We have never been anywhere in Crete before, but have learnt quite quickly this area is not a big resort and you don't really get bars. Lots of places to eat and sit and drink also cafe bars (where they do serve beer etc but there is a coffee culture).

We found here to have a nice drink one eve. Waiter was friendly and did well with English to engage in a bit of banter. It's a well presented place, close to sea so there is a little breeze on an evening. 

I'd recommend it for a lovely evening drink.

Lovely place for drink

Just back from a week celebrating husbands 50th Birthday,have had the most relaxing holiday.

We arrived at Inea Hotel in heat of 40 degrees to a welcoming free drink at the pool bar.
Was shown to our room number 31 very spacious studio with adequate self catering facalilties and much needed air conditioning (free).
Good sized balcony with view over the pool and sun from around 2pm so was nice to sit and have breakfast in the shade.

Rooms were kept very clean with towels changed regular and bed changed once in our week stay.

Bathroom had a shower over a very small bath tub for us this was a luxury compared to some of the accommodations we have  stayed in on our travels round Greece.
We are more beach people than sitting round the pool but the pool bar staff were very friendly and as previous comments on the price of drinks being expensive they are but they do have  happy 2 hours 4pm till 6pm highly recommend the mojitoes best I have ever tasted.
The price of food was reasonable but we didn't have any food from bar but it did look nice.

The pool was busy every day with locals but this wasn't a problem for us and it wasn't all day the busiest times were from around 3pm to about 6pm.
The hotel is in a very good position for all the amenities, beach across the road, with access to lots of other bays which meant when busy you could always find a quite spot with shade as there are lots of trees.

Bus stop also across the main road but please be aware that you need to be at the stop on the left  hand side of the road for going into  Chania, the one with the shelter.

There are several of the local supermarkets on the same street as the hotel and Lidli and  in ka  supermarket are up the next main road from the hotel turn right at the end of the street then right again at the junction follow road up to the hotel Sun City and Lidli is next door and the other big supermarket us across the road from Lidli.

We ate out at Flamingo Hotel and Resturant, Talos both these can be found down the first side street as you walk up the street from hotel, we also ate at farmers house just across the street.
The Flamingo was very nice all tables set outside, the food was very good 

Talos was very good which showed in how popular the place is, you need to be very understanding in that you could be waiting a while at busy times, the staff do explain that you may have a wait but I can say the wait is well worth it.
I had moussaka which was delicious and my hubby had cod pickled beetroot, walnut and garlic paste, he was told that this meal was the nearest thing they did to fish and chips, it was nothing like fish and chips it was far superior.

Farmers House was was good but was more basic.

There was Wfi and we had a good connection in room 31 

We will defiantly be returning thank you to all at Inea Hotel for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Husbands 50th Birthday holiday

Inea Hotel appears basic upon arrival, but we had a great holiday

I have to say the apartment/room was as spacious as any I have stayed in on my travels, including the canaries. The bathroom was a bit cramped. 
Ok, check in is at the sister hotel up the street and there is no reception at Inea. 
Rooms cleaned almost daily except Sundays with fresh towels and bed linen
Reasonably equipped kitchen with fridge with freezer compartment
Air con works fine. balcony overlooked the pool, we could not complain about that.

Location wise, it has a selection of restaurants and bars only 5 minutes walk away. some of them are really excellent with quality local food. Plenty of little shops and Lidl is 15 minutes walk away (go early in the day!)
There are 4 clean sandy beaches to choose from with shallow water and very safe.
the bus stop for going into Chania is located on far side of the road.

The hotel pool bar may be a bit pricey, but do people go to Crete on a drinking holiday? The place has a nice vibe to it, quite laid back, chilling music in the background.
The hotel pool gets busy in the afternoon as the locals come in (often with kids), they sit down have a drink and then cool off in the pool. We never had a problem with the locals or getting a lounger. There doesn't seem to be the habit of putting towels on loungers early in the morning - long may it continue!

We rented a car and went exploring - highly recommended.

Nice stay, would return

Stayed in these apartments for 12 days.   Usually apts are quite basic for the money in Greece but I must say theses were the best we have ever stayed in Greece. Huge balcony to front, airconditioning, hairdryer, soap and toiliteries.  The bathroom is very small but compact.   Only complaint, pool is very deep even for a swimmer and the locals appear to jump in and out all the time so uncomfortable for guests.  Beach only 2 minutes away and we used Eastern Gulf one as the man was very kind and made sure we got sun seats and cover every day for €7 per day.   Weather was extremely hot but the sea was lovely.   Hired a car for 3 days across the road from very nice girl who supplied us with info about the island and had it marked out on map.   There is a pool bar but prices can be pricey.   Our pals near us had few probs but we were fine.   Apts. cleaned every day and the towels were big and fluffy.   Buses into town down the road and it's no 21 and the return fare for the two of us was 2.40 euro.   Overall, very nice stay and would stay again

Spacious studio

We have arrived to Inea hotel on 19.05.2016 and stayed for 3 nights . We have taken a taxi to Chania Town centre 2.5 euro each , it take us about 25-30 min .If you go to the main street from the bus station and take left on the first traffic light you will have the public buses there , take the number 21 to the hotel . ( the driver will tell you where to get down ) .If you want to take taxi will cost you around 25-30 euro .
The hotel is surrounded with lots of good value restaurants , IN-KA ( local shop ) and LIDL just 10 min away . Just few minutes walk you can found 3 different beaches .
The rooms where cleaned every single day , the size is good as well . ( Stayed in Studio for 2 ) Perfect for relaxing and have a great time even if you stay only by the hotel pool . 
A big shout out to the Bar Staff that make our stay the best and also a huge thank you to Maria who welcomed us .
We had a great stay at this hotel and will recommend to everyone , if you are looking for a good position and great value chose this hotel .
