We already loved what we saw on the photos before hands but the location and the villa exceeded our expectations. All the rooms are equally beautiful and more than once did we want to have bbq or dinner at home because the sunset view is unbeatable. The house is equipped with everything one could ask for. We were 9 people and all equally happy. I highly recommend this for a group as big as ours.

Most beautiful Villa and location

We have stayed in numerous luxury villas over the past few years but this was one of the best! We stayed in August 2020.  We had children aged 8, 9, 10 and 12 and they loved the pool.   The rooms are well decorated and spacious with the best views on every balcony!  The kitchen area is functional and well set-up.  We used the laundry room downstairs and the communal areas inside.   The Wi-Fi is not great (can be in and out) but that is to be expected due to the remoteness in the mountain area.  You don't get the amazing (seriously amazing!) views without that height.  The drive off the main road is rocky but it is signposted well and the directions from Mark and Sharon were spot on.   A car is a must but we had heard some people do walk into Vamos and neighbouring towns.  The highlight of this villa is the most amazing outdoor areas.  The chill out area with egg chair and hammock and the BBQ/Pizza area (we used lots) was just fantastic.  I cannot explain how wonderful the sunset views are from the villa.   I can see why Mark and Sharon purchased the land and built the villa.  It was just a brilliant holiday during a tricky time but Mark and Sharon followed all protocols regarding Covid.  The welcome pack was also a really lovely touch - best welcome pack we have had!  We even got to use the great Boules area - had some fun games. As I said we stay in some great places and we just had the best time in Villa Kerasi.   Highly recommend!  The area is also lovely and we visited Almyrida, Georgiopolis, Kalyves (beachs and restaurants).  It is great place to go with friends and family.  Thank you for the best holiday!

Amazing Villa for Family and Friends

We stayed at Mark and Sharon’s villa as a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. The villa is in a stunning location with breathtaking views (the Pictures don’t do it justice). The villa itself is large, with comfortable beds. It was immaculately clean and every last thing had been thought of to ensure that your stay is comfortable.  it was a fantastic and relaxing stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Note that We would consider a car essential as due to the stunning location, there is a reasonably long and rough road to access the property (as made clear in the website.)

Wonderful location and villa

The B&B is run by Mark and Sharon and is superb. Their hostility and friendliness is fantastic. The view is magnificent. Enjoy the fabulous breakfast from the many available terraces.

Tip:
If they organize a BBQ for the guest, join, it’s great fun.

One of the best B&B’s ever

We absolutely loved Villa Kerasi and had a wonderful time there. If anything their excellent website photos don't do justice to the spectacular location - the views are simply stunning. Villa itself is stylish and comfortable, hosts Sharon and Mark strike the perfect balance between being friendly and helpful but without being intrusive. It was our 40th wedding anniversary; when we arrived there was a lovely welcoming cake and bubbles. That got the holiday off to an excellent start. We'll definitely be back, probably in either spring or autumn to enjoy walking in that historic and beautiful part of Crete. Thanks Sharon and Mark!

Perfect location for family clelbration

We rented Villa Kerasi for two weeks for a family holiday.  You have the option to take the villa with 3,4 or 5 bedrooms and we had all 5 to give us flexibility.  The villa is absolutely beautiful and the gardens and views are breathtaking. Every bedroom is beautiful and has its own balcony or terrace and all are air conditioned. The thought and care gone into the design and finish are obvious everywhere you look. The kitchen is well equipped but with the option of the huge outdoor kitchen we spent most of our cooking time outdoors. Mark and Sharon were the perfect hosts. They were completely responsive to any needs but gave us absolute privacy.  The bedding and towels were changed every few days and the villa cleaned from top to bottom. The track to the villa is a bit bumpy but not a problem at all and with Vamos and Gavalochori so close with an excellent range of restaurants you’ll get used to travelling it regularly.  We also ate a few times in Almyrida and took few boat trips with Dream Adventures from the quay. They will do a private hire and you can pick the best places to snorkel and swim. We would definitely return and highly recommend Villa Kerasi as the perfect Crete get away!

The Perfect Villa

Recently finished a 4 night stay at this immaculate property. Location, quality and attention to detail make this stand out from other hotels that claim to be boutique.  Pool view and warmth of the hosts Mark and Sharon are what we felt make Villa Kerasi. When we arrived and were met personally by Mark and Sharon, whilst showing us the stunning grounds, a returning German guest Ralph, jumped off his sunbed and with a beaming smile, shook my hand and said “ welcome to paradise”. You got that right Ralph !  Thanks again Mark, Sharon, we look forward to visiting again. 

Outstanding unique boutique B and B

Existing reviews pretty much say it all - a superbly run small luxury residence, immaculately clean throughout, inside and across the beautiful pool terrace and gardens; and made special because of the exceptionally warm and engaging personalities of Mark and Sharon.  The barbecue evening we were delighted to attend during our five-night stay (perfect sunny weather throughout, by the way) was a highlight, with the hosts managing to create a genuine house party atmosphere amongst the multi-national little gathering of eight guests.  Wifi, not surprisingly given the rural location, is on the weak side (no bad thing for those needing to detox a little), and the 500m or so of stony access road isn't the easiest thing to drive on.  But we really enjoyed two evenings out, walking the 30 minutes or so to and back from the nearby villages, both with plenty of restaurants.  Overall highly recommended, and excellent value.  The car hire arrangement lined up by Mark & Sharon worked very well too.

Very impressed!

We've just spent the most heavenly 2 nights at Villa Kerasi. The villa is immaculate with every little detail thought of so it feels like a real home away from home. The outside space is beautifully laid out with lots of places to chill out, all with amazing views, and the garden is an oasis of flowers and wildlife. Our room was so comfortable and stylish with an enormous balcony looking out towards the sea, the bed was amazing and we both slept like babies as it's such a peaceful area (but still with lots of great beaches and tavernas just down the road). Then there's Mark and Sharon, two such lovely people who clearly love what they do and take real pleasure in making peoples holidays really special. Nothing is too much trouble and they create such a relaxed atmosphere around the villa we can see why guests return time after time, both the other couples staying when we were there had been before and were staying for 2 weeks.. We wished we were too! Can't recommend this place enough, it's an amazing place and amazing value! 



Heavenly Two nights 

We stayed with Sharon and Mark in Mid Oct 2018. Where to begin with how wonderful it was??   
This was our first visit to Crete and Villa Kerasi was a perfect base to explore the nearby sites and towns.  
The facilities at the Villa are spotlessly clean, the views unbelievable and gentle sound of the sheep bells from the nearby flock sent me to sleep every single evening.  
The facilities at the Villa are amazing - we did not use the pool as it was bit cold at that time of year but it has a wonderful view over the valley.  there are plenty of places in the ample grounds to lose yourself with a good book.
We walked into Vamos most evenings for a meal and the walk, whilst not short, is easily doable for someone of reasonable fitness and a beautiful way to end a lovely day. They provide torches which are essential!
Mark and Sharon provide great recommendations for places to eat and the places they recommend we would have otherwise missed.  They were all wonderful and we had some of the best nights out at these restaurants 
The breakfast they serve is plentiful with a great choice catering for all tastes and food preferences.  The tea and coffee facilities are a nice touch.
It is wonderful to meet and chat to other guests over breakfast or afternoon tea and cake and this really makes the experience even more enchanting.
From the moment we arrived [Mark came out to greet us] to the moment we [reluctantly!!] left at the end of our stay they were perfect hosts and made us feel part of the wider extended family.
