The best thing that we could say is that the rooms are clean. The kitchen is below our expectations. The foods are swimming in oil, and they are very poorly flavoured. There are no signs to tell you what you will eat/can choose from. We also saw the cook, who was really dirty, that’s not the thing how you expect a cook to be. And there are flys everywhere, it’s just terrible. The staff is however very kind and cheerful, which is nice. I would not recommend - there are places with similar pricing that offer better food or just go for accomodation because the location is nice with the see just 1 minute from your room  but don’t book half board. We ate out at Stefanos (10min car ride) and that was the food we expect on Greece to be.  The beach is nice.

Stafilia Beach Hotel is absolutely lovely place and one can feel like at home! 
Starting from the reception with the lovely ladies that welcome you with a smile and are always super helpful if one needs anything. 
The restaurant is very good, it has a great buffet also for vegetarians with a lot of vegetables and the staff is super nice and they make sure everyone is feeling welcome. 
The garden of Stafilia Beach Hotel is nice and green, full with fruit trees and other plants which the gardener and all around good guy is looking after and last but not least the cleaning angels that keep this place very clean and tidy are doing an amzing job. 
A place many people keep returning to because it is a small cosy hotel right at the beachfront - a holiday home away from home!

A holiday home away from home!

Although the hotel is designated as a three-star hotel, it does not meet the 2020-2025 essential criteria set by the Hotelstars Union, a partnership to which Greece is a signatory. The crucial criteria that the hotel staff, service, and pieces of equipment don't meet are:
The team doesn't have uniforms or suitable clothing (The bartenders wear uniform aprons from under which "modern" ripped jeans look entirely out of place).
There are no identification badges (except for the daily receptionist).
The wait staff is rude and incompetent regarding soft skills and attitude towards guests.
There is no  laundry or ironing service, 
No linen shelves in wardrobes, 
No accessible power socket near the mirror in the bathroom, no storage surface, no toothbrush tumbler, 
No body wash or shower gel at the shower, no shampoo, no facial tissues, 
The hotel does not have a website, pencils, notepads, or any printed or digital information about the surrounding area.
The above listed are the minimum criteria a three-star hotel must meet. The safe and air-conditioning are only available for a fee, 
The overall impression of the hotel is medium. The rooms are clean. It is also quite unusual that a hotel guest has to pay a tourist tax in advance for the time he booked a space. What if something happens and he doesn't stay, e.g., healthy issues in the hotel? The owners can quickly rectify technical and material issues. What is more challenging is the staff, who will need to attend more training and education for the hotel to justify a three-star standard.

suitable for undemanding Four S holidaymakers (sun, sea, stone, sand)

Me and my two friends were visiting for  4 nights and 4 days recently from 28th July til 1st August  - the visit was so much better than expected. Firstly, a big thank you to Joanna, Michael, Chris,  Dennis, Sienna and Yannis, they were the absolute best at making us feel welcome and recommending great things and places for us to visit. The beach was within a very convenient walking distance and the Sabina Water sports was a very good time, we went for cliff diving and enjoyed the boat ride in general. Another person i want to thank is Phillip who runs the near by super market (stafilia beach supermarket) he provided a lot of insight into the local area and the different activities we could also do. He is going to open up his café next door to his shop so hopefully on the next visit we will be able to try that out!

Welcoming staff and beautiful time

Sorry to be one of those people….. BUT 
I checked in to a lateral sea view room last night. Firstly I can see a postage stamp of the sea it’s not a front facing sea room at all it’s a room that over looks the rest of the hotel and the front of the room is in the car park! And above reception! I slept terribly not only due to the heat as air con is an extra charge! But the noise of the bin men at early hours and being so close to reception I can hear people checking in and out! 
I went to complain this morning which the man who checked me in said to ask if I can move to the sea room view but there was no rooms available. I stated I was going to leave a bad review on trip advisor in hoping they would be able to offer me something else or maybe even give me the aircon for free but no such luck! She was happy for me to write a bad review on here! 
I will not be returning and am looking at other hotels to stay. I haven’t looked at any other facilities here.

Bad experience

For our stay in rhodes we chose this hotel because it came with the deal, so we didn't expect much. First things first: the room was spacious and very clean, the staff extremely friendly, walking distance to a beautiful cobble beach (sunbeds included) and the hotel area was cosy. (For me, the most important things for a relaxed stay!). But it was still just a 3-star hotel and nothing really more unfortunately. WiFi was available but only at the reception and the pool area and there sometimes poorly. The buffet-food was okay, sometimes traditionally greek but no sensation, exept you ordered á-la-carte then it was very delicious and your money's worth. 
Another thing is that the area was very secluded and only surrounded by huge hotel complexes and no tavernes or similars. But 10min walking there is a bus station with not that extremly unpunctual busses to nearby towns to reasonable prices. Also the taxis have a fixed rate from town to town.
We really enjoyed our stay in stafilia beach, it was a relaxing and quiet stay!

Nice 3-star hotel

We stayed at the Stafilia Beach Hotel for 7 nights. The rooms are very clean and mostly comfortable (as much as you can expect from 3 stars). Still there' s something strange going on with the shower (hot and cold). 
We got demi-pension and the food at the buffet was mostly good (though not always great). Since you can always order a la carte or combine buffet with a la carte i have to say the food here is very good. Especially for the price...
The staff is very friendly, no complaonts here. I felt very welcome from beginning to end :)
They also have a little bit of beach for themselves, with parasols and sun lounges. Which is great :) 
One thing to mention is the fact that the hotel is quite secluded. Though there ate more hotels and tourist taverns nearby, you can only reach other towns by bus or boat. 
I can recommend the Stafilia to eveyone who doesn't expect too much luxury and is looking for a more quiet vacation...

Second visit to Greece :)

We stay in hotel for 6 days and its nice holiday for us. You can chill and chill. Dont expect night life, bars and clubs. In hotel you can hear music only from next hotel. 
Appartment- very simply, but clean (in our app- 2 bads, old cupboard, icebox, table, miror). Aircondition was not included in price (fee is at about 8 € per day). Bathroom- clean, but water in shower was in one moment cold and for 2 sec warm (same in all app. when a lot of people are in shower in same time). Staff was very friendly and helpfull (speaking deutch and english). Bar / restaurant- no vegetable on breakfest. In halbpension without drinks on dinner. You must buy drinks in poolbar. We stay in hotel for 6 days and meal was teasty and different every day. 
Pool beach- clean, sea is beautifull, but for me cold water, sunbads FOR FREE in pool area and beach too.  You must only reserved it with towel before breakfest. I recommend to bring shoes to sea (because of hot and unconfortable stones on beach). 
Near the hotel is bus station (1km). To lardos its only 10 min.by bus and to lindos 20-30min. You can go by walk to little villige Kiotari (straight on the road by the sea). Its about 1km to first hotel in kiotari. Its nice walk by hotels, but there are only 2 restaurants and bars, because of a lot of allinclusive hotels.

We just stayed in this hotel from August 1-14, 2014. We liked it a lot. Hotel is small, private and clean. Beach is right in front of your room and has pine trees shade on it. Even 5 star hotels that were next to us do not have pine trees on the beach (where you have to pay double to stay). Stafilia beach is nicer than 5 star hotels beaches. The sea is crystal clear and warm. Staff is very friendly. We liked swimming in the sea, so pool was of no interest to us, but it was nice. The food was good. Not too much choice, but what they served us was tasty and plenty. Rooms were kept very clean. We loved the beach proximity and the shade on the beach. The deep section in the sea starts only 2-3 meters from the shore, which we really liked but maybe non-swimmers or people with small children would not. The only thing that could be improved is to get wifi in the room (you can only get it at the pool bar and reception) and maybe more fruit for dinner. There is not night entertainment, it is very peaceful, but we loved that. If you need quite vacation to relax, swim in the sea, read your book on the beach and go to bed early, then this hotel is perfect for you.
