Awful accommodation, dirty bathroom, rooms not cleaned. Good local bus service into agia marina great beaches and chania but please book alternative hotel. greece is a great holiday destination lovely people great food

Great area, Awful accommodation

Just a great friendly hotel  with lovely staff and everything you need in one street. Large family pool is warm and clean with plenty of sunbeds, chairs and tables to eat the freshly cooked dishes. Rooms are clean and comfortable and all have balconies. We are made to feel so welcome  by the family who run Pergamos. Back again next year.

Greek hospitality at Urswick best

Very good value for money lge basic apartment cleaned every day. Lovely pool area staff very friendly and helpful food around pool and restaurant very good. Bus stop at end of road bus either direction every 20 mins

Lovely family holiday 

We were generally happy with our stay because the hosts were accommodating and friendly. Nothing to complain about except that the nearby beach was really rough most of the time. We ended up going to the beach in Platanias.  

Generally happy with our stay

Argy and his family created such a relaxed atmosphere the resort felt like a private club where everyone chatted together. I think we were the only guests who catered for ourselves in the basic, but functional, kitchen area.  Everyone else ate at the very close taverna, run by Argy's parents, and highly recommended for their meat dishes.

As vegetarians we found most menus offered us little choice and the nearest reasonably sized supermarket was a bus or car ride away.

However the pool area and bar are lovely and well looked after.  I will treasure the memories of swimming while swallows swooped and dipped over the water.

I can understand why so many guests visit again and again.

Great small friendly complex

Had a fabulous 10 day stay here with family. Pool was lovely and warm, Argy was a great host along with Viscillious his nephew who ran the bar area. Very helpful in advising where to go to eat out etc. Short walking distance to beach and water park which again was brilliant. Beds were made daily by housekeeper.

Bus stops right outside and relatively cheap to get around to various places.

Internet was brilliant and even worked in our room which was a bonus.

Would most definitely go back again to stay here as felt lovely and welcome.

Brilliant place to stay ideal for families

No clean towels without a moan in Greek 
Cat crap everywhere especially our balcony/terrace area ! Couldn’t sit outside the room with the smell 
Stray dogs all over the show and a pretty hostile manager that wouldn’t swap rooms for us 
Tele was from 1942 so the kids were miffed off ! No remote all week cos he wouldn’t sort it out ? 
Kitchenette was from even further back in time with no space to chop a butty and no pans or pots 
Worms and bugs all over the show 
Pool was grubby 
Pretty pished off to be fair 
Also don’t stand on them stepping stones in the pool cos they’re slippy as ! Fell off them and smashed my leg to bits and nearly died 😎

Crap

Love staying here, this was my 5th year in a row and always happy to go back. would recommend to anyone. The family here are brilliant and really helpful.
Rooms are great and has everything you will need to enjoy your Crete Holiday.

Another amazing trip

We stayed here for 10 nights , lovely relaxing holiday. Rooms cleaned and towels changed very regularly. I broke my foot four days before arriving but excellent local bus service and easy to use and managed to get around with a boot on and crutches.  Good Taverna just over the road which was useful . Pool area great and Argy & family friendly. Argy sorted car hire and airport taxi out. Would definitely return.

Lovely place

Upon arrival, at 1am, we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly. The room was basic, but large and very clean and we made use of the air conditioning after the first night!  Walking round the site in the daytime, you can see just how beautiful the complex is, with some fantastic plants and trees and it's all kept remarkably well and clean. The site itself is situated around 25 minutes on foot from the nearest large supermarket, but there are a few smaller shops closer. The beach is all pebbles, but if you are looking for a sandy beach, Platanias is a short bus ride away, and it took less than an hour to get to Chania on the bus, which was amazing. This is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday (although we went during term time), and I honestly can't say enough nice things about the owner and his son, who were extremely friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be staying there again
