper floor apartment and studio have better views from the balconies. During the summer of 2016 I stayed in both an apartment and a studio. The apartment had a bedroom with two single beds and a living room/dining room/kitchen. In this room was a sofa that converted into two single beds. The kitchen area was fully equipped including full size cooker and family size fridge/freezer. Both rooms were a decent size and had plenty of clothes storage cupboards. Both apartments had an iron and hairdryer. The studio had a separate kitchen area with the usual small two rings with small oven underneath cooker. There was an under the worktop fridge with freezer compartment. Both types of apartment had toilet/shower rooms with good powerful showers. Yes, in the studio the door to the shower was a little narrow which could cause a problem for the fuller figure.
The television received BBC World News and several other channels most of which were in Greek.
The apartments are well furnished and decorated. Someone appears each day to empty bins and twice a week to change sheets.
For those who have no wish to self-cater there is an excellent cafe/bar (Gialos) almost underneath the apartments where you can get a variety of breakfasts
It is difficult to find any downside to these apartments but the nearest parking area is about 50 metres away unless you are lucky enough to find a gap in the main square which is about 20 metres from the apartments.
An excellent set of apartments that I would be happy to use again.
 

Great apartments in ideal location

Just returned from two weeks in wonderful Agia Efemia.  Stayed at Pelagia in a studio apartment.  Having read other reviews had no problems locating Denia at Finikas restaurant, who made us very welcome and took us the very short walk to our apartment.  Apartment was clean and tidy and had all equipment required.  We also had the luxury of two balconies one with sea views and one with mountain views. Towels and bedding were changed twice a week and bins emptied daily.  My only complaint would be that the bathroom is a biton the small side and shower entry was a bit of a struggle for my portly frame.  However the location of the apartments could not be better being within a very short walk of bars , restaurants, supermarkets and bakery.
