the owner Nektarios is an unbelievable good host. He is around at all day - or night times or his guests, very welcoming and sitting on his balcony with fresh selfmade lemonade you calm down and it feels like home right after few minutes. The rooms is big and spacy, the bed most comfortable and the view from the balcony just breathtaking! There is free parking in front of the house, very good coffee and tea in the rooms and very nice taverna not far away. Just all you need for some nice and relaxing days. We have been guests already 3 times and definately coming back again.

Very, very nice and comfortable

We stayed at the Olympic View overnight after landing at Chania Airport, before driving to Eastern Crete, and again on the way back. The owner, Nectarios, couldn't have been more welcoming. He sat us down and offered us cold drinks (you must try his cherry raki - delish!) and fresh fruit. All the rooms have names, not numbers and on our 2nd stay we were given 'Aphrodite'. The bathroom was huge, with a big corner jacuzzi with a shower attachment, bidet next to the loo, his'n'hers handbasin, and even a washing machine! And still lots of room to spare. The view from the balcony was probably one of the best views I've ever seen.The bedroom had a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. Kalami is a tiny place, no shops that we could see, and only 2 (or 3?)tavernas but it's only a few minutes drive to picturesque Kalives with its numerous tavernas and sandy beach. The only thing I would change is the parking. Be careful not to park under the trees if they're in fruit, otherwise you'll find it difficult getting the stains off the paintwork. Would thoroughly recommend Olympic View.

Fabulous view.

We stayed at this guest house for just one night, however the owner was more than helpful. We were stranded in Crete due to severe weather conditions. We didn't know if we would be able to travel the next day. The owner said we could stay until the ferry sailed which was not until 9pm. He told us we could use all the facilities and help ourselves to as much tea and coffee as we liked. If the boat did not sail we would then speak again about the cost. 
We would highly recommend if you want a very clean, welcoming and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful surroundings.

Great little guest house 

We received a very friendly welcome by the owners son on our arrival and offered a cold drink which was greatly appreciated as it was such a hot day. Nektarios (owner) then went through the booking procedure with us, offered us information on the local area and and then took us to our room.   The room was spacious and brightly decorated in orange and lemon and immaculately clean. The room had a huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath, unfortunately, Crete at the moment has a water shortage.  The bed was comfortable. Complimentary toileteries and coffee/tea making facilities were in the room.  We really enjoyed our stay here and would certainly return.   Although they do not have on site parking, there is sufficient space to park at the top of the hill adjacent to the accommodation.
