I would like to warn the alleged customers that Foinikas Studios will not return the money if the ferries do not sail to the island.Because of bad weather at sea I could not present myself in the accommodation for 3 days without Ferris, there is no airport.So they behave very badly with the customers, I felt cheated.

From the reviews read at a later time there was a moment of fear since we would have to stay 8 days but in the end if you take the studios upstairs and you are not too demanding...the towels and sheets change every two days, the perfect location, the owners a little absent but still very available. Coffee machine (added value).

Take the rooms on the upper floors

Located near by the port of Merichas, in a central position. The room was small and the tiny WC was stinking all the time. You can't even sit normally in the toilet. There was a flat TV and a working A/C. Apart from the ants in the sink, the rest of the room was rather clear. Just forget the parking, like everywhere in Merichas. Try to avoid it.

No way

It is a somewhat old-fashioned structure, which can be improved in many respects, ideal for those who are not particularly demanding.

Strategically positioned

Located in the center of merichas near the supermarket and tavern and bakery, a few steps from the harbour, the structure could be very valuable, but I think it's poorly managed. Too Spartan, not too clean, has a cheque of a broadcast. the room x three is not recommended, too small, even x open a suitcase, has attached a small kitchen with little equipment. the room x two is a little better, but also here little supplied with dishes and glasses, cooking with mercury plates. During the day there is the owner who speaks English, but at 20 pm the reception who and if you need something you have to call.

Just like the norm

This hotel was convenient for the Port, but was disappointing in cleanliness. We stayed in April and I suspect that the rooms were not properly prepared ready for the coming season.
There was a separate kitchen area but the hotplates were rusty. There was no bin for litter. The shower room had dirty chrome fittings and a rusty radiator. The shower curtain was stained and too short, so the floor got wet. There was no shower head bracket. The bed was comfortable but a rather small double. There was a balcony onto a parking area. The TV channels were Greek and no English speaking channels.

Not the best in early season

We have stayed in such good studios in Greece that this one was a bit of a disappointment.  We had no complaints about cleanliness, the bed or the air conditioning, however the studio was less well equipped than most.  For instance, there was no kettle or coffee machine and only one tiny pot or one huge pot.  It seemed indicative of the place that the only toilet paper were two almost empty rolls.  The wifi was slow.  The outside area was very basic.

Well below average

We had a very pleasant time in Kythnos, the Hotel Phoenix was perfect for us. The studio had everything necessary to enjoy the island peacefully. The guests were very pleasant and arranged. We highly recommend this hotel.

very nice

This small studio hotel is very well situated in relation to commerce and the harbour. The reception is very friendly and they have allowed us to choose our room. The exterior and interior spaces are clean and new. It is also possible to have a nice meal in the small kitchen located at the entrance. The air conditioning is present in the room. The only bathroom that is a little small and the internet is available from the reception. I highly recommend this accommodation that offers all the comfort and tranquility that you are looking for on this small island of Kythnos.
