HAD A WONDERFUL TIME IN THIS LOVELY FAMILY RUN SMALL HOTEL .ROOM WAS GREAT,BREAKFAST WAS A SUBSTANTIAL BUFFET AND PLENTY OF RESTAURANTS NEARBY .POOL WAS FAB ALSO .HOSTS NITSA AND VASILIS ARE VERY HELPFUL .TOTALLY RECOMMEND. 

LOVELY HOLIDAY IN A FAB AREA .

This hotel punches way above its weight. The welcome is outstanding, and we turned up at nearly 2am! Rooms are basic (we find this to typically be the case on the Greek islands) but exceptionally clean. Staff are friendly and as has been said before, nothing seems to be too much trouble. I find it hard to believe that this is only rated two stars as it is such a great place to stay. 

The pool area is lovely, pool is spotless, tons of tavernas in stumbling distance and plenty of reasonably priced supermarkets around as well. 

We fully understand why they have so many repeat customers and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Amazing!!

Lovely family hotel, sparkling pool and very close to beach, shops and tavernas.  Stayed here many times and wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Kos. Lovely breakfasts provided. There are lots of bars close by.

Lovely family hotel

The first evening we arrived and spoke to people they were returning yet again. And I soon realised why what a lovely place to stay! A family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble. They are are such hard working people the hotel is absolutely spotless. You are made to feel like part of the family. If you’re looking for somewhere to come to relax and recharge yourself then this is the place 👍 yards from the sea or a beautiful pool area and plenty of bars and restaurants within minutes. A lovely hotel run by lovely people 🇬🇷

Total bliss

This hotel is a fantastic and family run with integrity, compassion and a fully professional and  excellent service at all time,unfortunately following my recent visit to the hotel I was surprised to find that a number of guests who arrived at the hotel during my stay had booked with Expedia and expected to  have a reservation with the hotel.

Obviously they were extremely disappointed to be told they had no reservation with the hotel and were told allegedly by the Expedia representative in Kos, there was a problem either with no rooms or bathroom facilities at the hotel, in both of these instances both were untrue.

We have been visiting this hotel for the last 17 years and have never had any problems as we deal directly with the owners through their email address hotelkokalakis@yahoo.gr

Book Direct it make sense

Fabulous hotel, spotlessly clean and the owners couldn't do enough. A Brilliant location overlooking the bay, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. We would recommend it highly. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfast was great. A really safe place to visit in these times we are in today. It also has a reasonably priced bar and a lovely pool.

What a fantastic family hotel

Our holiday to Crete was cancelled a week before we were due to go on holiday due to Covid 19 and the quarantine list! Hubby showed me 5 hotels in Kos as that was an alternative place we could visit! I picked this hotel as it stated ‘ sea view and pool view’ and we got exactly what it said! We arrived late in the evening and as soon as we pulled up in our taxi the ambience and atmosphere on the terrace was fantastic to see, everyone was sat having a drink and chatting amongst themselves, following all the government guidelines for Covid 19! The staff at the hotel were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was well organised and fresh each morning, there was only a continental breakfast on offer due to the Covid crisis but still plenty of choice! The pool area was lovely and very clean and the beach was only a 5 minute walk away! We will definitely be returning at some point as the area was so uncommercialised and just typically Greek which we love! Plenty of fantastic restaurants / tavernas  to choose from and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend and we could not fault a single thing 👌

A well needed break from the Covid madness 2020

First the warning - we made a "guaranteed" reservation for this hotel with hotels.com, when we arrived the owners told us they do not deal with hotels.com, had not got any reservation or any money. They only deal directly with customers or via booking.com and they have had problems before with parts of the Expedia empire - of which hotels.com is part.
Luckily they did have a spare room and we agreed to pay them directly and raise a dispute with hotels.com (who have failed miserably to repond to both myself and the hotel owner) and if required, Amex, the CC I used for the booking - which I have. 

Now to the good part - this is a 2 star family run hotel with very friendly staff.
The bedrooms are small and basic but have a fridge, air con and safe - all free of charge. Wifi is available, also free of charge, throughout the hotel.
Initially our room had 2 singles but when we requested a double mattress, one was quickly provided and it was very comfortable.
An extensive continental breafast is provided, with fruit, hard boiled eggs, toast etc with coffee/tea and juice. 
There is a large swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas on the surroundings. The hotel's bar is nearby and provides a good choice of low cost beers/lagers etc
The only down side, which prevented an excellent rating, is the shower cubicle, which is small and has a clinging curtain. 
In the end we had a very enjoyable 10 days there.

A pleasant surprise .......  but not on arrival !!

Nitsa and Vasilis, always present and with a good word to say-creating an easy going atmosphere. The location is one of a kind and everything is clean and knit! Highly recommended for any type of vacation, from solo to couples with or without little ones!
